I think the bubble Mew is underrated. I just think in a sea of mews, many in the same exact pose or close, the bubble Mew is unique and charming in its art.

Although it’s one of the best cards of the set(s), I still think that the Mewtwo VStar from Crown Zenith / VStar Universe is super underrated. I get that there is a lot of product out there, but this artwork is so incredible, unique and also has a Charizard! For anyone like me who grew up playing Red/Blue/Yellow, this is the ultimate fight we where all talking about in school made into a stunning artwork. Pokèmon has been knocking it out of the park with Alt Arts ever since Battle Styles, but man, this card is next level in my opinion. Never seen anything like it since I am collecting again.
I know it's a 80-90 dollar card but I still feel like the Mew ex from Paldean Fates is underrated. I believe it will reach the 150-200 dollar mark in the near future.
I think that storyline cards will hold their value as the years go on. For example, the Ralts, Kirlia, and Gardy art rares that tell the story of the woman’s life throughout the timeline. I think over time, having the full set will be able to sell much higher over individual prices. Absolutely love your content and never miss a video👍🏼
I think now is a really good time to jump into some of the best artworks from XY era as I feel like they’re undervalued whilst everyone’s eyes are on SWSH. For example Alakazam EX 125/124 is only around $35-40 in NM condition, and features both Umbreon and Lugia in the background, both Pokemon which people will always love and chase. Gyarados EX 123/122 is another card with amazing artwork for a similar price. I feel like new collectors and old collectors will at some point want to jump into these sets once the SWSH hype dies out, and these are worthwhile looking at
I think both the Ice Rider and Shadow Rider Calyrex is slept on a heap, I can't get over how great both the trainer gallery cards are in Astral Radiance !
Honestly any Trainer Gallery card is criminally slept on… I’ve gotten so many in the $1,$3,$5 bins and while I’m glad for it now, makes me twitch just how underrated they are!!
Hey bud ! I believe that the 151 set is the most undervalued and underrated in relation to where it could be in the future. I would say that the starter pokemon holos are the most underrated. Example, Blastoise EX and Venasour Ex. Great channel, excellent conent. Cheers mate !
Purely from an artistic collector POV, I have a ton of underrated cards: - Dodonzo, Armarouge, Miraidon ex and Koraidon ex on SV1. This Dodonzo is spectacular and this Armarouge is so very special, a whole mood. - In PAR, Yveltal and Espathra. This Espathra card art is worthy of a legendary Pokemon. - Arbok, Reuniclus and Shiftry in Temporal Forces - Zeraora VMAX and Vstar, Latias, Hisuian Zoroark Vstar and Magnezone in CZ... Soooo many! Could not choose just one sorry ahah. If I had to pick in this list, I'd say Espathra in PAR. Not caring how many ppl don't like the pokemon itself. It is an piece of art I would not mind having on my wall.
Vstar Universe is my favourite set ever, and the prices of cards to start collecting the set are great right now. This set would be a good shout too! Working on an English 151 master set too. 151 will increase exponentially in the future considering how great all the art is! Nostalgia overload... Keep up the great work :)
In my opinion Ninetales Illustration Rare from Obsidian Flames is a very underrated card. Gives me a Princess Mononoke, spirit of the forest, Studio Ghibli vibes.
I think the most underrated card right now is the sleepy Tyranitar from Battle Styles, being the first set to have alt arts, it really paved the way for the sets after it like evolving skies and lost origin. The sleepy tyranitar is often overlook because it is in Battle Styles .
I think most of the Special illustration rares(and even some of the normal illustration rares like the deerling/sawsbuck from temporal) from S&V are pretty under valued right now. Probably since they’re still in print, but I think in a few years these beautiful cards are going to go quite a bit up in price
The charizard Are always underrated. Just cause pokemon is trying to cash out with them. People will still love them in the end and process will always go up.
Good Work Phil. Celebi and specially the Mew are incredible Artworks. I also feel Eve evolutions are the "safest" single Card Investments besides charizard. Feelinara v looks insane.
Great video and I defintely have some investment opportunites based on this video. In my opinion I think Lumineon V from Crown Zenith is very underrated for it's artwork only being around $20 AUD for a raw copy. Such a beautiful card and design using the blacks and the vibrant colours for the coral around the card.
After a previous video of yours I’ve jumped on the entei suicune and raikou trio psa 10, so for me that’s the underrated ones they are fantastic once in hand! I also have a young daughter who loves cards she loves to sleeve them and carry them around(so of course at the moment she just has the commons😅) big love from Melbourne your channel is helping me transition into pokemon from the dbs tcg.

Not so sure on the OF Charizard as the PF one overshadows it so much in art work and they're both somewhat similar in style. Definitely one to keep an eye out one nonetheless as it's still a Zard. Love the Mew as well. Still conflicted as to whether it's a good of bad thing that such great artworks are made as promos like the English version. Great for adding to the collection but such a standout card being available for around £5 here in the UK doesn't feel right. It'd be up there with the bubble Mew from PF in value if it was in the normal set.
Yeah the gifted promos do make it feel less valuable! One side is cool to have great cards acquired easily, another side sucks because they’re so hard to get!
Earlyyyyy gang! Underrated cards in my opinion are the rainbow rares! I never hear them talked about enough for something so popular and then poof they are gone.
Everyone is focused on Sword and Shield, but I’m out here scooping DEALS on Sun and Moon alts. Vileplume GX fullart from Cosmic is one of the nicest artworks ever
@@phillips.collectibles I collect from all eras- anything that has amazing artwork. Everyone is so focused on Sword & Shield when there are older sets with rarer cards with top tier art for cheaper. Take Mewtube from Shinning Legends for example. The raw price is near pare with Machamp alt from Astrial. Machamp is nice, but it’s no where near the level of popularity, nostalgia, and art quality in comparison to Mewtube. Just my opinion
The Zappos alt art in SV 151 is one of the most underrated cards in the SV run in my opinion it’s such a unique card and it has the 3 classic legendary birds together flying witch tells a beautiful story just Amazing, I feel like that card should be more than $30 usd.
Keep up the great work! Have a hard time deciding on just one so currently the Secret Rare Pikachu from Crown is amazing. The Ninetails from Obsidian Flames is fantastic and the Drowzee from SV base is incredible!
I'm busting open a bunch of S&V base packs soon, and if I don't pull one out of those, I'll be grabbing one of those Drowzee IR's for sure (even though I hate that pokemon lol). I've seen that card go for less than $10 recently, when it's one of the absolute best artworks of the whole S&V era.
Great insights yet again with this video! I personally believe that the Hex Maniac trainer card from the best of X and Y is underrated. It has a extremely spooky vibe to it and the card is beautiful in person 👻
I think the 151 mewVSAR, Mew is one of the most iconic and my favorite mythical pokemon as well as its lore. And the card is so beautiful and portraits the character of mew perfectly. And if you cant get the Japanese version you can still enjoy the promo for 19-20$ in a PSA-9.
I’ll say one of the most underrated would be the Miriam from S & V base. Feel like she has a ton of room for growth and the artwork is pretty damn nice.

A card thats underrated is the hisuian zoroark vstar from the crown zenith galarian gallery absolutely beautiful card the got a bit of love this past year since it about doubled in price from around $7 to $14
Gyarados EX 225 is super underrated I think… was my chase out of scarlet and violet on release day and came out the gate around $20… recently it’s been as low as $2… I picked up one the other day from eBay auction for $.99… such a steal!
Given how Crown Zenith cards are starting to go up in price, I feel that the Pikachu (Secret) card still at ~$10 is really an underrated card. It’s absolutely amazing artwork that includes other popular Pokémon.
I pulled the Glaceon GG card from a Crown Zenith ETB last week. That's another eeveelution card that will only continue to rise rapidly in value. One, because it's an eeveelution and two, because the artwork is gorgeous, and looks even better in person.
The tinkaton illustration line from Paldea evolved are my pick. I think the colour composition is great as is subtle storey across the three cards. Tinkatuff is the favourite
The Simisear V Star special illustration rare is a super underrated card in my opinion. It’s has a super unique style and design that brings out the quirkiness of simisear in such a cool way.

Ialso agree that crown zenith is the best to start with, absolutely stunning artwork and easier to pull than most other packs. after thats i say scarlet violet / paldea evolved, very beautiful alt arts or full arts.
Also just purchased Gengar TG06 from Astral Radiance and Loudred 212 from paradox and i think both will continue to grow in value. Both are incredible looking cards.
i think all charizard are underrated now, couse we are full of this charizard arts in this year, a lot of, but if they stop going crazy with it we will miss it so much

A card under value for sure is Janine out of Night Vision from Japanese sun & moon era. 80 USD for a female trainer who is a gym champ as psa 10 is a steal!
I had a box of JP 151 come in today and although I was going to keep it sealed I decided to open it. In the second to last pack was the Mew SIR. It was exciting to pull out of the pack rather than buying it.
Pokemon will never die out .. there will always be a market for these cards …. I almost died of laughter when Palworld was released and people actually had the audacity to call it the Pokemon killer 😅
Honestly, that secret rare Pikachu from Crown zenith will pop off eventually - even pikachu promos pop off like a Generations after for cards, so I have no doubt that come the end of scarlet and Violet, this card will be like the pikachu promo featuring the galarian starters is right now, if not better, since it wasn't a promo
I really love the Red (Shiny) Gyarados EX from XY Breakpoint. I think that one is a steal for what it’s priced at now. Just wish they made more red gyarados artworks.
Love your content! imo Jessie and James 68/68 from Hidden Fates is a really underrated card, the card is looking so good overall and those two from rocket team just bringing back some memories!
I love these videos! An underrated card I would say is the Mimikyu v tg in the past weeks it’s doubled but even before that I can’t believe it was just a 10-15 dollars card
There one stand out card for me, The Darkrai v star from Crown Zenith. The artwork is unique and is actually beautiful. With the card sitting at around $70-$80 in a PSA 10 is radically low.
I feel that in the future .. when the scarlet violet era comes to a close. The Mew ex alternate art from Paldean Fates will be considered one of the top 10 most valuable card and most desirable of that era. Not only is it Mew but it is a fantastic alternate artwork and 🎉also is valued under $100 at the moment….a great investment considering where the direction of collectors are going with alternate art cards to begin with. Of course it’ll show a major dip like all Pokémon cards do but as that error closes that will be one of the top 10 most desirable cards of that error for under $100 at the moment.
My underrated card is Erika SIR from 151. Beautiful artwork and a textured card for only £20 in the UK right now. Hard to pull and very difficult to grade in a psa 10 (low gem rate). Currently overlooked as a trainer card against the many great Pokemon illustration rares but one to watch out for in the future I think - it’s also very popular in the Japanese set
I feel like the first card of Scarlet and violet, the Japanese Pikachu promo, is really underrated. It’s such a iconic and beautiful card, and it’s a pikachu for under 10usd . It does have a horrible high pop report, but it’s just pretty to be that cheap.
Yeah that card really is unique. Did you end up getting it on release? I bought it on release and paid so much more. Could pick It up for super cheap now.
Many beautiful artworks from crown zenith are hugely undervalued imo. Main standouts for me are the vstar eeveelutions and darkrai vstar, where you can pick up psa 10 copies for under 100 USD. Beautiful cards that I think will definitely rise in value
I think the Guardevoir from SV Base set is also underrated. The pull rates were pretty good in that set, but Guardevoir has an amazing art especially with his pre-evolution cards and Guardevoir is a real fan favorite pokemon. I believe this card will go up a lot in value in the future

I’ve always thought the Celebi V was always underrated as a card and its artwork. I was happy to pick one up right before the spike. As far as the card I think is still underrated from SWSH era would be the Starmie V from Astral Radiance. That one is now starting to climb and I wish I had grabbed one earlier but I think this one will continue to go up. From S&V era I really think the Skeledirge EX from Paldea Evolved will gain a lot of upside in the future.
As an artist, the featured Celebi is my visual standout. However, hot take, I think Garchomp V TG23/TG30 is a long-term sleeper, simply because of the iconography AND their iconic standing in the Pokémon fandom. The background is lame, but the view from below, making Garchomp stand like Godzilla doing Cynthia's bidding is bold and memorable imo. In terms of a % increase on its cheap point of entry, I could see it gaining real traction after several years.
This one has been mentioned a couple times already, but I have to throw my vote in for the Zapdos ex SIR from 151. It's such a gorgeous card but seems to get overshadowed by the starter lines from the same set. It features the other legendary birds as well, which is a big plus. Love the content! Keep doing what you do!

i think the radiant/mythic collection full art promos are really undervalued. they are low pop in a 10 because plastic boxes always mess the card up but they arent really expensive. I got each of one of mine except the mew for anywhere between 100-200
I would have to say the Eveelutions Jolteon V-Vmax, Vaporeon V-Vmax, Flareon V-Vmax promos full alt arts. Everyone will want them in the future to complete their sets for evolving skies or to complete their Evelutions V and Vmax full art alt arts sets. I would also have to say my favorite gold cards from Crown Zenith set, I'm tryna get three of each for my master sets and for grading. There is nothing like the gold cards out there and I feel like they are being slept on because there are so many out there and easy to get in PSA 10s beside the giratina Vstar GG69
I think if people are looking for good Eeveelution cards to invest in, the Leafeon and Glaceon VSTARs from Crown Zenith are actually really good choices! Stunning artwork plus they're cheaper alternatives for the Leafeon and Glaceon V's and VMAX's from Evolving Skies.
Investing doesn’t have to be expensive especially if you’re doing it for the long run. Full art Gloom from obsidian flames is a clear example of it and it’s only $2!!!

Take Mewtube from Shinning Legends for example. The raw price is near pare with Machamp alt from Astrial. Machamp is nice, but it’s no where near the level of popularity, nostalgia, and art quality in comparison to Mewtube. Just my opinion
The Zappos alt art in SV 151 is one of the most underrated cards in the SV run in my opinion it’s such a unique card and it has the 3 classic legendary birds together flying witch tells a beautiful story just Amazing, I feel like that card should be more than $30 usd.
He definitely missed that one. Bay far one of the best arts.

Keep up the great work! Have a hard time deciding on just one so currently the Secret Rare Pikachu from Crown is amazing. The Ninetails from Obsidian Flames is fantastic and the Drowzee from SV base is incredible!
I'm busting open a bunch of S&V base packs soon, and if I don't pull one out of those, I'll be grabbing one of those Drowzee IR's for sure (even though I hate that pokemon lol). I've seen that card go for less than $10 recently, when it's one of the absolute best artworks of the whole S&V era.

Great insights yet again with this video! I personally believe that the Hex Maniac trainer card from the best of X and Y is underrated. It has a extremely spooky vibe to it and the card is beautiful in person 👻

I think the 151 mewVSAR, Mew is one of the most iconic and my favorite mythical pokemon as well as its lore. And the card is so beautiful and portraits the character of mew perfectly. And if you cant get the Japanese version you can still enjoy the promo for 19-20$ in a PSA-9.

Yes I pick up a psa 10 one a few weeks back I just really like the artwork.
I’ll say one of the most underrated would be the Miriam from S & V base. Feel like she has a ton of room for growth and the artwork is pretty damn nice.

Personally for underrated cards, I would have to go with the Great Tusk ex alt art from Scarlet and Violet base set.

A card thats underrated is the hisuian zoroark vstar from the crown zenith galarian gallery absolutely beautiful card the got a bit of love this past year since it about doubled in price from around $7 to $14
I believe pikachu #160 from crown zenith is so underrated. First of all it’s in if the hard pills from Cz and secondly look at that piece of art.

Gyarados EX 225 is super underrated I think… was my chase out of scarlet and violet on release day and came out the gate around $20… recently it’s been as low as $2… I picked up one the other day from eBay auction for $.99… such a steal!

Given how Crown Zenith cards are starting to go up in price, I feel that the Pikachu (Secret) card still at ~$10 is really an underrated card. It’s absolutely amazing artwork that includes other popular Pokémon.

I pulled the Glaceon GG card from a Crown Zenith ETB last week. That's another eeveelution card that will only continue to rise rapidly in value. One, because it's an eeveelution and two, because the artwork is gorgeous, and looks even better in person.
The tinkaton illustration line from Paldea evolved are my pick. I think the colour composition is great as is subtle storey across the three cards. Tinkatuff is the favourite

I think 151 is incredible as a starting point. The next is 100% Crown Zenith!
Ialso agree that crown zenith is the best to start with, absolutely stunning artwork and easier to pull than most other packs. after thats i say scarlet violet / paldea evolved, very beautiful alt arts or full arts.
Also just purchased Gengar TG06 from Astral Radiance and Loudred 212 from paradox and i think both will continue to grow in value. Both are incredible looking cards.

There one stand out card for me, The Darkrai v star from Crown Zenith. The artwork is unique and is actually beautiful. With the card sitting at around $70-$80 in a PSA 10 is radically low.

I feel that in the future .. when the scarlet violet era comes to a close. The Mew ex alternate art from Paldean Fates will be considered one of the top 10 most valuable card and most desirable of that era. Not only is it Mew but it is a fantastic alternate artwork and 🎉also is valued under $100 at the moment….a great investment considering where the direction of collectors are going with alternate art cards to begin with. Of course it’ll show a major dip like all Pokémon cards do but as that error closes that will be one of the top 10 most desirable cards of that error for under $100 at the moment.

My underrated card is Erika SIR from 151. Beautiful artwork and a textured card for only £20 in the UK right now. Hard to pull and very difficult to grade in a psa 10 (low gem rate). Currently overlooked as a trainer card against the many great Pokemon illustration rares but one to watch out for in the future I think - it’s also very popular in the Japanese set

I feel like the first card of Scarlet and violet, the Japanese Pikachu promo, is really underrated. It’s such a iconic and beautiful card, and it’s a pikachu for under 10usd . It does have a horrible high pop report, but it’s just pretty to be that cheap.

Many beautiful artworks from crown zenith are hugely undervalued imo. Main standouts for me are the vstar eeveelutions and darkrai vstar, where you can pick up psa 10 copies for under 100 USD. Beautiful cards that I think will definitely rise in value

I think the Guardevoir from SV Base set is also underrated. The pull rates were pretty good in that set, but Guardevoir has an amazing art especially with his pre-evolution cards and Guardevoir is a real fan favorite pokemon. I believe this card will go up a lot in value in the future

I’ve always thought the Celebi V was always underrated as a card and its artwork. I was happy to pick one up right before the spike. As far as the card I think is still underrated from SWSH era would be the Starmie V from Astral Radiance. That one is now starting to climb and I wish I had grabbed one earlier but I think this one will continue to go up. From S&V era I really think the Skeledirge EX from Paldea Evolved will gain a lot of upside in the future.

As an artist, the featured Celebi is my visual standout. However, hot take, I think Garchomp V TG23/TG30 is a long-term sleeper, simply because of the iconography AND their iconic standing in the Pokémon fandom. The background is lame, but the view from below, making Garchomp stand like Godzilla doing Cynthia's bidding is bold and memorable imo. In terms of a % increase on its cheap point of entry, I could see it gaining real traction after several years.

This one has been mentioned a couple times already, but I have to throw my vote in for the Zapdos ex SIR from 151. It's such a gorgeous card but seems to get overshadowed by the starter lines from the same set. It features the other legendary birds as well, which is a big plus.

i think the radiant/mythic collection full art promos are really undervalued. they are low pop in a 10 because plastic boxes always mess the card up but they arent really expensive. I got each of one of mine except the mew for anywhere between 100-200

I would have to say the Eveelutions Jolteon V-Vmax, Vaporeon V-Vmax, Flareon V-Vmax promos full alt arts. Everyone will want them in the future to complete their sets for evolving skies or to complete their Evelutions V and Vmax full art alt arts sets. I would also have to say my favorite gold cards from Crown Zenith set, I'm tryna get three of each for my master sets and for grading. There is nothing like the gold cards out there and I feel like they are being slept on because there are so many out there and easy to get in PSA 10s beside the giratina Vstar GG69

I think if people are looking for good Eeveelution cards to invest in, the Leafeon and Glaceon VSTARs from Crown Zenith are actually really good choices! Stunning artwork plus they're cheaper alternatives for the Leafeon and Glaceon V's and VMAX's from Evolving Skies.
