- The Sky is priced to compete with the Mazda Miata and has dimensions close to the pricier Honda S2000. The sub-$25,000 Sky gets a 177-hp, 2.4-liter Ecotec four mated to manual or automatic five-speed transmissions and near 50/50 weight distribution.

and something else about this vid.. you don't have to hook the roof and then get out again to close the trunk you can put out the roof, close the trunk (and the side "hooks") and then get inside hook the roof and go. it's simple enough for god's shake..
I'm not sure why everyone complains about the top. I have a 2008 Sky Redline and I can put the top up or down in less than 15 seconds.
bradwp2002 most of people do! but mostly because they read magazines complains and they copy paste their words, I mean its not easy as my volvo hard top but that detail wont keep me from buying one, I want one
That's....pretty terrible for a soft-top. The Miata--it's direct competitor--puts it down OR up in less than 2 seconds. One handed. From the driver's seat.

My mom bought a Saturn sky 2007 it really is fast car. I love it
You missed the pop-out cup holder on the right side of the transmission hump. The stock n/a 4 cylinder is more reliable and will last longer.

wow what a terrible presenter. Guy has no personality whatsoever, just drones on and on. Had to stop watching. Seriously, show some excitement, let us know how the car makes you feel... instead we just get a spec sheet listed out. This is NOT a review.

they still make the sky (I think) and I know they still make the solstice because I saw a 2010 in a BMW dealership
I have the Sky - and I agree that the guy could have more personality but his "review" about the convertible top is ridiculous. Dude, from the time you pop the trunk, you should have the top down and the trunk shut in about 20 seconds and less than 30 to put it up. It is true, you do have to get off your butt to put it up and down......

I have a Miata and a C4 vette vert. The C4 top is similar as the kappas. The Miata is more convenient since you can put the top up from the driver's seat. Just lube the joints and lift yer weights. My tops are down all the time since I leave the cars in the garage. With the Vette you need to plan for rain a bit more. Mazda system is better designed, but it's not a deal breaker if you like the car. IMO a sports car should not have an automatic top. Sports cars are getting too heavy and big as it is.

There is no 2010 solstice, Pontiac is not making any new cars as they are being phased out. They are just selling whatever stock they still have, You probably just saw a 2009.
I love saturns but the sky was rebadged as the Opel gt Pontiac solstice and daewoo g2x they all look close to the same but the sky is the best looking

you are. i saw this saturn sky review to compare roadsters with my own. his lack of enthuasiam and underpowered vehicle clearly is not gonna sell any skys. hence there is a reason why i am here.
Both the sky and the solstice are gone now :(
My 06 Solstice handles WAYYYY sharper than either of the two Miatas I had (one of those cars had the optional "Hard S" suspension package).

I have one confidential . I got this car. I went in told the sall person I tell him what I wanted when he went to this one a 5 speed car grate on miles. and the price is is grate.

I'll take a V8 Mallet version of that car. Check GM High Perf. mag jan. 2007 and see how a turbo 1200hp V8 mallet Sky handle. It's not a tube chasis either.

@CakeS2k Yeah man i had an S2K, until i got my doors blown off by a sky redline. Then i realized how slow the fucking S2K was, it has no torque. So i sold it and got the Sky redline, its a way faster car...

you pass ??? hahaha with what tuning man ??? are you serious ??? at least here in europe opel gt comes with 265Hp and after 180km/h i cannot even see in my mirror the s2000.. be real! s2000 is a really nice car or i should say was it's old news now.. opel gt rules... now if you pass the american sky or solstice with the 175hp what can i say ?? it's your illusion.. take care drive your beautiful car with joy but don't speak for a car if you hanen't driven it...
why bother posting then? why be on a saturn video? i know the s2000 isnt the fastest car. i didnt purchase it for that. i purchased it because of what it offered. if i wanted a faster car i could have bought a used corvette for the price of a new s2000. but i didnt. now i simply saw the saturn review and it was bland. nothing special and ridicously overpriced for a company with horrendous reliabilty, reputation, and brand name.
I'll stick with my Mitz Eclipse GT Spyder convertible! Ragtop takes 10 seconds to open or close and still plenty of trunk space to put my golf clubs in with or without the top down!! And with it being a 6cyl,....she is FAST!!

Nate Kenny is got almost 300 hp. That’s about the same as a $65,000 Audi S5.
This car is a piece crap. No power top. Looks ok with the top down. And ugly as fuck once the top is up and u have to get out of the car and do it urself. No trunk space..?? Piece of crap...
