The way Studio MDHR treats their employees is great as well, I’ve heard they let them take paid vacations which is honestly wonderful and very generous of them

Dude I got this dlc the moment it came out and I have to say, it was worth the 4 year wait and I love playing ms chalice. To the people who say that the dlc was lackluster, they clearly don’t appreciate true art when they see it

Actually the run n’ guns were after thoughts! Pretty sure that the publisher said something like “no one would buy the game if it’s only bosses”
I didn't think they were after thoughts at all they offered very cool rewards for doing them like different filters for the game like 2 striped mode which made the colors of the game look blended like a water color painting and black and white mode for completing the run and gun levels in certain ways

*2:22* Yeah, my favorite has got to be The Howling Aces. Everything about this fight is absolutely ethereal, from the background, to the actual boss animations, to the banging boss theme, to the phase change, to the beyond creative attacks, to the DOGfight pun, to the secret phase, to how you brutally murder all of the jetpack puppies, to the final phase where you fight a furry bait hot dog lady piloting a giant steampunk chinook, to it's screen rotating gimmick... Everything is so amazing!.. Studio MDHR blew this boss battle out of the park and into the Stratosphere (Or should I say, into the Troposphere! Get it? Because... Planes usually fly in the Troposphere instead of Stratosphere... Nothing, nothing). What an absolute milestone of video game bosses!

Cuphead in general has been a very influential game for me and the main reason why I got an xbox before it came on the PlayStation, so when the dlc finally released I rushed in the morning to buy this thing, and it was 100% worth it, the music especially the giant’s and the moonshine mob’s themes are absolute bangers, the gameplay is hard but extremely fun to play in, which I cannot say about some bosses in the base game, I like the vibe and the animation is just eye candy

I recently 100% this game and the dlc and I gotta say this game is an amazing experience and deserves all the praise it has gotten. I truly believe that this game will go down in history to be one of the best looking and most fun platforms/run and gun games of all time. Thank you Studio MDHR for making this wonderful game.

fun fact: the moonshine mob boss's first 2 phases are both cut content bosses, the spider was nonfunctional in it's unfinished state and was basically just an image of a dapper spider with 6 legs and a long tongue, itwas obviously changed to what we see now. the second phase however was a working bossfight with placeholder art known as "the light" and operated very similarly to the phase we see in the bossfight with some changes, the only thing unchanged was the 6 spinning beams with groups of 3 moving clockwise and counter-clockwise with one of the groups going into a damage cycle. (you can watch the tetrabitgaming vid about it for a more concise explanation than what i gave)

One of the thing I absolutely love about Cuphead is how it bridges a generational gap with the art style. Most people that are currently in their teen years or young adults didn't grow up with this art style. Cuphead perfectly shows off this style in the best way possible.

Worth the wait, such a banger dlc
They completely deserve it, drawing and inking every frame from scratch with such a small amount of people is… insane. And to do it again for a DLC? I love 2D animated stuff, so when I first saw Cuphead I was intrigued and amazed at the style. Glad it’s so sucessful, and the soundtrack slaps too tbh.

I don’t care how much I want to see or play more Cuphead content, I think that this dlc is the best conclusion for this game. By the way, the animations is more fluid than before (not too much fluid).

I’m so glad this was made, even better the new playable character chalice! I literally wasn’t able to get an A on every boss on other isles and pacifist rank on some levels until chalice came in. Her double jump, 4 hit points, and variant super arts/attacking in airplane mode is absolutely wonderful and suits Ms.Chalice.
I love the uniqueness for the bosses, especially the fake knockout.

I’ve beat the dlc twice and I don’t intend on stopping anytime soon, I love all the new boss designs so much.
Cuphead is one of those games that I wish I could experience for the first time over and over, it's such an amazing, beautiful game, and the dlc has been phenomenal.

I know that you don’t like it when someone suggests a game to you, but Blasphemous is a very fun metroidvania 2D plat-former game that has satisfied me while waiting for silksong is still in development. The few who picked up this game liked it and the lore is very interesting in my eyes. Hope if you do decide to pick it up that you enjoy it just as much as I do.

1:38 quick tip, if you wanna replay the secret graveyard boss AND the mausoleums, press L and R when you get close to them.
Also because a lot of people don't know if you go in a circle three times on any isle great djimmi will give you double health. You can do this only three times if you haven't beat the final boss so use it wisely!
This game was great, and I can’t wait to finally get the dlc.

I also love how many unused things came back like the triple shot light but sadly they remove all unused bosses from the files so you can no longer play them

Great video! Honestly though, I was kinda disappointed with how they did miss chalice though. Like her upgrades are cool but I kinda wish you had the option to just play as her without using the equivalent of a baby mode.
I personally of course think she is much easier to play as but sometimes the parry dash can be a disadvantage. Her double jump is good but a singular one on its own is far smaller than Cuphead and Mugmans and can throw you off if you forget.
I’d hardly call her baby mode, not only is dash Perry more awkward a lot but not being able to smoke dash in the air can get you hit a lot

Im happy honestly ive been a fan of cuphead ever since release but i myself never played as i thought it would be way to hard for my tiny brain, however i still bought the game none the less because ive loved chalice since the beginning turns out because of her kit it makes it easier for me to play so i actually get the chance to play without wanting to cry
