I love watching you and Mr. Wayna together. But what I love most about you is, how generous you are with everyone especially the children that live by you. No wonder your children are so proud of you ❤
Awe thank you so much. I do love those sweet little kids.
That's funny!!
When you were talking about the ice cream man and how nobody goes without it, it reminded me of a very sad story that I wanted to share with you. My father was brought up in a Catholic orphanage in Pennsylvania. He knew his parents but they just did not want the responsibility of raising their own children so put them in an orphanage. At that time Saturday was designated as the day that family could visit. The families were each asked to please give 25 cents so they could buy candy for the kids for the week. If your parents didn't show up and you did not get the quarter it was okay because they still let you share in the candy. But if your parents showed up and did not give you the quarter you were not able to share in the candy. My father is now 80 years old and when he tells the story he's still cries. Because he used to pray every Friday night that his parents would not come on Saturday because when they did come they never gave him the quarter. Which is why I will never deny a child of anything. God bless you for being so kind to all the kids.
Awe, I bet your father is a wonderful and caring man. God Bless him.`
You two are the most adorable couple! You are so blessed.
Mrs. Renea , thank you for taking care of the kids and making sure the get a special ice cream. I was a disabled child, now aa disabled adult . I new how it was not to get the extras. I love watching everything you do.😂 Your a special angle.
I love your videos! I think you are a real person and shows it like it is and that is what I like about you and your hubby! You shop like I do. And when one kid gets something and there’s four all four gets! Love the two of you! Deb
I remember buying popsicles one summer day to last my four kids a month or so. That afternoon all the neighborhood kids were riding bikes and my kids wanted to join them. I gave away all the popsicles to the neighborhood kids. Was such a joy and I miss those days!!
Awe, I do love those days.
Those pork rinds containers are awesome! I have about 20 of them. I buy 100s of lbs of flour and store it in those containers. Oh also I have 2 full of oats too. 😊
Good tip...Thanks!!!...🦋
I just love your grocery lists,.❤️😁❤️👍. You shop pretty good if you ask me,.. i always enjoy watching your podcast,.. nothing goes to waste on your show,. You always make everyone happy 😁😁❤️❤️
My goodness I just finished your video and ..you had to be tired after that shopping trip!! You are a go getter done mamma that's all there is to it...I love watching you! You know good deals and are an excellent cook. No doubt you can cook anything from scratch our younger generation doesn't even know what it means..
Have a wonderful day ! Your friend in c.a.
Hey Renee and Mr Wayna!!! Renee. ..I buy that organic spinach all the time and freeze it just like that in the container.
I take out what I need for omelettes, soups, stews, red sauces, alfredo sauces, pizzas, bagel pizza....etc!!!!! Stays fresh!!;
I’m a new widow (since June of last year) and my shopping trips now consist of very little shopping. I miss my husband so much helping me carry groceries into the house. We were married for 50 1/2 years. I enjoy watching you and Mr. Wayna so much. Reminds me of the way we were.
I understand.
Oh we are so sorry for your loss.
Thank you, I get such a kick out of watching the two of you. I used to can and bake, too. Maybe this summer. Love you guys!
Hi Renea and Mr. Wayna!!! I sure enjoyed your hauls. You got alot of good items. Thanks for showing us!!!...Great Video!!!...🦋
If you crunch up the fried pork skins they make great low carb breading for chicken.
Pork rinds r keto friendly and great for Mr. Wayna. If u dip in cheese should be great also.
There’s an awful lot of sweet stuff in that haul. 😮
Poor Mr John. That’s really going to test his self control.😢
You’re a very generous person providing all that for friends & neighbors.❤🎉
No don't worry.
I love watching your videos. I used to get free groceries from a Christian organization. I always enjoyed getting to see what was in each box. Unfortunately they had to close due to a lack of donations.
Pork rinds are great with buffalo chicken dip too!
You spent more at one store than I get for my monthly grocery allowance. lol I'd love to go to the store and buy everything I wanted just once... it would be a blast! 😆😄
That was a big haul.you bought amazing foods.have a blessed day❤
Great haul! I love watching you make the charcuterie boards. They always look like a masterpiece! I would let Mr Wayna try the whole grain thins. In some people the whole grains do not spike levels like the white breads. Meat lettuce and cheese could be 1 carb or less, then pork rinds 0. Low or no carb dip with low carb veggies( celery, broccoli, cucumber, peppers, tomato and so on). This would make for a low carb and filling meal for lunch or dinner. Just give it a try, and then you will know how it affects him. Maybe keep a journal of all the things he eats that doesn't spike his levels and soon you will have a huge list of things that he really likes that would be okay for him to eat. You two got this!
I love your hauls!! I was in Shipshewana last week and I always look for you. 😂 I keep hoping I’ll see you on my weekly trip.
Oh wow Renee good luck putting all that away that will be an all day job nice haul
I love *Sucralose (name brand is Splenda... and it is delicious in coffee !! My favorite
Hello Renea and John! Pork rinds are so good with a little salsa or hot sauce and those containers are amazing. Pickled bologna I haven’t had since I lived up north. I love it when you do the charcuterie boards. What a good haul.
Hope you both have a very blessed day!!
I’ve been diabetic for 30+ years the way I was taught was 15 grams of carbs is 1 carb and I am allowed 12 carbs a day.
Renea, they make chocolate hummus, if you can't find it you can make it, very low sugar! My super picky son even likes it.
Good Morning ☀️ ❤
Sucralose is the same as Splenda. The yellow boxes are a good indicator.
When you are counting Carbohydrates, deduct fiber counts and if made with artificial sweeteners deduct sugar alcohols to get a true carb count. Aldi's has low carb bars that are delicious. Fantastic sweet treat for diabetics.
Renee.....try a couple of those FlavorIce in sparkling water.
Very refreshing on a hot day!!
Also those pork skins from Sam's Club are the best! I get them too!!
Watermelon is a super food of the highest order. Hope Mr. Wayna can have it.
Oh boy that's a big haule. Wish I lived next to you or close to you because I would ask ahead of time and we would have got stuff to make pizzas and cook them and few things for the kids while they play. It is always fun to watch the little ones play while cooking outside. You are so blessed your little ones are there. And thank you so much for what yall do and all the cooking shows you do.
The stevia is better for you then the Suraclosa. But I have found out the monkfruit doesn’t raise your glucose
Renea, I want to say thank you from the other day. Hubby and I went to Meijer yesterday. I got me a bag of little carrots among other things. Came home, unloaded the groceries and got my plastic tub out, put some water in there and rinsed those little carrots off. Taste really good. Have a great day, Love & hugs from Laurie
I am so glad you gave those delicious little carrots another chance.
Keep an eye on that man of yours. He keeps sneaking those grapes and grapes are the worst fruit for a diabetic.
Yep. The best fruit I know for lower sugar are squash type (not watermelon) and berries 😊
I noticed that too, and he knows it is loaded with sugar, he should take some accountability for what he eats, Renae shouldn't have to watch him like a hawk....I know she buys grapes for her charcuterie boards, but we just stopped buying them altogether
I only noticed him once taking a grape. The other times were cherries...looked like to me. I saw him looking for the cherry bag after Renea moved it to place something else.
@@sharongriffith7505 I counted 7 grapes he only ate 2 cherries. I'm a diabetic and my doctor doesn't want me to eat any grapes and if I do, only 5 grapes. I just don't buy any.
@@sharongriffith7505 lol, cherries aren't much better !
Wow! That's a haul! I've become addicted to your channel, been watching all your videos!
Good Morning ☀️, what some great finds ya’ll got. Love seeing you both together and having a good time. 👍 Up on those deals at Aldi’s. Have A Wonderful Blessed Day🌷
Thomas brand makes a bagel thin that John can eat. Very low in carbs but a little pricey. Worth it when hes craving something different.
They even make low carb tortillas now.
I am type 1 diabetic and I eat orawheat keto bread seeded. It has 10 grams of carbs and zero sugar. I eat a sandwich and doesn’t affect my blood sugar 👍 It’s also high in protein.
Stocking up is always a good thing been doing that myself lately
Renea you have a kind heart and Mr Wayna is eating grapes keep your eyes on him from Philadelphia
Woo Hoo!!! Way to go!! I love a big shopping haul!! Love it, have a wonderful day!
Hellooooo over there!!! Good morning everyone. Great haul! Have a blessed day Mr. Wayna and Renea! 🦋🥰🙏💕
Mr . Wayna has a beautiful smile
Love your channel
Hi, I love everything, The little WOMPERS, Hazelnut waffers are so good. They are so yummy.
You're doing a grocery haul, I'm doing a garbage/recycle haul. (long time coming). Open 4-6pm. ha! You know how it goes, 'get on the stick Brian'! lol Thanks Michigan!
We already had our spring clean-up. It was great. I think they need to be open all day.
Im with you on the pickled bologna!!
I went to Oryana yesterday, and they were out of wild rice in their bulk foods, but they do sell a mixture that contains brown basmati rice and wild rice is them.
I bet that would be good.
Hi Friends, I may be wrong but I believe your supposed to minus the fiber number from the carbs number. Hummus is delicious, my favorite is spinach artichoke. Wow what a haul you have there. Do you charge for your charcuterie boards? You surely buy an array of yummies to go on them. Thanks for listening! 💜🤓
Renee, if you buy the wheat berries and grind them yourself, Mr. Wayne can have bread etc made from the fresh ground wheat flour. There’s lots of info online about the fresh ground flour still have all the fiber etc in it and much much better for diabetics.
Such wonderful advice. I like the parfait idea but john will not tough yogurt so I figured I may be able to use the zero-sugar cool whip. You know, I did think about the weight watchers diet because it does give you variety and does teach portion control. Yes, we eat the same now and I love it, not that he is diabetic but that he eats healthier.
When counting carbs, subtract the fiber content. I have been diabetic for over 25 years, if you are able to take the nutrition class it really helps.
This is a great haul. I always love watching your hauls. By the way, I think Mr. Wayne looks like a slender George Jones. ❤❤❤❤
I was watching your video earlier. Then I watched other things. One that reminded me of your husband. The video is put out by "EMMYMADE". She took a chicherone ( a giant pork rind) . She brushed a bit of pizza sauce on the chicherone. Then topped it with her favorite pizza toppings, then more sauce and mozzarella cheese. See if you can find it. Your husband can eat it with no problem.
Great haul ❤
Hi!!! How much do you charge to do the Charcuterie Board??? Do you use your really long board Mr.Wayna made and they give it back to you???...🦋
I only do these for friends and they pay for all the ingredients.
I'm going to try to be nice here. If Mr. Wayna wants some grapes eat the grapes. I'm diabetic for 30 + years and I'm still figuring out what I can and can not eat. When you realize oops I cant do that then I don't do it again!
you are amazing Renea❤
Wow what a great haul..for sure u be good till summer ends . Wish we had a Aldi here in ontario canada..u save alot there..amazing..john hope u do try the hummus cause it is good to eat. Have a wonderful day ❤
Good for the rest of the year..hahahaha. Loved how much you laughed at that. Can't blame a guy for trying....
Holy to moly! Is there any food left in the store????🤣🤣🤣
Hello sweet lady. Just a helpful hint, sucralose may be a zero calorie sugar substitute but it is known to raise blood sugar levels. Where as stevia is known for its anti-diabetic properties and being able to stabilize blood sugar. So stevia would be your better option as far as Mr Waynas blood sugar.
Thank goodness the stevia was the one he liked.
I just Adore you!!!❤❤❤❤😇😇😇
Love I got first to see you today!
If you fold up the brown paper bags and keep them for draining fried chicken on…or anything that is fried. Saves on paper towels. Also, use your plastic grocery bags to line small trash containers. The plastic bags can also be used for when you go to the discount stores instead of all of the big boxes that add up and such a hassle to dispose of! Ask your dietitian about the Weight Watchers diet…my ex was diabetic and he could do this diet. It teaches you portion control, what you can have and what you should only have once in a while. I use to fix my ex a large chef salad or salad with about 6 boiled shrimp on it with 6 whole wheat crackers and ranch dressing for lunch( only 2 Tablespoons of dressing). The water enhancers are great to get you off cokes. Ice tea with artificial sweetener is better with a little lemon or mint. The more protein he gets will curb his appetite! Best fruit for lower sugar are berries…make you all a beautiful parfait by layering some Greek yogurt, blueberries, another layer of yogurt then strawberries then yogurt. Sprinkle with some keto friendly crushed cereal on top( 1-tab) and a sprig of mint to make it look appetizing. You can either bug Greek yogurt sweetened with artificial sweetener or buy plain and use some sweetener you bought with a dash of vanilla. That would be great for the 4th of July. Make everyone’s same just with regular products. This way he is not tempted. You can also make key lime pie from key lime flavored yogurt( sugar free), with graham crackers and the sweetener with just enough butter to hold crust together. There are recipes that you can make whole wheat pie crust or buy them from Trader Joe’s. Whole Foods might have them too. You can order or ask these stores where to find dietetic Karo Syrup. He can have a six inch pancake. Plus they now have cake mixes and icings for Keto that will probably work well for him. Go on walks with him so he doesn’t feel like he is totally alone in his new lifestyle. Old habits are hard to break anyway, but if you can be his partner in this new way of life he will be successful and it will help everyone get healthy. Keep up the good work…I know how challenging it can be!
each meal should be 45 g to 60 g and 15 g snack
Hummus is delicious!!
Where do you get your energy? I love it.
I sleep like a brick for 8 solid hours each night.
nice haul not a bad price considering all you got
I love your new iIndustrial mixer for your large pizza Dough and Bread Dough but for you just making a double batch I would invest in one like you had on your counter before it broke 😊 I love you 😍 ❤️ have a awsome day today
I needed the big mixer because I make quad batches.
Will you share your Russian Buttercream Recipe with sweetened condensed milk please?
Here is a video ruclips.net/video/QwOsUBCTjwg/видео.html
@@LittleVillageHomestead Thank you!
Hi.thats.a.big
One.❤👍🙏❤
Mr Wayna is just not himself. I pray everything is going good for him. Just a retired nurse with concern. You can do this Mr and Mrs Wayna!!! Prayers!!!
I thought the same thing. Very quiet, maybe he’s a little tired
Rene said it was 9pm and he was driving all day. He usually takes a nap, maybe he didn’t get one today.
He was exhausted and used to going to bed at 8. He is much better after a good night sleep and thank you so much for your prayers.
Russian butter cream?? Is there a video for that
I’m a diabetic and I eat watermelon it never raises my sugar-- because of the high water content
Hey there my cooking mama
Sucralose is generic name for Splenda.
The Splenda sweetener is pronounced Su' cra lose.
Renea don't you get Splenda for Mr. Wayane I have been taking for the past 25 yrs and I am diabetic
how do you freeze dry the watermelon? I want to try that.
I just cut it up into small chunks and put it in my freeze dryer it does not take long to freeze dry.
do you pre freeze it?
and thank you for responding… I love watching your channel I learn so much.
Wow! What a haul!!! Now to put it all up and then mercy you have to fix something for dinner!!! Oh! My! Where do you get all that energy?? Love your videos. Now John behave yourself!! You know better than to eat the things that elevates your sugar!!! Love the video!
That Queso salsa stuff is really good. (It's pronounced "K-so"... the Q is pronounced like a K.) The sucralose has a bit of an aftertaste for some people, but not all. I've never had the Stevia... ? So are you sure that both are ok for a diabetic diet? My goodness, you could feed a 3rd world country with this multi-store haul... no kidding. Mr. Wayna... please try hummus... it's really tasty... especially the flavored ones. I'm not a big fan of the garlic ones, but there are so many other flavors out there. I recommend roasted red pepper hummus... can't go wrong with that! A lot of your transitioning with your diet change is trying things you said you don't like, but you never tried them to know if you don't like them. It's all in the mindset that you have. You can retrain your mind to learn to enjoy and perhaps even come to love certain things you never thought you would. One thing I've noticed about you while watching these videos is that you are a grazer... you just nibble and pick at stuff... at least while the video is being filmed. You seem to love to just find little bits to eat at random moments. That's kind of funny.
I'm telling on you Mr. Wayna. You are eating grapes and you can only have about eight!! Just a little fun!
I hollered at him too.
Mr. Is off to the shower with a grape to go ! 😂😂😂
Mr. Wayna looks like he has lost weight! Looking Good!
No watermelon! It is pure sugar. Berries are his best fruit.
Do you sell the pizzas?
We take donations only and they keep us in pizza supplies. Lol. It brings the community together. Our place is a gathering place.
Where’s John’s glasses😊
He took them off.
Let him try Hummus with olive oil (cold pressed extra virgin) I know he will love it im Lebanese 🇱🇧, we invented the thing and come to think of it it’s kinda high in Carbs.. may not be a great idea.. check the carb content Renae ❤
All the calories…..
If you had watched the video, you would see that the haul is for supplies for our pizzas we make for others and our market stand we sell all the baked goods in. So all the calories for what?
In my opinion, the Stevia is better for him
Good morning..sue close. That's how you pronounce the imitation sugar..lol
Sucralose terrible…stevia good!
I hate hummus! It doesn't taste like sandpaper but it does feel like fine grain sand in your mouth. I can't stand it no matter what flavor it is. I'd rather eat a plain cracker than eat one with hummus on it. Hummus is NASTY! (I love your giving spirit and how your are always giving to your church, your neighbors, your kids, and everyone in need. You are my kind of people!)
Wow that’s ALOTTA PIZZA!!!!!! 😂
Each day we make pizzas we wind up making 20-30.
How can you and your husband possibly eat all the large food hauls you buy? Maybe you share with people?
We don't eat all this food. It is supplies we use to make pizzas for folks in our community as well as supplies for the baked goods we sell in our market stand. There is only a few grocery items for us.
Too bad a lot of folks can't buy this kind of stuff.
"Sucralose" - Suke-ra-lose
Thank you.
1st. tehe
Pickled Bologna? Never heard of it but anything pickled has a ton of sugar in it, becareful with that!
No watermelon is mostly just sugar water and when you freeze dry it you concentrate the sugars and it’s the worst thing for a diabetic the same with fruit juice it’s the worst thing for a diabetic they are better to eat one piece of fruit. I noticed Mr. Wayna was eating a lot of grapes and likely wasn’t even aware how many he ate. My hubby craves grapes too but he’s learned he just can’t eat them anymore. He’s been focusing on eating meat and there are so few carbs he can eat that he can get his carbs in his veggies. For breakfast he eats eggs and for dinner he focuses on good quality meat without any sauces just good salt and pepper and sides of veggies. He’s completely staying away from all fruit and breads and carbs until he gets his blood sugars back to regular levels. He’s losing a lot of weight and for a snack he will have a piece of cheese.❤️🥰
The pickled bologna is only once in a while for him. He may eat a small piece once or twice a month. I can not seem to keep him out of the grapes. I bought these grapes for a charcuterie board I was to make and he ate every last one of them THAT NIGHT! I was so upset with him because I told him his sugar would hit outer space and to my complete surprise his sugar was 134 the highest.
@@LittleVillageHomestead ya it’s so hard to keep our men from eating stuff they shouldn’t. I finally had to put my foot down and not allow anything in our home that wasn’t good for him. Once I did that he knew I was serious. I know people who have lost their sight and limbs to diabetes and it’s such a scary thing. So I started reading books like the ones Dr. Jason Fung has written. He explains that it’s not our fault that we are getting these food related diseases and that it’s because of the “food” industry which if you think about it is just tobacco companies that have transformed themselves into addictive food companies. It’s become the acceptable thing to add preservatives, chemicals and wayyy too much sugar to the foods. Anyway I’ll get off my soapbox but once hubby decides he really needs to get serious about this and do it for himself and understand that this truly can be reversed but it’s all about what he puts into his mouth. If he focuses on quality protein and veggies (stay away from potatoes, peas and corn) focus on broccoli, cauliflower and green beans. He will also discover his tastebuds will change over time. Also if you’ve never heard of cauliflower rice it’s fantastic and is what we use as a substitute to real rice. Also I’ve begun making my own low carb pasta with oat fibre(not oats blended) and vital wheat gluten(can order it off Amazon) and xanthan gum(order off Amazon) you can make your own pasta that’s very low carb. There is a guy on RUclips that teaches step by step how to do it. He’s awesome and I highly recommend. He goes by the keto king on RUclips.
