This previously unreleased live version of Silver Machine appears on Motörhead’s album The Löst Tapes Vol. 1 (Live in Madrid 1995) and it was recorded at the live show at Sala Aqualung in Madrid on 1st June 1995. The line up on this track was Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee.

Thanks to Calverts Bi-Polar Disorder Lemmy got the chance to sing and made it to a humungus hit. I´m glad that he was to difficult to deal with at that time so they have to take the bus and sneak away without him. Now he could go his own way and put together the worlds Loudest and Greatest Rockband.

This is a fantastic version of the tune. When they stop suddenly towards the end, I kind of expect Calvert to start reading a poem or some feedback from Brocks guitar as the go into another song via perhaps an electronic interlude but this is Mötorhead so no such luck. Spend a good though.

Sure, but certainly not on any Motörhead live album, official or not. Nor would I ever have expected MH to cover any Hawkwind track except "Motorhead" thinking of the, ummh - "tensions" between Lemmy and his former band.
@@VJAX11 Motorhead literally used to open for Hawkwind back in their early days, and vice versa. And Lemmy would even occasionally join them on stage to play his Hawkwind numbers. Hawkwind and Lemmy had played together several times since his departure from the band, most recently at a festival in Finland in 2005. It doesn't seem their parting ways was that acrimonious.
