For a man to tell a woman how he feels is a great thing to do.. I think it makes a man a better man because it shows his true love that he has for her..
JAYY. I grew up in that era and you would've loved it there. I'm happily married but you have so much inner beauty to match your outer beauty. Any man should feel lucky to win your love and be in their life. GOD BLESS!!!
Yeah, early 80's was just special moment in time in terms of culture and personal relationships. Things were just more direct without social media or cable news or information overload. I lived it. I also miss it greatly. The entire 80s made my heart smile. I so....so... miss those times.
@@chriswildhaber35 In the 80's you just had freedom. Freedom to be allowed to experience the music, movies, and tv shows of the time. Without any preconceptions and without some idiot's input from half way around the world. I so.....miss those time in the 80's.
Foreigner Lou gramm had a falsetto he just needs to have sung it more. Voice range was incredible. He holds back too much. Foreigner knows how to really love a lady. They do in some of their songs have suggestive comments. But they knew what real love was. I really hope they are in the rock and roll hall of Fame.
So glad you've checked out Foreigner - Jukebox Hero, I Want To Know What Love Is, Feels Like The First Time, Hot Blooded, Urgent, Cold As Ice, Double Vision...there are so many hits, you're gonna love them! And I agree - the 80's is my personal favorite music decade, I listen to 80's music the most out of any decade there's just something special about it.
The era when music had true emotion and feeling that meant something . The 80's was my era and miss it greatly for music like this that is just timeless.
That song brings back so many memories!!! Just so you know, a real man will tell you how he feels! He won't care what other people think. And, this music is timeless. You don't have to grow up with it to appreciate it and live the inspiration. ❤️
This has to be one of the greatest power ballads of all time! Bass line, drum rolls, heartfelt, simple and connected lyrics, EPIC SYNTHESIZER work and of course, the LEGENDARY DELIVERY VEHICLE OF LOU GRAMM's vocals!
I haven't heard this beautiful song in awhile..I still have the original album from back in 1981 "Foreigner 4" and man does it rock..Lou Gramm is one talented singer..
Mick Jones had the tracks recorded and wanted Lou Gramm to listen and come up with the lyrics, Lou had a tape of Mick on Keyboards, he took a short line and spliced it between the Verse lines plus Thomas Dolby was brought in to multi-layer Keyboards for the intro and between verses. Lou went in the booth and sang the lyrics with nothing written down, that's how talented Lou is and that's Rare. Mick said "It brought tears to his eyes when Lou first laid down the Vocal tracks," because of how the song came alive and fit together so well.
Oh baby girl, back in the day relationships still had to be worked on, however, it was because of songs like this one that glued the relationships together. By the Grace of God hopefully forever. This was mine and my husbands song from the 80's. And we were together for 35 yrs, before he passed with small cell lung cancer at the very young age of 53. It's been almost 9 yrs now without him. That old saying is so very true, "It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all". Bhip from East Tennessee.
Foreigner has an entire catalog songs and hits, dating all the way back to 1977. This song here, " I've Been Waiting." Is my absolute favorite of theirs. I put this song right up there in the same bracket as the, Don Henley and Stevie Nick's Duet, " Leather And Lace." That special song you like playing for that one special someone you have in your life.
Tho this song is one of Foreigner's classic ballads , this isn't their normal forte . Now react to : Feels like the First Time + Urgent + Double Vision + Cold as Ice + Head Games + I Wanna Know What Love Is ( another soft ballad ) .
One of the best love ballads from the 80's and that's saying something, there are a lot of great ones from that time period. The 70's and 80's were really the golden age of rock music.
Thanks gorgeous! Really enjoyed chatting with you on your live stream! Foreigner with Lou Gramm at the mic is near perfection. You deserve to be loved the way this song makes you feel! It'll happen when you least expect it. You won't even be looking. It'll come out of nowhere. You'll be looking left and it will come from the right... Wishing you the love you deserve!
Foreigner and Lou Graham were great! Yes, you are right Jayy you should have been born in our time the 70’s and 80’s, you fit right in! Love you and your reactions! ❤️
My wife’s and I ‘s favorite love song , I was lonely for some years , until my beautiful wife came into my life , were now married for 30 years and I love her !!
Oh my God bright eyes, you just melted my heart!! What a memory!!! It was 1981 and this song was released on the Footloose the movie album Lou gram and Mick Jones wrote it.. I can't tell you how many nights of passion started listening and dancing to this song!! Thanks a lot Jayy, as always I love what you do and look forward to the next one keep up the good work 😍😍🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😘
Just a phenomenal rock band. They had an amazing string of hits, including some absolutely classic rock songs and some legendary ballads, like this one. I took my son to his first ever live concert to see Foreigner in (I think it was 1980) in Dallas (I believe it was at Reunion Arena where the Mavericks used to play). We sat in the nosebleed section BEHIND the stage (hey, the tickets were free, so I wasn't complaining), so we were actually pretty close, considering how far up we were. They burst on the scene with "Feels Like the First Time" in '77 and followed it up with "Cold As Ice." One of my favorites came in '78 with "Hot Blooded." But my two favorite rock songs by Foreigner were "Urgent" and "Juke Box Hero." Their other fantastic power ballad was "I Want to Know What Love Is."
Another superb British/ American rock band ( formed in New York with British musicians) Awesome back catalogue of tracks ... Cold as ice 🧊 And urgent are seriously good numbers 😉🇬🇧🎸
When I was in college, I stayed in my college town one summer to work. One of my coworkers & I went to a club in Morgantown, WV on a Saturday night(The Purple Cow) a saw this tall(6'5") dark-haired man request this song from the band & he walked up to me and asked me to dance. It was the most romantic moment of my life to that point.
I was fortunate enough to see these guys on their Juke Box Hero tour, in Germany, in '82, I've been a fan since the very beginning, Lou's vocal's are SERIOUSLY under rated...Rock On
Foreigner was/is a great band. They had a ton of hits. You might want to try one of their bangers, like "Urgent" or "Cold as Ice". Everything about this band is great, and the lead singer, Lou Gramm, just had the most amazing voice, with all the power and range you can get.
Thank you, special lady, for your wonderful and sincere reaction to this video. You showed me that there are still some women out there that care about hearing a man's feelings for you and to show his love to you. I grew up during that time period in the 80's and I'm that guy your talking about who likes to express his love to his woman, but I've learned it has to be the right woman to be receptive to want to hear loving words of endearment and sincerity of heart. Being romantic, I mean. It's rare now as you said. A man seems weak if he shows any emotion or heart. As the rock group Heart says in their song"What about love?" God bless you!
I truly hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you find your special someone who isn't afraid to really show their love for you..I've been withh my special someone for 42 years..he raised my 2 children from a previous marriage which was a really bad marriage...my soul mate came along and we have been together since 1978 and married in march 1982 .. I hope you find yours..❤❤❤
Such a great song. His voice is amazing! I love your reaction. You always brighten my day. I agree that the love songs of my youth (60’s & 70’s) were very touching. 🌺✌️
Hauntingly beautiful song! It was No. 2 on the U.S. pop singles chart for 10 weeks but never quite reached No. 1. You might also like Foreigner's No. 1 ballad "I Want to Know What Love Is," the dance bop "Urgent" (No. 4 ... about late-night booty calls, with a killer sax solo! :-) ), and the rockers "Hot Blooded" (No. 3) and "Juke Box Hero."
Always liked this. It was about one year before MTV. Before the true 80s started. There was no video, and this looked like a live performance a few years later that they synced with the audio later.
One of my all time favorites!! Lou Gramms voice is so soulful!! Do another from these guys, they have a big catalog of great music!! Urgent, Hot Blooded, and Cold As Ice just to name a few💙🎶💙
Such beautiful instrumental at the beginning (and throughout) and the lead singer is just amazing -- great power and range. Foreigner was one of my favorite bands back in the day. LOVE your reaction ... who wouldn't want to tell him that he didn't have to wait any longer!! So glad this song brightened your day. It is kind of sad, though, that you don't hear much of this type of romantic stuff in today's music. I was so lucky to grow up with this kind of music.
That video has the studio version of the song as audio. But Lou’s actual live vocals on that vid are equally as incredible….so difficult to pull off live. But Lou did it over the years.
Lou Gram hands down.. I was born 1970 and grew up listening to Foreinger.. I have many favorites ..Waiting for a girl like you is my favorite..love the melody love the lyrics and your right back then guys were upfront more fw....

We gonna bust up to 85k soon watch!
Period Todd speaking facts
Lou Gramm is one of the most criminally-underrated singers of all time.
One of the top two singing voices ever.
I love his I want to know what love is song.
Yes I totally agree with you he's overlooked it's unfortunate 🤔
Great singer. Love all their music.
If I was to rate, it would be too close to call between Freddy and Steve Perry...with Lou in a close third, most definitely.
For a man to tell a woman how he feels is a great thing to do.. I think it makes a man a better man because it shows his true love that he has for her..
It's called "simping" today, for the most part. And is frowned upon. This is mostly due to third wave feminism.
❤

Me to my junior and highschool years the best. Nothing comes close to that generation or music either in my opinion.

Amazing song 🙂

One of the greatest ballads, ever.
What a SINGER. Absolutely one of a kind voice.

Urgent, Head Games, Hot Blooded, Cold As Ice, etc. They're good
OMG, how much I loved this song back when I was in school in 81…
The 80s were full of songs where people protested their love, yeah. And they could all sing like fire.
The era when music had true emotion and feeling that meant something . The 80's was my era and miss it greatly for music like this that is just timeless.
My FAVORITE Foreigner song!
That song brings back so many memories!!!

JUKEBOX HERO is my fav Foreigner song
Totally!!
When you get chills it means that the song has hit your soul on a cellular level
Thank you for keeping our music alive.

Class of 1985. Great music and times!!!

I was in middle school when this song came out. I had the album on cassette tape.
This was my first loves song to me. It makes me sad but I also have fond memories of this time.
One of the best 80s bands, saw them live several times, had all their albums.
When a man can go balls out brave and filled with courage secure in what he says. That’s a man! Love the 80s 💪❤️
I'VE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME TOO FOR A CHANNEL LIKE JAYY. Your brother's song is good. Wish more people would check out Tell Her.
also Foreigner "I Want To Know What Love Is" the official Video is one hell of a performance.
Everything by foreigher 4 and all their other's. Great.
Lou Gram hands down.. I was born 1970 and grew up listening to Foreinger..
I have many favorites ..Waiting for a girl like you is my favorite..love the melody love the lyrics and your right back then guys were upfront more fw....
See songs and music like this reaffirms my favorite decade of music, the 80’s. It brings back so many memories of my young adulthood.
I forgot about this song, man it brings back memories.
you deserve a man like that jayy you need to be treated like the queen you are thank you for being you jayy
I love that song reminds me when I was a kid I grew up in the 80s
Oh my, you really need to hear 'I want to Know What Love Is', by Foreigner. ~ Mrs H
One of my all time favorites 💕💕💕💕
Fantastic point. You’re so right, we were bombarded with love songs in the 70s and 80s. ❤️
And a beautiful synth part played by a soon to be well known artist, Thomas Dolby.
Ooooh I was in this era the music back then was so special 👌
Expressing how we felt about a girl was so much easier when we had songs like this to help express ourselves.
Good music......period.
Great reaction!
Big hit when I was 5 & then I relived it playing Vice City-cruising around with this on the car radio at night. Like floating on a velvet cloud.
Lou Gramm’s voice and Mick Jones songwriting. Perfect recipe that is Foreigner.
Your wonderful woman ❤️
Fun fact - The lead singer is my mother's cousin. When I see these old videos of him it's so creepy how much he looks like one of my uncles who is also his cousin obvi. His real last name is Grammatico. For some reason when my family came to the US from Italy, half the family went with Grammatico for the spelling and half with Grammatica.
Cold as ice is awesome by foreigner
I’ve been waiting for you Jayy! 😘
LOL " oooh somebody come sing to me come on " nice one made me laugh . Keep crushing your competition with genuine reactions not like alot of other phony head boppers with forced smiles acting like they like songa they don't because they know fans of the bands are watching . Keep it real !
Sweetest reaction ❤
Love Lou Gramm and Foreigner. They are so underrated.
This was a popular slow dance song back in the day. Great reaction! Lou Gramm has a solo song Midnight Blue. 💙
