      Unfortunately the lads put out really great adventure / travel / sailing / travelog videos … in a great personalised way that almost anybody could get in to. They aren’t whining about some daily near death / boat loss experience, or repairing something they broke with their head in their hands … with added bikinis.
      Luke I know what you’re thinking …. NO … we don’t want to see you in a bikini, even for clicks …

    Another classic for The Sailing Brothers Gourmet CookBook......Cheese sandwhich.....🤣
    Ingredients: baguette, any old cheese, any old tomatoes.
    Not required: Butter or any spread, mayo, salad cream or any dressing, salt, pepper or any seasoning
    Great that you practised heave to, well done. Love the vids.

      Chicken or ground meat/carrots, peas, green beans (you get the idea) and a potato. 1 tablespoon of butter. Wrapped in aluminum (not alu minium ...lol) foil. Dig a 12" deep pit, place a rock or a layer of rocks along the bottom. Make a fire on top, and an hour later when the fire is small but hot and full of coals, place your "foil babies" around the edge of the coals and cook for an hour. Great camping meal.

  • @simonhardy503
    @simonhardy503 Месяц назад

    That is not heave too. You need jib and main because one oposes the other. The easiest way to heave to is to simply tack but don't easy the sheets so the jib backs. Then put tiller fully over the opposite wsy. At this point, you can adjust the mainsheet until the boat settles almost with no forward motion and no heal.

    • @TheSailingBrothers
      @TheSailingBrothers  Месяц назад

      Our boat will heave to on the main sail alone. It's a tried and tested method. Some boats need to use the backed jib while others will heave to on just a main alone

    • @simonhardy503
      @simonhardy503 Месяц назад

      @@TheSailingBrothersThanks for your reply. Technically yes but it’s not classic Heave Too, you are using the windage on the furled head sail to prevent a tack. However we noticed that you were slowed to 0.8 of a knot but still healed over and moving around quite a bit. I was more concerned that for most boats Heave Too without a Jib/Genoa backed isn’t possible so in effect you were teaching incorrectly. Try with the reefed jib in plus 25kts I think you will be surprised just how comfy the boat 😅 settles , we stand up straight can brew up and have a meal. Keep flying the flag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    Just found you. You two are living my dream, but I don't have a brother who sails. You are much better to watch than this stupid presidential election nonsense.

    I bit into a peach one time while driving and ended up with an Ear Wig half in my mouth and 2-3 more in my lap. The peach seed was hollowed out and full of Ear Wigs. I couldn’t eat peaches for years after that.

    Now that we're are in October, it's getting, darker, wetter & colder, grim in other words. I'm sure you remember.
    So your videos are bit of a tonic, with beautiful tropical vistas, dinner on the beach, sparkling ocean water, fish dinner ect, sun sets, friendly natives. I don't suppose butter is on the menu, no heerds of fresian cattle where you are. Fresh milk must be tricky, powdered? Must have for tea.
    Thanks keep them coming, it's much appreciated, please don't come back it'll kill you. We got absolute idiots running the country as well as idiots running the Welsh assembly. It truly gets you down.
    On a personal note, don't you two ever get on each other's nerves?
    I think it would be inevitable sometimes, but I was thinking
    if you pitch up at some island or make landfall, did you ever consider hitting the beach, town or whatever & one of you go one way & one go the other?
    It would give you a break & you'd have something to talk about, cover more places & improve your chances of finding the Balineese dancing girls! Lol, just a thought.

We mainly by long life milk although we do have powdered milk which is just as nice. Where hats more often and find some ladies 😄✌️😁
