Thank you for the video. Collimation light is not visible enough, but he is an excellent teacher.

For us old timers, Lordotic is for Rt. middle lobe collapse, not for apices. Done in PA leaned back.
    Ref: Clarke's 12 edition. Pg. 212, 213
And I can't relate with the new term Apicolordotic being used a lot in RUclips

Why have you deliberately irradiated the thyroid? Is that negligence or blatant disregard for the consequences of bad radiography? Collimation was not part of the agenda in the 1920s when radiography was standardized, but now we have Light beam diaphragms and we should use them. Remember that tube angulation (by pressing the tube angulation button) does not change the geometry. It only changes the centering point.

i realize collimation was a small amount above IR border but bad mouthing someone you don't even know to make yourself seem superior is childish and arrogant. These videos were made to demonstrate positioning to go along with in class discussion that covered importance of radiation safety. While i realize others have opportunity to watch them because of this platform, they were not made to show all safety needs to be taken. If you are the expert you pretend to be then i look forward to watching your videos showing us all the correct way to do this.

@@jeffreyjobe1984 I have looked at all the English videos on radiography. Your technique is standard. It will not produce true quality because you are trapped within a centering point system. To needlessly irradiate the thyroid on a tutorial is to set an example that should not be set. You also teach that the Townes skull view should needlessly irradiate the face. That is the system worked out in the 1920s and that is the system in the books and that is the system that has needlessly irradiated 30 million faces. Should we continue with dangerous traditions, or should we actually do the job properly?

@@thevoiceharmonic i am still waiting for your videos to demonstrate the proper way to position and collimate before i change my own.

@@jeffreyjobe1984 I am trying to get my new computer to allow me to do video editing. I will make 4 videos, 3 on spinal work and one as a collection of what perfect images look like. Look at this video I made 11 years ago and see if you pass the test. If you pass, you will see that entering points mean very little and tube angulation is a way to improve collimation. If you did a Towns skull projection, would you follow the text book instructions and irradiate the face, or would you limit the projection to above the brow line?
Radiographers assume they know what they are doing because the tradition is a century old, but 75% of qualifieds will fail this test, 95% fo students and 5% of radiologists. I presented papers at 2 national conferences on the subject.
