The way he appreciates Film Companion is so heartwarming to see otherwise we always see actors dissing and dismissing critics even if the critics appreciated the actor but just said something negative about their movie. The wholesomeness that Vijay has is what we need in this vicious world where some actors are spitting venom and building their Hate Spreading Army of Naive fans. Keep it up Devarkonda ❤

Yeah... This straight forwardness has almost in every telanganite people. They don't know to act or spit something which is not from mind and heart. And we all do same like that. Sometimes we feel we are losers until our straightforward nature noticed or something like that which makes us feel depreciate because of our honesty nature. What he said is very true. People are paid to bash a film on social media. In the case of Dear Comrade this happened . 'Dear Comrade' is the only Telugu film to get a place in Oscar's entry list in 2019. Also before the film released Dharma announced its remake. Also the dubbed version got 161 million views and 2 million likes. The film was also appreciated by famous critics(like said in this interview), only many local websites which were paid gave low ratings. It also has a good Imdb rating. Even after all this, the film was flopped. Before dear comrade Vijay had many hits like Pelli choopulu, Arjun reddy, Geeta govindam, Taxiwaala and mahanati(Even though he was not the lead). So what i think that people who were insecure about his sudden stardom and success targeted him, because Dear comrade was his Biggest release and also the most ambitious one( it was released in 4 languages and with lot of promotions and music festivals).
In the world where cinema revolves around illogical fights, cheap and vulgar comedy, over glorification of the hero( Showing the hero as mr perfect) or to glorify the hero all the side characters and heroine and also the villain are shown in the most idiotic way. All of Vijay's movies have very real characters and are very logical as well, many of the situations shown in his movies are very relatable too, and talking about his acting , he is one of the only actors who knows how to act. In any of his films you will never see an item dance, or cars and people flying in the air. Also all his movies have strong characters for the heroine as well.

Very pathetic logic! Can't say for sure if any negative propaganda was there for Dear Comrade or not, but that movie was before WFL.... And before that film 🎥 he had two films without any adult scenes.... Taxiwala, a supernatural thriller and Geeta Govindam, a family entertainer and Rom-Com.... If audience have issues with adult scenes, Arjun Reddy would have been utter flop, and these two movies as a ripple effect would also have flopped....
So this whole argument that people hate him due to his bold and lovemaking scenes is immature and childish.... Actors should act according to role, and not to only please some narrow-minded folks....
But Dear Comrade definitely bshoukfnt have flopped, it was a good film, maybe some people targeted that movie!

Haven't seen many interviews of vijay deverakonda but this one is enough to make me a fan.Such honesty about everything.nIt was so sweet and real of him to say how much he likes to talk to BR and Anumpama.Truly agree,film companion's reviews are very objective and you know you are watching quality content,some channels with people who haven't done atleast a proper course on film criticism shouldn't be allowed to influence a whole audience. Eg, Netflix's behensplaining etc,with amateur reviews. No hate for them tho.
