Do you have #SketchUp Pro? If you're like me, you probably use the default scrapbook libraries on a regular basis. You've also probably experienced how frustrating it can sometimes be to edit scrapbook elements once they're placed in your document. Page numbers that are nested into way too many groups, endless clicks to back out of groups, having to zoom in to edit the correct text box... In my latest video, I show you how to fix all of these things, and I also share a couple more tips on working with scrapbooks. Check out my 5 tips for using scrapbooks in LayOut. ruclips.net/video/gidHS39T9bg/видео.html
What is the best way to draft 2D? I have a client only wanting a 2D house plan. I don't want to waste time modeling it in full before I can use cut plain and send it to layout. Any suggestions or video links.
Scott, I know some people who like to draw in SketchUp in 2D. They set the Camera to Parallel projection, and orient to Top view. You could do that, then create scenes for each plan and elevation, and bring it into LayOut. But most people find it is osmetimes faster to just draw it in 3D. If you're really stuck on 2D you might want to check out a free CAD program called Draftsight.
Excellent set of tips. Regarding the nature of detail titles, I have not been able to figure out how to scale them to my drawing. Is there a tutorial covering this?
With the elevation markers I can't get them to sit on top of my plan. I have tried to arrange and bring it to the front, sending the plan to the back and nothing is working. Any insight here would be helpful.
How did you create the fuzzy edges around the SketchUp model viewport? Is that a special Clipping Mask? Or is this just an inserted picture from Photoshop with some edge filter for instance? (Not sure how you solve the lack of model snapping and actual scaling for the latter option)
It's been a while since I did this tutorial, but I think you're talking about a special style I used in SketchUp that uses watermarks. One image shows a texture behind the model, the other watermark is a white border that is kind of sketchy that scales with the viewport. You can find this style in the default styles menu, under Style competition winners or something like that.
Yeah, those are leader lines created with the label tool. There are a few different ways to create leaders lines, but basically if you click and drag, you'll notice they will curve as you create them
Hey¡ Is there any tutorial where you happen to explain step by step how to add new albums to scrapbook from scratch? What I mean is for example, what if I download a bunch of symbols from autocad and import them into my sketchup model and want to use them as part of my scrapbook gallery, how do I that? Thank you in advance for your help¡
Zigurat Tutoriales They should be in the dropdown menu in the scrapbooks panel. Do you have any of the default scrapbooks in there? What version of SketchUp did you install, and is it the English version?
Zigurat Tutoriales As I suspected. I've had another person tell me they were missing the scrapbooks and it turns out they had a different language version too. I don't know why they are missing, you could download the english version and grab the scrapbooks from that perhaps.
son de paga, yo tengo unos cuantos , t los puedo pasar , anteriormente había una pagina árabe donde estaban todos estos álbumes , pero lamentablemente cayo ...
not bad, but you are talking to much. you made video, and we can see it again and again. explaining must be short and clear. thankyou, and make your video shorter
Thanks Matt, very clear and easy to understand and really useful

Thanks for tip, really helpful. Btw where did you get those curvy arrows shown at 14:22 on your main workspace? Thx in advance for reply!
Looks like I solve the issue. These are just simple labels converted into “curved”. Right?
