The Shannon Boat Company has a reputation for setting the international standard for quality yacht construction since 1975. Shannons were built on a semi-custom basis and the 43 ketch is the ultimate boat for two-person sailing and as a liveaboard. Perfect for weekend sailing or for long distance passage making, the two private staterooms and dual head arrangements provide luxurious accommodations for owners and guests, while the underwater design sports a modified full keel and centerboard for optimal performance. Offering a traditional look above the waterline, the Shannon 43 exemplifies modern design and construction techniques. She is fast on all points of sail, seaworthy, and comfortable.
Shamrock, a 1984 Shannon 43 ketch, hull #3, is an excellent example of this quality yacht. Although Shamrock's build was started in 1984, she was not completed and splashed until 1985. The current owners purchased her in 2014 and returned her to the Shannon Boat Company in Bristol, Rhode Island in 2016 for a major overhaul.
