Race was never a significant part of the story. Arguably looking at Matilda's background/deprivation you could argue for a particular. But nah I love the diversity
I only just saw the video today of this talented girl on The Voice Global. Nice to see how she's coming along - I already suspected musical theatre would suit her really well. I note that she may still need coaching on breathing techniques, as she takes fast and audible breaths in the pauses - both in 2020 and now. I wonder that she never got advice about that during the Voice? I'm not a professional, but it was apparent right away. Other than that, Victoria has got a bright future ahead doing what she loves!

She is really cute but I think the actual Matilda which is Alisha weir my opinion she is kind of cuter😊 Edit: had this Matilda now I think this girl is cuter!
She’s okay. She sounds good, but lacks facial expressions, and the facial expressions she does do look as if she was told to by the director, but it’s not convincing. Furthermore, very robotic & looks bored. Gets better towards the end, but I like how the other girls (like 2012 Oliver awards performance, Oona Laurence’s performance on the view, Lollie McKenzie & Emily-May Stephenson & Lily-Mae Evans at West End Live), really feel the character & music, and put their own spin on the song.
@@mrbookish6701 It’s absolutely not. I saw the production in Korea, entirely in Korean (and I don’t speak Korean) and Choi Eun Young (Matilda) was an INCREDIBLE actress! Despite not knowing the language, I followed everything. Additionally, when I saw the US tour production, Gabby Gutierrez was Matilda, and again, she was incredible. Additionally, though I haven’t seen these girls live, Zaris-Angel Hator, Éva-Marie Saffery, Hannah Selk, and Alyssa D’Souza, and all of the Korean/Japanese Matilda’s do not have the same directional problem as Victoria. Willow McCarthy, who I have seen live twice, most closely resembles her with the over-directional, bored portrayal. As well as what I have seen from Lily Brooks O’Briant, and Lizzie Wells to name a few.
@@mrbookish6701I just saw her live this week. She was good, although I have high standards. She did MUCH better than this performance- she seemed much more comfortable.
There’s no need to say something like that, ur mean, are you seriously going to insult this wonderful young girl like that?! Keep your opinions to yourself if they aren’t nice
Just saw her two days ago. She was marvellous, she makes a great portrayal of Matilda

Might be a systemic racism thing. Can you tell when she's emoting?

@katherines9323 I suppose you can’t please anyone. If you hate a person whatever she does or do you still gonna hate it.!right?@katherine

I actually saw this show yesterday for my birthday we had a little girl called Maisie as Matilda and she was 1000 x better than her

She’s not well in the head Mel. Have a look at her videos. Victoria is very talented girl. I’m blown away with her performance👏
@@goodheart9478 she most certainly is very talented! I really enjoyed watching her on the voice kids and she also makes a great Matilda!
She’s a fake Matilda
she’s not a fake Matilda, she’s on the west end. Professional theatre. If you have nothing nice to comment simply don’t comment.
