I assumed they meant it wasn't mentioned when the story was originally told, because the video said it was from his perspective, and that's true. It was revealed when he was going to die, to complete the story with the other perspective.

Gyomei is a legend, I for one am only 19, and about to have twin sisters. If anyone approached me and my family like this, I don’t think they would live to see 65 years of age. The little kid never said he did it. They all called him Sensei. She was referring to the demon when she called the demon “him”. She was traumatised, that’s why she couldn’t tell a straight sentence.

Actually the children had run away to get some things in the temple that could help to fight the demon and defend Gyomei from what I remember, while the little girl who survived when she said "He killed everyone, that man it's a monster " she was referring to the demon, not Gyomei, but the body of the demon had already turned to ash and the only things left were the bodies of the children, so without the demon's body presence they assumed that Gyomei had killed the children. The little girl survived and is very guilty for what happened and that Gyomei was arrested because of her.
I hope in the end when they all reunite in heaven they all clear up the misunderstanding it's maybe too late but closure is closure 😭

Nah it wasn't "Him" she meant "Him" as in the Demon. She lived years later Forever Feeling Guilt, Regret, and Wanting to Apologize, which she will never will get the chance, since Gyomie is about to "Leave"
The boy who dealed with the demon to not to eat him but others was actually zenitsu's future training brother who later turned into upper moon six since the position was empty and due to that zenitsu's master commited seppuku (cut off his own head) and that's why zenitsu became badass in the recent episodes
I also think he and the cops all misunderstood the girl. She said "he is a monster, he killed them all", but I think she was talking about the demon, obviously, not gyomei. Everyone just misunderstood her. Obviously, she's not going to be thinking straight after something traumatic like that happening, especially when she's so little.
That was all mentioned in the manga btw, only one who was not defending him and sold him out was the child behind him (which he thought was the only one who didn’t betray him) but it was other way around in reality
I recall reading this in the manga, after he goes to the afterlife the kids meet with him and explain they were all trying to get weapons or find something to help fight the demon

Just to be clear as well. The little girl wasn’t trying to blame Gyomei, yes she was scared and didn’t quite understand what happened, but by no means was she talking about Gyomei, she was talking about the demon. I whole heartedly believe she was talking about the demon and not Gyomei.

Event the 4-year-old girl didn't mean to accuse him. She kept saying the monster had killed them all but since the body of the demon disappeared they assumed she meant Gyomei.
