Bathory were a Swedish extreme metal band formed in Vällingby in March 1983. Named after Hungarian countess Elizabeth Báthory, they are considered pioneers of black metal and Viking metal, and one of the most influential acts in heavy metal as a whole.

YES!!! so glad you're doing some more Bathory! Fun fact: this song was actually re written with more viking-themed lyrics and appeared as "bond of blood" on the album "twilight of the gods"; this original version is only available on the compilation "Jubileum vol. 3"
Also to answer your question, Bathory started out as a full band albeit with a rotating line -up. But around the early 90s (not sure which album exactly) it became a solo project with Quorthon doing everything, though he still used the names "kothaar" and "vvornth" to make it appear like a full band.
1987 to 1992 its the same drummer
1988-1992 its almost the same line up.
Bathory Kicks Ass, when I heard Call From The Grave it changed my life, it's about a vampire who gets buried away you even hear it at the beginning that's not aloud to die and begs for death, I feel that way sometimes while still living.

Mustaine was into Black Magic when he was a teenager, he said that the "weirdest" thing that happened to him is that he put a curse into a bully and the guy broke an arm, but since then he didn't like that. Also, when he became a Born Again Christian he refused to play that song because of the occult and satanic themes, he performed it again when he had the "Peace Sells" Tour when they played the album enterely.

😈 I think the phrase is also in the fine print during the end credits of Divorce Court. Den and I didn't get caught up in vows or pageantry...we just went to the JOP at the county Court House to make it legal (coming up on 26 years ago)...cheapest wedding of all time!!🤘😻

You got me on that one!! I think I got derailed by waiting for the goat to become animated in some way...but yeah, the font is BAAAAAAD! 😹🐐 As a career administrative professional, I find the Old English typeface just....YUCK.

After spending a few days with a Christian friend and listening to God awful christian music I had to go home and cleanse my pallet with some bathory , behemoth and deicide.
Bathory changed the seen everyone in Norway and Sweden were influenced by Quorthon it started the whole high vocals over there. Dead from Mayhem was influenced by him. He never called his music black metal but he is founder of black metal.Sarcofago set the tone for dress and the raw style early on for black metal

I liked the satanic Bathory records but Quorthon lost me when he went all viking metal.
I thought the title read: I NOMINATE SANTANA... For what? A Grammy?? Dude, don't be doin' that crazy sh** with your eyes - don't you know they could get stuck that way forever?!? At least that is what my grandmother, and even my great-grandmother, would say. I wanted the goat's eyes to be blinking or flashing or SOMETHING. Even though this genre is so not my thing, I did appreciate the subtitles - typos and all (FORFILL?? Did they mean FULFILL??)....I otherwise could not understand a word. Sign in what? 👿💀🩸
