Hey Steve, the more I listen, the more respect, admiration, and love, I have for you, for all you have done, and especially, are doing for us DeadHeads, listening and watching and learning. I am truly Grateful for such synchronicity, and now knowing that the Grateful Dead, as I know them, would never have existed without you. Thanks a million. Love you, bro.

Hey Big Steve. I know you've probably been pretty busy but I would love to check out more of these episodes if you're down for more storytelling. It's a great pleasure to hear from you and your experiences. Would benefit many. Hope you are doing well. -Perry
The photo of the boys at Haight and Ashbury is my favorite of all time. The contrast between the five of them was indicative of the various talents of the band.
Thank you so much for these Steve! I'm a 24 year old GD historian and I cant wait for the next one! It would be so interesting to see an episode based around some of the best/worst drug or psychedelic related experiences the band and crew experienced while on the road. I bet that would go viral!
Can't be a real true historian of GD unless you were there and witnessed Jerry Garcia in person on LSD.There are millions of us still alive and kicking and you can annoint yourself some kind of historian but thats only what you read or thru interviews. Not the same. You are too young to claim knowledge if you didn't see firsthand. John Mayer does not count for shit. Keep deep in dead bootlegs and you can only dream what it was like before selling out
There was a famous story about Teddy Roosevelt who is meeting with some advisors about some weighty matter or decision they had to discuss and he took them all outside for a walk at night. Stopped and looked up at all the stars in the sky and then he said okay. Now that we understand where we stand in life, let's go back inside and make a decision
Did Herb take that '83 Greek photo of the band from the taping section with the killer tie dye and Bobby's arm in the air and mics in the forefront?? It's my all time favorite shot of the band ever. Could never figure out who took that epic pic. Just curious.

How did the bullfrog really pass?
I'm sure that they licked it to death😅
Wait isn’t there stories about trying to take care of the frog? Bathtubs in hotels etc? Or maybe that was a lizard?
Chonga Bonga! We'll talk about him during tomorrow's episode at 4:20 PT.
