One of the best interpretations I've heard; if not the best. I find that everything is there: pp, mp, mf, ff, phrasing, breathing, lightness, delicacy and sensuality of touch; in short, we are moved to listen to it and we do not get tired of it.

'10pianists incomparison' has compiled recordings of this piece by exceptional pianists, including Horowitz and Rachmaninov. All emphasize different aspects of the 'Ständchen' and all are beautiful. I find it impressive that pianists such as Katharina Treutler are still able to contribute new ways of 'looking' at a piece that has been played already by so many exceptional talents. An amazing aspect of music - but also of the great and obvious talent of Mrs Treutler. A great and very valuable addition!
