I actually stayed in F2P until I had finished all the content available to non members. I had finished all the quests and had full rune. Then bought a membership because i wanted to shoot myself after doing all of that.
I’ve had membership and that’s how I started the account I’m playing now. With the obvious exception of smithing because *are we human, or are we dancer?*
Quadhype Ok? Was responding to the statement at hand, and in regards to the money he made, he got very little compared to what is possible with some practice.
Your options: Grind for 5-10 hours non-stop to buy a bond, earning 2 weeks of membership. Get a job, work 1-2 hours at minimum wage and purchase a month of membership.
Good effort in understanding and explaining the ftp struggle. I liked the meathodes that I never I knew about. I used to craft gold amulets and smelt silver ore into unholy symbols for profit. It was 100-300k/h if you put them in bulk and sold them 10-15% -1 higher in the ge overnight. I used to buy silver ore for 1gp and sell the symbols in the Al karid general store for 20gp each. Then people caught on when there was 60k amulets trying to sell off for a couple weeks :P I also bought jugs of water and grapes for 6gp. Other crafting and enchanting were profitable, but would sell slow and take a lot of capital. You are right that it is better to buy ftp membership with irl money to save you the most time and grind.
When im F2p and need a bond, I just become friends with rich guys standing in GE and ask for money. Takes max 2 days, all depends on how you approach them.
When people ask me for money I legit trade them a bronze pick or bronze axe. I have a stack of 100 of each in my bank. I remember earning my first bond on yews.. That sucked, but I'm not going to give away to some lazy person either.
best f2p gp/h is just to hangout in g.e. I used to play rs for like 1-2 months, main acc afk at brutal black dragons and lvl3 acc on ge. Just go to all drop partys and so on. I never did beg for gp. best day i made over 30mill(+20m from a single "drop party"), most days i did get 3-10mil but i did play like 6 to 16 hours a day but it is semi afk, I did just watch some yt or movies all the time. I made more money a week average on my lvl3 f2p then on my +80range afk brutals.....
I sell my ass when i want membership. 10-20 minutes (depending on the customer) on my hands and knees with my eyes closed crying for 30 days membership. Great success.
Note: I'm mentioning this solely for educational purposes and I feel that Jagex is punished too harshly for something out of their control. One thing I'll say about F2P bots. It isn't jagex's fault and there isn't really anything they can do about it. The majority of these accounts are dead bots, meaning they'll run non stop until they're banned without logging. 99% of these bots WILL be picked up by jagex's system and be banned within 24 hours, but by that point the cash will have already been transferred to their mules. The average gp p/hr in F2P is around 70k p/hr. People who run these gold farms will run say 20 bots on 1 VPS and transfer all gold over to a mule, so say the farmer bots an account for 20 hours before transferring of that cash. That's potentially 1.4m per bot, per day. One VPS earning 28m from 20 accounts per day. At this point, a gold farmer could host multiple VPS and be making 100's of mills each and every day making anywhere from $100-5000 per month with a good setup that can be maintained by one user. So you are aware, there are bots available with auto account creation and full automatic muling using clan chats by command from a separate account. So this whole system to some extent can be automated. Often farmers will have programmers create custom scripts for them. In addition there is a huge market for proxies available online. The war against Dead botting will never be won and it can never be stopped. It takes time for enough data to be collected to confirm that an account is a bot and not a human.. bots are much smarter now and use mirroring so the clients are undetectable.
I actually enjoyed the video a lot!! You make the best runescape videos, don't waste your time listening to the haters saying that it was fake... Waiting for the next videos :D
This shit is why I can't enjoy Runescape. Almost 2 hours of just grabbing nature runes...I have seen several money making methods. No matter what you're doing. PVMing or skilling, whatever, the best money making methods average out to around 1 mil to 1.5 mil an hour. Pvming can take hours to get a good drop worth several mil, and is expensive because of food and potions, so they end up averaging at 1 to 1.5 mil per hour. The vast amount of items in the game that are worth like 100m to 1bil. Just not enough time and willpower for it to be worth it. The only way to get really rich is to stake or pk. But the risks are very high.
well pvming isn't so much done to make money as it is to have fun. if you find that the boss that you're grinding feels like a chore more than it is fun, i'd just say do a different one. if you're not at the stage where you can do different ones, then the fun is supposed to come from watching your character progress. i know it's not productive or welcoming to essentially say "get better stats" but it's ok to lose interest. after all runescape is an acquired taste, and if this isn't your kind of game then it's perfectly fine to go for a different game.
There's actually a feature on RS mobile you can do. Basically, they offer a week of membership for a free trial, so I just registered my PC account on mobile, got the free trial, and turned auto-renew off. Then, I just made like 5m in 3 days, unlike my old F2P money making methods, where I made 1m in 3 freaking weeks.
@Sirpugger I ACTUALLY grinded (..ground..?) out my first Bond in F2P and I'm 1 week away from having to grind out my second bond :P haven't paid a dime for Runescape! Yaaay, although, yes It was very painful lol. I kinda alternated these things mainly: made probably 2k sapphire rings overall, cooked over 3k anchovies (overall, mainly after my cooking was high enough to not burn them) and the last 2k anchovies I also cooked 1.2k plain pizzas and by the time that was cooked I added the 1k anchovies and sold about 1k pizzas. Also did Wine of zammy grabbing for long periods, probably sold 500-1200 wines overall. I also did Rune armor hi-alch for a few hours as well for no particular reason. Was making 15-30k per stack of 70 armor items.
Literally all my money goes towards fool/college (like, I'm technically in the red right now), but I can play runescape while on desk duty as an RA, where my payment is free housing. So technically spending actual money on a runescape membership isn't an option, while playing the game to buy a bond is. Sooo :p I've spent the past few years of college playing on and off, and in the meantime I've made about 7 mil f2p. My best recommendations are sapphire rings, anchovy pizza, and mining iron. Iron also gets into flipping range pretty well sometimes (at one point you could buy for 150 each and sell for over 250 - make 250k in like 10 minutes that way). For pizza, You can work your way up to the correct cooking level by first fishing/cooking anchovies til you can make pizzas, make/cook plain pizzas til you are high enough for anchovy pizzas, and then put the anchovies on the pizza and sell. Overall pretty time consuming but it's a living. Sapphire rings were my first go. Do sheep shearer, and then start with gold necklaces for ~60gp profit per necklace depending on gold prices (I was buying bars for 90 each and selling necklaces for 150 each, but I think both prices have gone down since). Move on to emerald rings when possible, and then sapphire rings are the long term money maker (though emerald rings occasionally have better profits - depends on the market). Do not craft diamond jewelry, as despite crazy profit margins, it takes ages to sell, during which you would have made more money/exp with sapphire rings. For iron, start in dwarven mines near scorps banking in falador. It's one of the least crowded places since bots would die too frequently to the scorps to make it worth it for them, but at the same time combat training bots chill there a lot keeping the scorpions at bay for you. It can be worth it to just stay there by the time you can use a rune pick, or move to varrock southwest (southeast is too crowded - even though the bank trip is slightly shorter, it's not worth it from my experience), where you'll be outmining low level bots. If you also used the sapphire rings method on this account, you can eventually move on to mining gold at the crafting guild for slightly better profit, and that's basically never crowded, but I recommend using a second account to simultaneously run your gold to the bank so you can get back to mining faster. A good mix of combat, exp, and profit are dark mages outside varrock or by the willows in draynor. Former is faster killing with longer walk to bank, latter is slightly slower but with an insanely short bank walk plus you ca chat with people chopping willows. Drops worth picking up are any rare runes (nats, laws, cosmics, or alternatively just pick up everything for personal use like me), fire talismans (best $ drop), and the robe tops. Hats can be worth it if you're desperate (I recommend for draynor because of the short bank walk), but staffs are garbage. Lastly, some things to avoid: hill giants are awful money, but good exp. Just bury the bones for exp, and the only drops worth any money are nats and ocassional uncut gems from the rare drop table. Can be slightly profitable at very high levels if you're bossing Obor, but I personally don't have much experience with that and ultimately wouldn't recommend it. Don't get involved with silver anything. Smithing silver bars is meh experience and meh profit, even though it's fairly popular. Holy necklaces are good on paper but sell awfully and take foreeeeever to make with a not very afk process. Fishing is pretty bad profit in f2p, even at high levels with swordfish, so I discourage it unless you're building up your anchovy stock for pizzas. In fact, anchovy fishing by draynor might just end up being better profit than swordfish even on their own because they sell relatively well and the hike to a bank isn't nearly as long. There are other ways to make money, but I generally don't try anything that won't also get me decent experience, like wilderness loot collecting shenanigans or picking up steel plates in the wilderness, or picking up cowhides.
Also don't waste time on telegrabbing wine of zamorak. It's too heavily botted and you'll barely break even with all the law runes you waste to bots perfectly nabbing it. Plus it takes a very, very long time and isn't very afk-able since you need to be paying attention constantly to grab the wines instantly.
completely agree on that its not worth grinding out the first bond, but it also kinda feels like an accomplishment starting your membership through a free to play trial
Im thinking of making some runescape series along side my normal gameplay but not sure if anyone would watch it :S. Also how do you record your gameplay, i have elgato but it doesnt screenlock just the game like yours does.
I rarely watch youtubers anymore, but damn, I have to say you're really entertaining. Nothing tops A Friend in terms of most entertaining RS youtubers, but you're easily a close 2nd.
In my opinion, do some quests before buying a bond, as one of the first things you do when buying a bond is completing quests. So this will just mean that you have more membership time to do other things.
This is why I hate botters lol. Jagex focuses too much on bullshit these days and not banning bots. I actually like prices being high and stuff not being in demand.
I started playing back in Jan. I used to play 20yrs ago. Prob before u were born lol anyways I've been grinding for days. I'm up to about 4.2m rn I think. But how u started out is exactly how I started out. Leather, rings, necklaces. Yeah all that. For what 20 or 30 mins u were on u did pretty good.
The bots exist because jagex won't put into place a means of stopping them properly. How hard is it to limit how many random numbers there are in a name? Or even having something put into place to prevent them from leaving tutorial island, like a captcha.
kinda but the government steals so much money that it's all nice in the papers but in reality everything sucks if you're not among the 3% of the rich ppl, and it is prety much like that in every latin american country
I have reached over 500 skill total, so I dont have to compete with bots on one of the restricted servers. How long would it take me to grind a bond there?
The other thing is, if you make millions of gp and decide to take a long break from the game, you can always come back (log in occasionally to prevent an account wipe) and buy a bond, then make that money back and more.
Ok remember when you said dont beg irl like you did well i and after 3 hours in i was was about to pack up in 20 mins and someone came and gave me 10 Euro's! He said he knew the game and asked how things were on it i told him runescape 2007 has returned and he said oh really? Well then in that case can i *have my 10 Euro's Back* -_-
Is there a video on how to start from scratch as a f2p player in p2p? ive got 2 bonds waiting but i'm a student no time for using the membership + need money methods to return the investment fast cause each bond gives me a window of two weeks to make money. Please help SirPugger!
I'm lvl 122 and came back after a year break to a clean bank and no friends. I just spammed "dancing for a bond" for less than 2 hours until someone felt sorry for me and asked me a bunch of questions. I got a free bond and made a friend.
I started osrs for the first time something like 5 days ago (f2p) from my perspective it's the grind that makes it worth, after a lot of grind now i'm making tons of money killing players at chaos temple for the wines, of course it's still nothing if i look at members money making methods but the point is that it's very rewarding, yeah i could've bought a membership but then why am i even playing
Spending 100$ for a full year of membership just once a year every year isn't that high of a cost really or even buying it just once and then you'll have a full year to get enough money to sustain yourself with bonds for all eternity. As with most things, the upfront cost might be uncomfortable for some, but it's much more worth it in the long run.
Cheapest but illegal way to get membership: buy mills from gold farmer sites. 1M = about $1. Which means $3=3M=14day bond. 1 month membership costs like $6 this way. While paying directly to jagex for membership costs like almost 2x more.
@SirPugger can you upload a sequel to this except lvl 3 to bond in members worlds. My brother is just now getting into OSRS and would LOVE to watch it! If you upload it I'm willing to fund his first bond to get him access! :D
A lot of negativity in the comment section. Pugger I want to say that this is a great video topic for more or the young new to runescape people who lurk on videos where as all of the active commenters have been in this game as long as you and I. Don't sweat the negative points of view, good video and keep up the good content.
This dude seriously made a sign asking for $$ for rs membership, and got it..😂😂 Now I sub Also, how it was zooming in/ slowed down😂made it have a depressing feel 6:42 Guy looks like such a dude xD
2 weeks. I spent approx. 2 weeks grinding skills, (Except mining cause fuck the bots are swarming them the most) so I could get to the 500 skill server. It's so much less cancerous there. So few bots. I can actually mine and farm attack and strength. I'm not even trying to make money or PK. I'm just trying to beat the regular game in F2P. Only Dragon Slayer left. I'd consider membership if I could do online banking, but everything's too risky online, especially financial matters. Side note: Why keep making more money? Is there an end goal? Is there something so ridiculously expensive that everyone wants? Or is this just typical human greed?
Fk ok so I said ogres instead of hill giants but hey I haven't killed hill giants in like 7 years... also I did telegrab all them nature runes, no pkers at 4 AM (I'm jetlagged)

Plus it takes a very, very long time and isn't very afk-able since you need to be paying attention constantly to grab the wines instantly.
This upload about 1 minute in made me find my old account and fire 3 hours gameplay into it... nostalgia high.
completely agree on that its not worth grinding out the first bond, but it also kinda feels like an accomplishment starting your membership through a free to play trial
Im thinking of making some runescape series along side my normal gameplay but not sure if anyone would watch it :S. Also how do you record your gameplay, i have elgato but it doesnt screenlock just the game like yours does.
HAHAHAHA DID U SRLSY STAND OUTSIDE TO GET OSRS MEMBERSHIP?? LEGEND
I have been binge watching your videos even though I don't understand anything since I don't play Runescape but now I'm gonna try it I hope it's good!
Got my first bond by doing those sapphire rings. Having 3 accounts made it a little bit more bearable though
Was that HD graphics or is your game always that smooth?
This is why I hate botters lol. Jagex focuses too much on bullshit these days and not banning bots. I actually like prices being high and stuff not being in demand.
"i'm doing the same click intensive things in different ways"
runescape
As someone who just recently started playing Osrs I didn't understand much about the video but it was still a good video. I give it a solid 7.9/10
Was dying laughing the whole video , especially the irl begging at the ge , lmao too funny
Seems like your best option as of now in f2p is just to gather the stuff in wilderness and sell it.
Andrius I'm Pretty sure telegrabing nats is waaay faster money. F2p gear is worthless you can make 2m in a night if you know how to telegrab
How are muddy keys doing on oldschool? I remember I got some nice profit in f2p there long time ago.
When you actually got money holding a sign for a runescape membership I choked on my taco.
Awesome video man, good work. Thank you for spending time to make this video.
And i cant believe you actually begged i was lmao.
Should go onto the streets with a sign saying "doubling gp instantly $$"
The bots exist because jagex won't put into place a means of stopping them properly. How hard is it to limit how many random numbers there are in a name? Or even having something put into place to prevent them from leaving tutorial island, like a captcha.
lololol I'm from Brazil. In the third world I wouldn't be able to get that $20 note. I'd have so much competition from people who need it lol
kinda but the government steals so much money that it's all nice in the papers but in reality everything sucks if you're not among the 3% of the rich ppl, and it is prety much like that in every latin american country
its a gring but once you get to members keeping membershit is cake.... love the vid
I have reached over 500 skill total, so I dont have to compete with bots on one of the restricted servers. How long would it take me to grind a bond there?
i love that you got given the money. i did something similar, but for a new phone. it only took a couple hours
please make more of this get a bond in under a few hours with a different way of getting it,
will watch it everytime :D
to late. i made a bond in f2p. then when i got to members.. lets just say. i went from grinding to afk bank. :p
Yup
Dasrx I got a bond in a bank, should I use it? I wanna grind out 2m exp before going membs ;_;(mostly combat, 70 range, 70 melees...
Getting 70 range and melee stats in f2p is moronic
Zulerah Time for bond waste.*cough* Autism Elegy * cough* Pawz..
Zulerah eh, when I was 13 I would afk yews and watch a movie or something
Begging on the street sounds like a good idea
The other thing is, if you make millions of gp and decide to take a long break from the game, you can always come back (log in occasionally to prevent an account wipe) and buy a bond, then make that money back and more.
your account doesn't wipe.. lmao. i just logged onto an account that i havent logged onto in 8 years on eoc and turned that into an 07 pure.
Ok remember when you said dont beg irl like you did well i and after 3 hours in i was was about to pack up in 20 mins and someone came and gave me 10 Euro's! He said he knew the game and asked how things were on it i told him runescape 2007 has returned and he said oh really? Well then in that case can i *have my 10 Euro's Back* -_-
Tick Clicks LOL
Is there a video on how to start from scratch as a f2p player in p2p? ive got 2 bonds waiting but i'm a student no time for using the membership + need money methods to return the investment fast cause each bond gives me a window of two weeks to make money. Please help SirPugger!
When I go to the wilderness to loot I legit dont see anyone... wtf...
You have to go on a PK world, go 308
Me too
Ashutosh Shrivastava go world 308
I'm lvl 122 and came back after a year break to a clean bank and no friends. I just spammed "dancing for a bond" for less than 2 hours until someone felt sorry for me and asked me a bunch of questions. I got a free bond and made a friend.
Video summary: Buy a bond or (spend 24+ hours grinding). Jk bro I appreciate you taking hours of your time to do hella boring F2P gp grind for this.
Dude, are you from Minneapolis/Minnesota??? Cause I know Penn Ave and highway 62 LOL
You gave him the money didnt you
I started osrs for the first time something like 5 days ago (f2p) from my perspective it's the grind that makes it worth, after a lot of grind now i'm making tons of money killing players at chaos temple for the wines, of course it's still nothing if i look at members money making methods but the point is that it's very rewarding, yeah i could've bought a membership but then why am i even playing
ay you already fucking know 10:10 making sure to hit that 10min mark my man
Buying and selling ropes is quite a good f2p moneymaker, never saw bots when I did it ;)
that money begging part is why i like this content
Why can't people just stick to one money making method instead of doing tons of method. Like he can make a bond in f2p if he just looted in wildy
To make videos more fun?
Anyone realise how he brought 500 gold bars 600 sapphires yet sold 600 sapphires rings?
Liked for tthat irl clip lmfao
If i try to go to the wilderness there are no other people, what world should you play in?
the face that you went to the streets for membership was hilarious! Even more so that someone donated xD
10-30 hourz lmao. If your 18+ go sell plasma
Lmao
How much money is selling a quart of plasma?
Spending 100$ for a full year of membership just once a year every year isn't that high of a cost really or even buying it just once and then you'll have a full year to get enough money to sustain yourself with bonds for all eternity. As with most things, the upfront cost might be uncomfortable for some, but it's much more worth it in the long run.
Quality over Quantity! I love you SirPugger! :D
Loved it pugger!
Exactly, time is money. Good man.
Brb going to my city's busiest intersection to advertise doubling money
This was the moment Sir pugger started his bot busting career.
Bonds are the best thing ever. Noobs can buy GP, and cheap guys can buy membership and Jagex gets double money for each member. Win-win-win.
6:44 earned a like and a sub lol
What screen recorder do you guys all use??
A lot of negativity in the comment section. Pugger I want to say that this is a great video topic for more or the young new to runescape people who lurk on videos where as all of the active commenters have been in this game as long as you and I. Don't sweat the negative points of view, good video and keep up the good content.
What do you expect from a game that has mostly 10-13 year olds playing it?
This dude seriously made a sign asking for $$ for rs membership, and got it..😂😂 Now I sub
Also, how it was zooming in/ slowed down😂made it have a depressing feel
6:42
Guy looks like such a dude xD
I got my first bind by doing sapphire rings with 3 accounts simultaneously. It was pure hell.
Try killing imps in karamja for beads, they sell for a few thousand gp each I think, and there's rarely anyone there
It takes so long time you upload videos...And i understand your thumbnails are amazing
This looks fucking painful lmao. Props on u for getting to 700k. F2P is such bullshit
wait... why do you have 8 grand exchange slots when ur not member????
