Thanks for that David. I feel like I'm always cramming in too much info into my lessons, so that's nice to hear!

Thanks Will, I really needed that to motivate me towards practicing 16th notes and work on loosening up my wrist . JOE. Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Fantastic to hear Joe! Congrats on the 1st comment on the video by the way 😆I'm so glad you found some value here. I think these tracks are great for picking, and plus the INXS track gets that funky 16th note strumming too

As a left hander playing right handed (don't ask me to swap it around please, I'm 65 and have been playing right handed since age 8!) I find this REALLY HARD. Double picking in general, and a easy free swinging strum from the wrist, tough! Just as I've never been able to come close to mastering tremolo on my classical. But you've motivated me to "try again"!!

Hey there lefty, good to hear from you. I'm glad you found this video and have these 3 songs to practice your picking on! It's one thing to sit there with a metronome and work this out, but I think you'll find more motivation and fun in these riffs! Update me in a couple weeks and let me know how it's going! Remember, start slow...get it perfectly in time, THEN speed it up in small increments maintaining the perfect technique that you installed

Ah that reminds me, I gotta get chapters set up so people can skip to the good part even easier hahaha. Need You Tonight is pretty much ear candy to the maximum. I could listen to that instrumental for an hour straight and not get sick of it

Thanks Will. Great songs. Very funky INXS song. How about.... it's the one thing. Another groovy tune. Do you remember the band Saga. Just some food for thought.

Awesome Will. Thanks for the tone hints. Sounds great! In the INXS refrain, are you using a foot pedal echo at the climb down?

Good ear Kenny!! I'm listening right now. Yea you can totally hear that 16th note, palm muted picking...little accents in there too. Again, good ear. I should have included this one too because it's a little slower tempo too which is a bit easier than the 109bpm tracks I've got here. The other big difference it's David Gilmour has a delay going with the picking - which is timed with the tempo because you can only hear the echos when he plays something different - you can't really hear it on the picking part

@@willripleyguitar its the delay pedahe uses the echoes ony kick in when he stops playinf and a space ecjho too ets just say metakica is easier now lol

hahaha it means you're a ROCK GOD buddy! Ok, but how flawless is flawless? Let's get a video up so we can all judge just how much of a rock god you are. 😂 Cuz let's face it, "good" is all about what other people think...right? 🐵But I'd love to see what you got in that FLAWLESS picking hand of yours, you rock god, you.
