vibes on point! Thanks for showing us how its done and the tips and tricks towards the end, lots of us Midwest folk are now covered in snow! Get out there!
Guys! I'm over in Aberdeen South Dakota. Went on my first winter ride on my GT a couple days ago, it was amazing. Riding in snow is rather fun. Unfortunately I badgered everything except my bearings. Now they are sounding rough and sandy? Crunchy? Like either salt got in there and wrecked up, or dirt is in em. I assume with the cold temps, 20s F, that they could possibly shrink just enough to let some dirt get in there? Think there's a way to clean the bearings without taking them completely out? How do you guys prevent bearing issues due to winter riding?
That’s a tough one! Haven’t had bearing issues in snow. I recommend using the Badgerwheel bearing covers. They protect the bearings from water/dirt/grime buildup. You also use mating grade grease in between the covers and bearing which acts as another layer of protection. Hope this helps!
I have a TFL Enduro on currently and a stock GT just sitting. Sounds like I should stud my stock tire? At least until I get my GOAT sometime around February? 😝 I have to assume the GOAT won't be any better than something with studs though.
I’m gonna be studding a stock treaded GT tire this week. I think that’ll take studs and hold up better to harsh winter conditions than the enduro would. Just because the compound is much stiffer.
@@carvecreative which studs you recommend for that? Thanks for chattin btw. *EDIT* iGrip SS06, got it, thanks! Just had to let you finish your video 🤦♂
How do you like your XR with the Mustache rails? Is it also lifted? I am about to pull the trigger on a set. Haven’t seen many reviews on them for the XR though.
The crew killed it with this one.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
brooks better watch out when i get these studs installed 😈
Oh snap!👀👀

@@JohnNuer I just took mine off and went back to the stock treaded. Seems to do much better in the snow.
@@FirstWeRide yeah, enduro is great in summer… winter is not the play lol

Thank you for the heads up! Changing it now
Updated!😁
Is that the enduro tire?
Joe (the green board) is riding an enduro. Brooks is on a Burris TX33
its the enduro.. but backwards hahahaha

Brooks rides them with a 1/2” lift. Super playful, tons of clearance, smoother landings, don’t need a tilt to ride mission, Deff recommend!
Do you notice any faster battery drain riding in the cold?
Usually it’ll take out 15-20% of the battery in low temps
Terrible music don't click
Do you notice any faster battery drain riding in the cold?
Absolutely! Loss in performance a bit too but nothing that limits you! I’m still getting 12-15 miles on my cbxr in cold, depending!
