I'm 56 and I have been growing out my hair for over a year. I'm near the end of my awkward stage. Finally looking good tying up my hair. Love your vids. I'm still learning how to keep my hair healthy and manageable.
Guess I have been blessed. I hit 60 and realized that my hair wasn't thinning and that I had never tried growing it out. Then Covid hit and I said, not going to let this opportunity pass me by. Eight months and still doing it.
Luca, you have been an inspiration for me for a long time now. I discovered your channel whilst I was growing out my hair and I was delighted to know that I had started my hair journey around the same time as you! There were many times during the awkward phase where I wanted to cut my hair but I kept going back to your channel for hair inspo. My goal was to grow a man bun and I am safe to say that I have accomplished that. I will be cutting my hair on Saturday and it has been a wild journey. Thank you Luca for the content. You have helped a lot of people.
29, started growing my hair out during the pandemic. While my friends and peers somewhat pressured me to not go for it, as short hair as suited me throughout my life, I’m glad I went through with it. A lot of friends and colleagues my age have succumb to balding, I’m one of the lucky few that have maintained a normal hairline and there’s a lot of envy from them in that regard. I miss having short hair at times but I’ve never felt more comfortable and happy with my appearance since growing it out. Your videos have helped motivate me throughout the process, Luca! Keep doing what you’re doing.
Started growing out mine at 30 yo, in 2020 during lockdown. It was a great time to go through that weird phase cuz there wasn't much going on. Been keeping it long for 3 years now and your channel really helped me tons!
I am 16 years old. I've been growing out my hair since 2020, September 1st. My last big cut was on the day of the start of the school year (almost reaching the middle of my chest now). I have maintenance cuts every 6 months. Your videos helped me a lot. I try to care a lot about my hair and have a healthy lifestyle. My father is bald since his late 20s so I am a bit anxious about thinning hair and balding (which I haven't experienced so far luckily), but I'll do whatever I can to stop it or reduce it as much as possible when it comes.
I guess I must be among the lucky few - I started growing my hair out at 39, and am now 42. Your videos are always enjoyable, many thanks. I suppose flattery will get you everywhere (referring of course to the comment about the lucky ability to grow hair out in your 40s!).
I am 17 now. My last hair cut was in January 2020. My hair reaches almost over my chest. People around me tell me that they don't remember how I was without long hair. They always tell me that I look great. But in the last few days (maybe a month), I've been thinking about cutting it, either because I want the feeling of a new hairstyle or because having long hair takes a lot of time and effort (I have to shampoo every day). I never got a maintenance cut, maybe if I do, it will make me enjoy more my long hair.
It sure gets in the way if you are really busy For me it has become such a pain as I have to study endlessly for my entrace exam 😐😐, but i really want to have long hair until I get baldy syndrome
Same brotha, been 3 years growing my hair out and I've just had enough of it. It's tough to maintain them with college and stuff. Will go buzz cut in a month or two
Same here man. Turning 17 in a few months and have been growing out my hair for exactly a year now.. didn't have a maintenance trim or anything thinking of getting one probably next week... Yeaaa its hard to maintain it with college and all but its the experience we get you know..
I grew mine out for 10 months and finally got a fresh skin taper fade today and 2/3 of the length off. I feel amazing and look 5 years younger. I enjoyed the process of growing out my hair but just lost interest towards the end. Respect to those growing it. It deffo tests your patience
im in the exact same boat, been growing my hair out for about 10 months now too and am going to cut it next week. its been a great journey and im happy i grew my hair out as i originally wanted to try something new. i think my shorter hair suits me better so i think its the right time to cut it. I would recommend anyone reading this to try growing your hair out atleast once in your life just so you know that u look like.
Currently in my late teens, I don't remember when my last haircut was but now its to half of my back. More then 2.5 years of growing it out with just one cut in those 2 and something years. I am loving it, loving the attention, loved the process even if sometimes it was frustrating and just wanted to cut it whole I wouldn't have heart to do it now. It just goes well with my whole style and aesthetic I am going for. It is nice to be different then the rest especially where I am coming from.
In my opinion the best moment to start growing out your hair is right now! (As long as it hasn´t thinned out extremely yet) But it looks good on almost every man and if you don´t like it you can always cut it :)
Been growing out my hair since may in 2021 and i've reached one year and 2 months from now, the hardest thing about doing it is the discouragement that you get from the people and as a teenager(I'm like, 13yo) it's more tough as you still didn't have learned yet how to stop caring about what the others say but, by the time, I understood that, the best way to react when someone's mockery is: do not react. I mean, do not react at the moment, you can tell to someone else about it if you're okay with it but, do not show that you're uncomfortable with it, the core of most of these "jokes" is left someone unstable to force you to do something(most of times, something stupid) to feed the jokes about you. Sorry for the bad english tho
Absolutely best content creator when it comes to growing out your hair as a man. Especially because your hair looks great! You’re my inspiration and the reason i even considered growing out my hair. Would love to see an update of your hair length. Greetings from Germany
I’m 58 and started growing my hair out almost a year ago, I currently have the same hair length I had when I was 20 so am in the awkward stage but you have motivated me to continue until I can do a man bun 😎
Im 62 and started growing my hair out in August of 2021. Its around 3-4 inches past my shoulder. Ive never had hair this long except back in my 20 -30s when mullets were in. Always sported short hair up till then. i have a mature hair line and a full head of hair. Im guess fortunate enough to be in the 5 percent.
Just had an inch trim two days ago. Over Two years growth now since the pandemic started. Went from a Cesar cut to just about at my shoulders now. Now it’s a bit shorter but that trim did me good. I’m in my late 30s
Well I just hit 40 and going for it before like you say it’s to late. Been wanting to for years but always bottled it and got it cut short. Let’s see how it goes. Great vid as always. 👍🏻
I'm 17 and I'm in my colege freshman year. I let out a big sigh knowing I can finally grow my hair out (for the 4th time). Finally i can re-experience long hair whilst studying and just be with my fav hairstyle once more. I'm currently in month 2 and I'll keep going.
Remember that it's also very important to have a healthy hair, your hair will grow faster if it's healthy and you will look so much better with a shiny hair. I recommend you to put a little bit of caffé (with caffeine) and sugar on a portion of your shampoo and then apply it on your hair and wait 4 minutes until you wash you hair. I never had such a shiny and soft hair before. My friends tried it and they saw a big difference on their hair. Every hair is different so i can't tell you if it will work on you but give it a try.
I started August 16th 2020 at age 39 from a buzz cut with a low skin fade. (41 now) I was lucky and got to work from home during the pandemic and not have to always show all the awkward phases to the world lol next month will be 2 years of growth. I am fortunately one of the lucky ones and have very full hair. Only maintenance cuts I’ve had are to the back to even my hair out and not rock a mullet lol I’d say I have about 6-9 more months till I’m at goal (mid chest level) Love your videos man! I’ve watched them along this whole journey! Cheers!
I'm about to turn 15 in about 2 months and I started last September. I don't regret starting at all, hell, some of my friends at school didn't even notice that my hair was getting any longer. At the end of the year I showed them my ID (The picture was from before the school year had begun) and they were very surprised!
this is so true having long hair as a teen is completely different because so many people asked me why I was doing it and they all thought they had their word to say, my parents thought they had to give me their permission but like absolutely not the amount of person that judged me just for the length of my hair is actually crazy and ridiculous like its just hair, get a life
There's a guy at my gym in his 60's who is in great shape for any age. He's been growing out this white/silver hair and it looks pretty cool on him. Long gray hair while in shape is a green light! Long gray hair and out of shape is a solid NO from me!
Had long hair since I was 15, cut it at like 17, regretted it and grew it out again, cut it again at 22 and regretted it and now I'm growing it out AGAIN. Guess I'll never learn..
I’m 43 and have been growing my hair out for about 8 months. First time in my life I’ve had it long enough to tie back (top knot with undercut) . I work in a corporate job, but post covid work attire has become far more relaxed and I’m now at an age where I do f really care what others think anyway🤣
I can only recommend PRP treatment for prevention of hair thinning. My father and two brothers, one of which is my twin, all suffer from hair thinning and hair loss. I started the treatment when I noticed a lot of hair fall and it stopped it completely as well as maximized the volume. It's definitely pricey and a bit painful but so far worth it!
Age 15 rn my hair type is wavy it looks very good on me but when I shampoo my hair got very dry . Sometimes my hair become straight and sometimes curly but I mastered both and this helped me alot . I am growing out my hair now but the sideparts irritates me alot.......
Teens is probably the best IMO if you've lost your babyfat. This stage of your life is probably the most dense your hair is going to be, most thick too, post "maturation". You can also be a bit more edgy as a teen and it would be seen as "normal". You also likely have a smaller face as a teen compare to when you're 40 (different people will experience different head growth). And if you were ever to experience thinning or receding, it would likely be super minimal if at all in your teens. Also if you figure it out in your teens that long hair suits you or not, you can spend your 20s (arguably when you're the best looking; people only reference older ages looking better with celebrities or people who put a lot of effort into their looks with age) with the hairstyle that suits you the best.
But of course everyone is different. For example, my face didn't start looking more mature until even my mid 20s and I still retained onto a lot of my babyfat. I also didn't take good care of my hair until my early 20s, and was in worse shape, so personally my 20s were a more suitable time for me to grow out my hair. But I am envious of teens who grow out their hair and look great with it; rocking a style/look that is only pretty much available to you in your teens or 20s maybe.
I’m 15 and my last major haircut was in October 2021. My awkward stage has gotten less, well, awkward, and the top of my hair length wise can go to the bottom of my lip. The sides and back have some catching up to do, and I did get a trim about a month or two ago. I realized along the way how much patience is required to grow out your hair, but I’m willing to go through the long waiting.
Growing hair takes lot of time and patience; but if that's what you want then you should it. I grew out my hair early 20s, never regretted my decision. Actually I miss my long hair.
If you want then the best time is right now start your journey, because these days you don't know when your hair start thinning, receding hairline issues etc .
I had shoulder length hair in 8th grade last year since classes were online the entire year but at the end of 8th grade my teacher forced me to cut it so now ive been growing it out over the summer and my new teacher might allow it
one of the reason why started growing out my hair is that I noticed my hair was thinning so I wanted to give it a last try before I get completely bald
Hey luca i had a question: Should i use a blow dryer to dry my hair everyday? My hair has been falling a lot recently so i suspect its because of that And should i towel dry first or after blow dry?
I’m 41 and looking to grow my hair out, iv had a man bun twice before in my life, I still have thick full head of hair but a lot of people think long hair makes a middle age man look even older
I am about to turn 28 and I have always wanted to grow my hair out but I always gave in. The longest period I let it grow was 11 months than I cut it and it hurt so bad. This is my last attempt at growing it as I am planning to let it grow for 2 years if God wills it. The last time I got a trim was in February almost 3 months now so hopefully I will have the resole to this through this time ✌
hi Luca, I'm almost 14 and I've been growing out my hair for pretty much a year, I'm starting to like how they look but i have a problem, dandruff, I've tried many ways to make it go away or just reduce the problem but nothing seems to really work, what do you think i should do?
I would advise you to search tips on how to take care of long hair, I recommend learning from women first then men. My tips: shampoo first then condition your hair once a week. In between the week, you can style your hair however you want; oil, leave in conditioner, etc. But if you still have dandruff, do twice shampoo a week to see if it goes away. Its important to wash your hair gentle, let's you wash at least 2-3 mins so it can have an effect on your hair. Take care and treat your hair like its valuable to you
@@giuseppeformisano8282 you are welcome. You also shouldnt buy many products. Shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner or style or gel. That's it. Keep it simple then as you know how to take care of hair, you can advance by buying products that fit and improve your hair. Goodluck!
I’m just getting out of the awkward phase but man I’m starting to miss my short hair. I see my friends rocking buzz cuts, and short hair and it makes me want cut it. I must keep growing because I came this far (8 months now).
I started growing out my hair sep/oct 2019 and I went through the awkward growing out phase during the first lockdown. Currently still have long hair and plan to for the next couple of years. I’ve implemented Rosemary oil into my hair care routine to help with abit of thinning/shedding
Shah Rukh Khan an Indian actor is also very old and is growing out is hair at this age. But as you said it they have plenty of resources and flexibility and their profession also supports them too.
I had hair down to my waist in college. Started in high school. Unfortunately for me, I didn't really start getting facial hair until I was like 25. And so I was sick of getting all these confused looks when I walked into the mens room ha.
I actually don't care about the weird expressions, i work in a store and people confuse me as a girl sometimes (i have a moustache not beard tho) but when they look me from behind, i'm just a girl i guess lmao, but i really don't mind, it ends up in the person saying sorry, and i saying i don't mind, because at the end of the day, its just life.
I had long hair from the ages of 13 to 16 and even though I cut it after 3 years I want to grow it again when I'm in my mid 20's or 30's to see if the style would look different when I'm older
I always think about growing my hair out, but then i remember i am from the middle east and the weather is 38-45°c from the end of may to october and i just say fuck it and end up getting a buzz cut lol, but i do like the buzz cut
I can't believe that i was just thinking about stopping growing more hairs as im currently attending high school andthis canbet a little stressed out so thank u i will get a hair cut and re continue after a break
An 18 year old currently growing out for almost 5months now awkward phase has started for me so has pressure from family hope I endure it and get my desired length.
bro im a teen and i had long hair upto just beneath my shoulder. but recently, my hairfall has accelerated, i honestly dont know what to do tried so many shampoo and conditioner combinations, so many hair products all according to content provided by content creators and the internet. i think its time i give up and maybe i'll just startover again :/
My hair is starting to get kinda long but I have somewhat curly hair that goes forward. My hair goes below my bottom lip but won’t go backwards still on my head. It’s annoying because my hair is dark and it sometimes looks like a curly emo
God bless you brother. Really enjoy your videos, and you're an inspiration. Have a question, do you think I should even my hair out, my hair from the back is much longer than the sides, since I started growing it out from an undercut. Thank you
I'm 32 and i found your channel a few months ago. The last time i got a haircut was back in February of this year which was a fade and since then, i've been growing out my hair and it's grown a lot, so i think i'm one of the lucky ones who can do this at my age. The length i'm thinking is to where my hair covers my back neck not so much the shoulders. I wonder if i could tie it once it reaches that length...
17 here, failed to grow hair out 3 times, the longest I went was 7 months, everytime hairloss occured and i lost hairline, can you make a video on things to keep in mind while growing hair out ? Like Supplements - biotin?? Diet How many times to Shampoo How many times Hair oil should be applied And all basic stuffs and also problems you faced while growing such nice hair out ? Thanks :) have a great day.
He’s addressed this before, but look up a Trav White’s channel. There’s a lot of science based information he provides in terms of supplements and diet - but if you want the basics: Biotin doesn’t work. No off the shelf supplement will help you grow your hair any healthier or faster. Maintaining a healthy, well balanced diet with regular exercise will promote as much healthy hair growth as your genetics will allow. Patiences is what will get you there the fastest.
I grow my hair for almost 1 year but cut Little too much in between so not much but above awkward stage, now I cut them again to grow much good again 👍👍
I really started growing my hair around the beginning of Covid and then just let it go from there. Now way past shoulders and around mid chest. I really like it though I hate the shedding so many hairs around
I grew out my hair during the pandemic only because you and I like how it looks on me. But Im facing major hair fall issue for the past few months. So should I go back to short hair?
Try to find ways and research on how to maintain longer hairs as they are a little more diffult to maintain. Try not to put your hair in tight manbuns all the time as it will cause traction hair loss. Short hair could help ease your situation as it won't weight down your hair as much but it's pretty much your choice I guess.
I am in my awakrad stage I will cut my hair 5 months ago and i have a fast growing hair that's why i am in my awakrad stage but I need some motivation bcz i am not looking good now but ik i will look good after growth but lack of motivation Also i have less hair follicles in my mustase area and decent hairs in beards. I started the treatment when I noticed a lot of hair fall and it stopped it completely as well as maximized the volume. It's definitely pricey and a bit painful but so far worth it!
Hope you’re also taking finasteride, that’s the ultimate hair savior for us with bald genetics.
Age 15 rn my hair type is wavy it looks very good on me but when I shampoo my hair got very dry . Sometimes my hair become straight and sometimes curly but I mastered both and this helped me alot . I am growing out my hair now but the sideparts irritates me alot.......
Bhai coconut oil lagao shampoo se pehle
And 1,3 drops after shampoo
Do this, use coconut oil before shampooing, then apply fresh aloe vera gel for 10 mins and rinse it off with just water
use a conditioner
I just turned 24 used to buzzing my hair short had long hair once in middle school. Now that I’m a young adult would love to give it another shot.
Go for it brother ✌
I’m 15 and my last major haircut was in October 2021. My awkward stage has gotten less, well, awkward, and the top of my hair length wise can go to the bottom of my lip. The sides and back have some catching up to do, and I did get a trim about a month or two ago. I realized along the way how much patience is required to grow out your hair, but I’m willing to go through the long waiting.
Same
Growing hair takes lot of time and patience; but if that's what you want then you should it. I grew out my hair early 20s, never regretted my decision. Actually I miss my long hair.
The best time is right now!
If you want then the best time is right now start your journey, because these days you don't know when your hair start thinning, receding hairline issues etc .
19 and haven’t cut my hair since Covid, currently shoulder length (almost nipple length) and loving it.
I’m 31 and my last haircut was 9 months ago and 1st trimmed from the last 2 months I will keep growing on next year
I had shoulder length hair in 8th grade last year since classes were online the entire year but at the end of 8th grade my teacher forced me to cut it so now ive been growing it out over the summer and my new teacher might allow it
one of the reason why started growing out my hair is that I noticed my hair was thinning so I wanted to give it a last try before I get completely bald
Hey luca i had a question:
Should i use a blow dryer to dry my hair everyday? My hair has been falling a lot recently so i suspect its because of that
And should i towel dry first or after blow dry?
63! Last haircut December 2019. Figured if I didn’t do it now I never would.
If Head & Shoulders fails, try Selsun.
Take care and treat your hair like its valuable to you
@@marvira appreciate it, thank you
@@giuseppeformisano8282 you are welcome.
Keep it going man... I know how it is wanting to cut it sometimes, I go through periods of that.... Mine is about at my nipples and I love it!
I'm 19, I go for it
i'm 18 and my last haircut was in 2018. i do trim the edges every once in a while but other than that i just tie it up into a bun and call it a day
I had hair down to my waist in college.
First time at 27 to 29. Would shave the sides and the back to avoid the awkward face. Starting over again. Should’ve done it during lockdown tbh
I had long hair from the ages of 13 to 16 and even though I cut it after 3 years I want to grow it again when I'm in my mid 20's or 30's to see if the style would look different when I'm older
I always think about growing my hair out, but then i remember i am from the middle east and the weather is 38-45°c from the end of may to october and i just say fuck it and end up getting a buzz cut lol, but i do like the buzz cut
..im turning 49 next month..ive already growing out my long hair for 2 yrs also my beard..now i have a manbun and a viking beard👍😉😁😊
I'm 16 turning 17 in December and my last haircut was in around march 2022
I can't believe that i was just thinking about stopping growing more hairs as im currently attending high school andthis canbet a little stressed out so thank u i will get a hair cut and re continue after a break
An 18 year old currently growing out for almost 5months now awkward phase has started for me so has pressure from family hope I endure it and get my desired length.
bro im a teen and i had long hair upto just beneath my shoulder.
but recently, my hairfall has accelerated, i honestly dont know what to do
tried so many shampoo and conditioner combinations, so many hair products all according to content provided by content creators and the internet.
i think its time i give up and maybe i'll just startover again :/
My hair is starting to get kinda long but I have somewhat curly hair that goes forward. My hair goes below my bottom lip but won’t go backwards still on my head. It’s annoying because my hair is dark and it sometimes looks like a curly emo
God bless you brother.
Really enjoy your videos, and you're an inspiration.
Have a question, do you think I should even my hair out, my hair from the back is much longer than the sides, since I started growing it out from an undercut.
Thank you
There are some of us starting late 40s into early 50s growing for The Great Cut 2024 for The Longhairs charity hair collection in spring 2024!
Very nicely explained, tq
17 YEARS old now and my parents are putting pressure on me to cut my middle length hair. 🥺
I wear a hairsystem. I m 28. And I would to grow my side hair and after that, I would wear a Hairsystem with long hair
Im growing my hair out the lower back side of my hair is really bushy and it sometimes curls and sticks out from the sides. What should I do?
I have a question please, my sides are shorter than the top, and i want to grow out my hair is it okay ?
i first grew my hair when i was 16. grew for 1 year . now i have a buzz cut again . 😢. love your videos luca
Your amazon favourites link is broken bud.
Nice one
How long have you been growing out your hair luca?
I started growing it out at 15 and 16 now
It's growing a lot
I don't know if my hair will last till 30s
23 last week, I've been thinking about it and might commit
I'm 32 and i found your channel a few months ago. The last time i got a haircut was back in February of this year which was a fade and since then, i've been growing out my hair and it's grown a lot, so i think i'm one of the lucky ones who can do this at my age. The length i'm thinking is to where my hair covers my back neck not so much the shoulders. I wonder if i could tie it once it reaches that length...
17 here, failed to grow hair out 3 times, the longest I went was 7 months, everytime hairloss occured and i lost hairline, can you make a video on things to keep in mind while growing hair out ?
Like
Supplements - biotin??
Diet
How many times to Shampoo
How many times Hair oil should be applied
And all basic stuffs and also problems you faced while growing such nice hair out ? Thanks :) have a great day.
He’s addressed this before, but look up a Trav White’s channel. There’s a lot of science based information he provides in terms of supplements and diet - but if you want the basics:
Biotin doesn’t work. No off the shelf supplement will help you grow your hair any healthier or faster.
Maintaining a healthy, well balanced diet with regular exercise will promote as much healthy hair growth as your genetics will allow.
Patiences is what will get you there the fastest.
I am at norwood 2 at 16 🥲
31 been growing it for like a year now . Not so bad at all did it to reinvent myself the lady’s dig it
Im 37 I started to my hair out about 6 months ago ?
I grow my hair for almost 1 year but cut Little too much in between so not much but above awkward stage, now I cut them again to grow much good again 👍👍
I really started growing my hair around the beginning of Covid and then just let it go from there. Now way past shoulders and around mid chest. I really like it though I hate the shedding so many hairs around
For me I would say the best age to grow your hair long is in your MID 20's, so about 25+ is a good age to grow your hair out. 👍
Short hair could help ease your situation as it won't weight down your hair as much but it's pretty much your choice I guess.
luca I am getting around 5 to 10 hair while combing tell me somyhing about it I am pretty worried about it
32 and I’m about one year in! It don’t grow like it did at 22!
Been growing my hair out for 3yrs and 5 months im 17 now
Anytime is the best time to grow it out as long as you arent losing your hair
I am 16 but have a receding hairline. Still growing it tho. I guess sometimes life is unfair
