Loved this! Got a 2020 I30N and Albert Biermann and his team has done such a brilliant job with it. Can’t wait for more N cars!
I got a Kia Stinger 3.3L GTS 4 months ago. Absolutely fantastic car and seeing so few in the UK makes it feel so special.
I was shocked they didn’t mention the Stinger at all in this video
@@kevinharper8700 same here. I was really looking forward to seeing it as I would have thought it is their flagship car for Kia even if it does sell in small numbers.
This vid was taken in July 2019 and it took one and half year to be released!! What happened?
@@alexlee-isted5046 yea that’s exactly what I was thinking... this video must’ve been made before the Stinger was announced. Everyone was talking about the Stinger in 2018!

This is already pretty outdated just being about two years old. The new GV80, G80, and G90 have really changed the game. The new wet clutch in the Veloster N and some of the other new tech is amazing. No one does it like Korea.

I'm pleased to own two kias.Sportage gt line and a picanto gtine s which I absolutely love.Best handling little car I've driven in a long time.
This is the kind of documentary i grew up with
여기에 한국이 나온지는 몰랐네ㅋㅋ 신기신기
Brilliant video 👌
Love the video, great to see how kia and hyundai do things. I have a veloster N and I freaking love my Veloster N.
The Korean manufacturers have come a long way from the early 00s. They make really nice cars nowadays.
Too much honking sound added in the Gangnam scene.
There is no way that many honks happen unless someone is blocking several lanes on purpose.
Really like the Proceed gt... But I also like the hyundai i30N.... Korea are smashing it at the moment :)
Hyundai/Kia has progressed so far from the where they were in the 90s
Reminds me of the Japanese car companies. In the '60s, they were mostly crap. By halfway through the '70s, they were easily on par or superior to the local stuff. But it took until the mid-80s and '90s to be recognised for that quality. Hyundai/Kia are currently equivalent to the Japanese '70s and '80s - still fighting the stigma of their country of origin, but their quality and value are phenomenal.
11:49 I'm with Jimmy, I also would take hybrid over battery-powered EV. You still have the flexibility of gasoline engine when you need it most of the time and the battery when driving in town.
I have a 3.3tt AWD Stinger and a Veloster N. Was always a Japanese fan but both these cars were performance bargains. My N is FBO and tuned w/WMI CF hood, fenders and splitter and a bunch of other goodies. The Stinger is the winter car.
5:37 Test facility closed due to British Television filiming crews
UK perceptions on par with the Honda C 99 in the 79’s.....slag it off at your peril.
Excellent video!!
Culture will be the biggest setback for autonomous vehicles.
Love that Proceed GT. What a fantastic looking sporty wagon.
Malaysia and Korea started almost at the same time, sadly due to corrupted politicians and appointed corporate vultures Malaysian automobile industry is dead and smeared.
Did they film the Kdrama 'Start-Up' in that testing ground?
The Kia k9 is also called the Kia k900 in American and sadly it’s being killed off same with the Kia Cadenza also known as the Kia k7 in Korea
I have a 2018 I30 N what an awesome car

I'm not ready to give up the range of the diesel engines.
Yuo will
they must change name into sixth gear because all manuals have it six now or even 7 like porsche while automatic up to ten
I own both a Hyundai and a Honda...Hyundai still has a long way to go to catch up with Honda on reliability..
maybe so, but compared to how long each brand has been in the game and where they are now, the Koreans will run circles around the Japanese soon :)
talking about the crisis of processor, car with computing system to drive on its own would have crazy amount of processors
Looks delicious....gonna have to try it, thanks for sharing!!
what happens if the lights go green, it starts off and another car goes through the red light? will it see it and stop?
Should have covered BMW's and Mercs one of the biggest market and cities in the world. Hyundai probably wanted it unnoticed.
Had 2 Korean cars love em
Amazing episode this one!
But @0:41, where the heck did they get that chap from?
Will the 2020s be the golden age of Hyundai and Kia like the 1990s of Japanese cars 🇰🇷🇯🇵
"They fit an engine in this car every 72 seconds." I thought they'd last longer than that!
In winter conditions how long to keep charged in a cold country and range in cold.
Do they use jidoka and kaizen.
In 2035 won't have a choice, all dealerships will only be able to All Electric Vehicles including used car lots. Therefore, 13 years of petrol, keep in mind you try to trade in your petrol all dealerships will say no trade in available on petrol, because they won't be able to re-sell it.
0:47 hello there karun
Billy’s brain is in the boot, just like most drivers leave their brain in the boot or at home.
If the Indian government can see the money of tuning. It will be amazing.
LOL if it was a bmw system it would jump the red lights and not use it's indicators like a bmw driver
The K-9 is a V8 powered RWD 4 door saloon, dont know why they havent exported them to the western world or iis that what the Kia boss didn't want to speak about. Perhaps a N version of the K-9 for the Autobahn⁉️
Its sold in the US as the K900.
The future is looking more and more boring by the day. Autonomous this, autonomous that. 👎🏻
yeh all this autonomous car tech is wasting huge amounts of clever people's time and energy when the world clearly has many more pressing issues
@@Autotrawler1 the same argument can be used on any kind of technological R&D
Believe it or not, most people just drive to get from point A to point B. Not to enjoy it. We car enthusiasts are a very small minority.
@@rdmz135 I wouldn't say small. Car culture is huge around the world and im not just talking about enthusiasts im talking about all different types of motor racing also. Having all autonomous vehicles and all electric motor racing is going to be boring as bat shit!
You can still buy an old car, buy em while you still can

This was filmed in the summer of 2019.

They don't need safety glasses inside the factory?

Fall in line like a good boy.....🤔🙄😯
Is it just me or do they honk like India in Seoul?
Damn turned me off by those honking. I live in japan and i almoat never hear a honk, only to thank someone.

Unless we have some sort of democratisation of wealth. None of us will be able to afford such things. Or at least very few. If everything comes to a monthly subscription and no one owns anything any more then only the corporations will own anything. The problem has always been the commoditisation of humans. The tech revolution has some big hurdles to get over. People what meaning stimulation. I didn’t grow up dreaming to be driven around I grew up dreaming of driving something. Of being engaged with it. I personally have no interest in just going for a ride and being a passenger. I want to feel I want to experience. Cars are actually getting pretty boring to be honest very disengaging.
Besides the lack of range and price, the biggest issue of EV's and this is something nobody talks about, is the fact that we will have to increase the production of electrical energy *massively* if we're gonna move over to EV from petrol.
So, how are we gonna do this? By burning more fossil fuel or using nuclear power? Because, let's be realistic here, the renewable energy sources are in no way enough to cover the amount of increased electrical energy needed.
Another thing, everybody likes to ignore, is the fact that we will need massive amounts of ''rare earth'' minerals to build all these millions and millions of lithium batteries. So basically, we're gonna replace petrol with another limited, natural resource that has to be mined and that will eventually run out. (Also keep in mind that these batteries don't work forever and have to be replaced after a number of years.)
I miss those days talking without masks.
파업 안하는 시기를 잘 골라 갔네.
Here in the Philippines Korean Cars are Together with Japanese Cars also , Kia cars are also Influence to the Filipino People like Kia Pride which one of the Popular Cars in the 90s , Because im Japanese and Korean Car Guy
this fake city for test driving has perfect roads with perfect lines printed. i wonder how on random maps the driving assistant would react then
Yeah yeah, it`s all fun and games until it becomes self aware...
What a depressing future for those who like driving.
No thanks... Honestly. Auto braking to prevent rear enders should be the focus. I have not seen that accomplished yet. Nissan going down the Hwy and then randomly slamming on the brakes stopping on the Hwy for no reason is not accomplishing anything except disaster. Auto braking only working at speeds below 30mph is not a success. And on and on. And yet.. The engineers are skipping this most important task and going ahead with full blown autonomy?
We are only at the first generation of safety features. Manufacturers will be competing to bring the best to market.
In 10 years time cars will be fully autonomous it really just depends if governments give it the go ahead.
One thing that can also be done with autonomous is that you drive the car like normal and if something dangerous is about to unfold the car can take over for the microseconds that make the difference otherwise you just do not know it is there.
The advantage to this as well is that smart motorways could be set up with far higher speed limits than what is available to today. There is no reason why there could not be a autobahn style no speed limits on certain British motorways.
The key to all of this is people dictating to government what is needed rather than the other way around.
The only and last time I would ever own a korean made POS. Looks good inside and out but don't get that fools you, it's still a POS.
Why do you have Jimmy (fire him and bin the music ) ,save money !!!
So in the future everyone may as well get a taxi or bus then, what's the point of paying many thousands for a car that you don't drive? It should save us money though i guess .
Self driving for lazy people and for people that don’t want to be bothered with driving.
Jeremy Clarkson was born jemima a woman
Bin that "music" (annoying ) !!!
the only acceptable top gear substitute, and a good one at that
The only acceptable Top Gear substitute is The Grand Tour
I hate modern vehicles. Talk about ripping the soul out of driving.
Ill drive till i die thnx, unless im a handicap or something self drive is useless, stop allowing people to be lazy like that, especially when the most are capable, not looking forward to a boring future.
Pretty good. However, way, way, way, behind Tesla. Tesla Robotaxi coming very soon. The pack is way back. Don't believe, doesn't matter because you will see soon.....

That is car culture bud.
