I had a jazz of this generation. It (along with many others I imagine) ended up in the scrapyard as the chassis had almost rusted away. Mechanically it was fine so if Honda had galvanised it (or if the first owner had it coated) then yeah it woulda lasted forever

So much room in it. Sadly the Catalytic converter got stolen. Nothing ever went wrong with it. Few bits of light rust started coming through but that was it. Kinda miss it, even though I got the piss taken out of me from my mates for driving it 😂.
Ari Cagan James May is absolutely 100% his mother’s copy. Clarkson the second most and hammond, well, not so much like his mother other than tha fact that she is shorter in stature.
How awful! I recall Jeremy talking about the time his dad passed away and how he made it just in time to say goodbye and now his mum is gone. It's hard to loose a parent, no matter what your age.

After all the years of watching Top Gear. Real Top Gear. Looking back this happens to be one of my favorite episodes for no other reason then being able to actually watch guys interact with their moms is genuinely sweet, and nice to see. I know the guys were getting older, but that didn’t change the dynamic of the show. They were still as fun to watch. The chemistry they had was real, and it showed. That’s what made the show.

It was a Plymouth Belvedere 1964 with a 426 hemi. Mom climbed in and commenced to putting two black ribbons of rubber down in front of our house. It was the only time she did that, but she wanted to make sure she had the power at her disposal should the need ever arise. He bought her a 67 impala ss 427 one year and a 69 Dodge Coronet with a 440 police interceptor another time. Watching these three women makes me wonder. What were shopping trips with my mom, grandmother and aunts like when us kids weren't with them. Might explain why I always had someone hunting me down on a Friday or Saturday night wanting to race.
My mom treated our Ford Escape like it was a formula one car; to this day I’m still shocked she never managed to roll it. I had to do the online traffic school for her like five times.
Seeing the last special on Grand Tour and seeing them together like this just is magical...they did so much and geniunely gave us good heartfelt entertainment for 20+ years. Cheers to everyone involved making GT and TG

At release I was in my mid twenties and was only laughing, nowadays I can totally see the validity in the mothers' arguments. Quite funny (though unsurprisingly) to see that out of all 3 cars, the Honda Jazz is the only one you'll still commonly see out on the UK roads, and we're in the 2020's now. A real testament to Japanese reliability.
You don't see a lot of the Peugeots because they didn't sell in great numbers. You'll still see more Moduses compared to the Jazz. As for mk2 clios you can't go out without seeing one. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw the older gen Jazz to be honest.
With the trio retiring for the most part now, it's quite sad to think most of these women have probably passed on by now, they'd be pushing late 90's at best Rest in peace
