    Yep this is THE bag! I got this for my m50 late last year and it held my canon m50, 2 batteries, charger, 22mm f2, 50mm 1.8, 15-45mm, 70-200 2.8, 16-35mm 2.8, 100mm 2.8, 30mm 1.4, rode videomicro and had lots of room for my phone and even my Nintendo switch and a mint tripod! I sold my m50 to get an an RP so I don’t have those ef-m lenses anymore but I still am able to fit my canon rp, ef 70-200 2.8, ef 24-105 f4, ef 50mm 1.8, ef 16-35 2.8, ef 100mm 2.8 and my rf 35mm. Such a good bag at an awesome price! I got mine for $50 aud

    That's actually the bag I currently use - It holds my M50, EF-M 55-100, Kit Lens, 22mm Pancake, Both battery chargers, with room to spare. I've also thrown my wallet, passport, and other such docs in the little pocket on the inside. Then a small mini tripod on the side and wandered around Disney and the Bahamas for days. That thing is AMAZING for a tiny backpack.

It's just the right size to fit my M50 and the lenses, it even fits my action camera pouch in one of the compartments nicely. Thank you so much for the recommendation Mark. Thanks for the quality video, as usual! Looks like a great bag for travel. Unfortunately it won't fit my needs as I shoot while biking most days, a lot of railroad and sunset photography, and I need to be able to open the bag and yank a camera out holster-style, and shoot seconds after jumping off the bike. A backpack won't give me that ability. I'm shooting with a LowePro Format 160 these days allows me to carry 2 M6ii's with EVFs: normally one with the EF-S 55-250 plus Canon adapter in one side section (lens pointing down), 2 lenses in the middle, and on the other side a 2nd body with the EF-M 18-150 or 55-200, or a short lens. If I use a short prime lens on that body then two more lenses will fit below that second body. The two outside (unpadded) pockets hold a Kenko 1.5x SHQ teleconverter for the (EF-mount-modified) 55-250 and the 22mm f2 pancake lens. The 'net' pouch in the top of the bag holds lots of batteries, lens cleaning tissue, and spare SD cards, and the front 'pocket' holds 2 67mm filter cases plus some step-up rings for when I shoot infrared. Sometimes that middle bag section will hold a third camera instead of 2 lenses -- a full-spectrum M200 with either the kit 15-45 or the 18-150 on it. Amazing that such a compact bag can hold 3 bodies, 6 lenses, a TC, filters, and batteries and still be light enough to bike with. Long live the M system!

    The M series is such a bad after thought from Canon to try compete with the other mirrorless brands.
    I doubt we will see any more M series. Even the most recent RF-S lenses are just horrible, in terms of the aperture size.

    • @markwiemels
      @markwiemels  2 года назад

      I think, rather than an afterthought, it’s just a different target market, it’s really aimed at budget conscious beginners. So many of the lenses are very inexpensive, and the cameras don’t get updated as frequently or get the latest tech. They do seem to have switched focus to the RF mount now.

    • @kwangc6720
      @kwangc6720 2 года назад

      I think even for beginners and budget conscious photographers, they are more attracted to the Olympus, Fujifilm and even Sony cameras.
      Personally, I feel it makes more sense as well. When I first looked at the M lenses being produced by a Canon, I had a bad feeling it was a quick afterthought to compete with the other brands. I just find it very hard to accept an APS-C sensor camera fitted with zoom lenses of apertures that go all the way to f/6.3!
      Canon and Nikon were precariously staying on too long in the DSLR camera market. So the Canon RF series is a welcome and big relief for me that they are still moving!
      I am not sure of the RF-S lenses though. The kit zoom lens they are selling now has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 29-72mm with a horrible aperture range of f/4.5-6.3! Seriously Canon??!?

    • @markwiemels
      @markwiemels  2 года назад

      @@kwangc6720 I believe we will see more RF-S lenses. Certainly Sony and Fuji have the most attractive APS-C offerings at the moment, for lens selection and over all support for the mount.

    • @kwangc6720
      @kwangc6720 2 года назад

      @@markwiemels yes we wait for that to be seen. However I am quite skeptical.
      I have a feeling most of the RF-S zoom lenses in the pipeline will be of the f/6.3 and f/7.1 variants which I totally cannot accept. We have seen that happening in the M series.
      I used to have EF-S lenses. After the excellent old EF-S 17-55mm lens, there were no more good fast EF-S zoom lenses.
      The plan Canon has for their non-FF cameras seems to be that of portability over quality lenses so maybe that’s why.
      But I feel most would rather go totally light (use their cellphone cameras) or become serious in photography. Churning out APS-C cameras with small aperture lenses is questionable. I’d rather go to Sony or Fujifilm.
      I really like the latest R10 camera. But seeing the kit lenses that come with it, I’m not hopeful. I think getting a full frame R series camera makes more sense. For now at least.
      I hope to be proven wrong. I’d love to see an RF-S 35mm equivalent of a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens eventually. But like I said, I am extremely doubtful of that happening.
