That last six miles up the north control road (and past the winter gate) is one seriously kick*ss tough climb! Fact you did it on a skinny tire gravel bike without bailout gearing -- kudos! Did it a few weeks ago myself riding out of Mesa into Florence and down Barksdale (great gravel) onto Willow Springs and through Oracle before getting on the control road up to the fire station. Best part of the ride were the epic views, that fun blast down Mt. Lemmon into Tucson and the ice cold tasty beverage that I enjoyed once I finally got off the bicycle itself. Keep making video's and truly glad you did this epic ride and conquered it!
Your vids truly inspire and make me want to come and enjoy. Would you consider possibly putting together a vid for wannabe winter trainers in Tuscon, lining out some of what you consider the best spots to run or ride for flat work, hill work etc, with consideration to safest places to ride and run. Thanks again for taking us along.
@c Fisher thank you so much for watching 🙏🏼. Yes we are always planning our next move in terms of video content so you're feedback and ideas are awesome 👍🏼.
Wow - I'm moving to Tucson next year, and now I can't wait lol. I was worried about Tucson not having enough variety in cycling routes as SoCal, but I'm finding this to not be the case. I did the Cedar City BWR as well, that was an awesome route....so much fun until the sand climb lol.
This crew . . . Glad you made it home safe. Crazy journey. Can't believe you guys did that. Great video Heather! 👌
@Matt thank you so much!!!! Wattie crushed this one!!! Appreciate your continued support!
