Nicely done. I tried this route last year when it was hot. Reddington Road is a fantastic route. I was not aware of the black hills mine road as I was going to go through San Manuel (water stop) and cut up through Webb Road. N. Mt Lemmon Control road is special. I did a lot of training from Oracle to the top in preparation for Leadville two years ago.

Wild to see this via bike. My parents would long Sunday drive that loop around Mt. Lemon in the early ‘60s. All day Carry All journey.

That’s cool! If I’m still around after March 15, when it opens, I’d like to ride it again.

Thanks for the video. Do you have a Strava (or other) route that you could share? ...also what happened to the Garmin? I'm about to purchase one (830) but I'm divided on which one. Are they fragile or did it take a real big hit?

Did you change the gearing for this epic Mt Lemmon adventure?

      At the time I had the stock 40 / 10-44. I have put a long cage derailleur and a 10-52 on since...which I love!

@@stephenplays676 thanks for the reply. I reached out to Lauf and inquired about any future plans to equip a model with Eagle AXS and was told they didn’t have any plans for this option. This mullet setup would be ideal for me since I live in Western NC. Great video sir!! Awesome real world ride on what seems to be a great bike.

Very cool route! What size tires do you run for a ride like this?
