Arizona Trail Race 800 - Katie’s 2023 Race

- A mostly singletrack route, the AZT 800 starts at Arizona’s border with Mexico and heads north to the border with Utah. The route crosses desert, mountains, and requires portaging across the Grand Canyon with your bike on your back. The biodiversity of the AZT and the sheer number of miles on singletrack makes this route a special one.
Of all the amazing things about this, your attitude is the most impressive! Your super power? Inspirational!

Great job once again. Youu have had my respect since Yoyoing the CT Trail. I did Denver to Durango in ten day, and you just amazed me heading back to town and riding back to Denver. Great Job!

The physical and mental toughness is truly astounding. Can't imagine a more difficult place to ride, let alone race.
Most of the time, the beauty overrides the discomfort on the AZT 😁 That being said, it’s probably the hardest route I’ve taken on and I definitely had to be mentally prepared!
