Why am I tearing up so much, specifically in the end watching that beautiful group of nine women riding in together. Just awesome! Heather as usual, you are a beast with a smile of sunshine.
This video exemplifies the grit, hard work, power and excitement that IS the spirit of gravel. It also shows how important it is that women get their stage to shine without having any distractions from other non-elite women racers. Huge high-fives to Heather for just crushing it out there. With a lead group as talented as this one was; sadly, there can be only one winner but damn... everyone was in beast-mode and that is soooo kickass!

It was literally all I could do to finish this year, ( the day after the race started) - just now watched this and I too had goose bumps watching it unfold. Brilliant video, brilliant race - and so cool to finally filter out the other, unnecessary race dynamics. Personally, I will have more memories of the Rodeo Lab guys on WalMart bikes, but so very glad the women got the race they deserved. 🙏🙏🙏

I have to say, i've become such a huge fan of the ladies elite group, and to stand at the finish line after completing my 50 miles, and watching that group come down that straight was an experience I have trouble explaining to others. Videos like this feed into that fandom. I stayed for the ceremony on Sun and was all smiles at everyone that took the podium.
