Yep, but Orion Beach really wanted to put on a show. The only way you can be counted out it's quit making contact with the opponent. That's why Skorpios vs Tombstone countdown was so controversial. I think if Tombstone had fought with the 2022 ruleset it could had a deep run in 2021.
@@WHERE-IS-THE-LAMB-SAUCE Slashing weapons aren't all that effective against metal, but since these robots aren't all made of metal, the saw makes a great weapon for cutting parts of other materials.
Almost every battle Lucky is in, it takes 2 or 3 hits and immediately can't drive properly. There was always something fundamentally wrong with it's drive train design.
i'm surprised scorpios wasn't able to literally saw thru lucky, considering the conditions of the fight was literally perfect, nothing could have gone better. For a bot that has a saw as the only weapon, feels like a pretty weak saw.
Lucky's team were having the same problem as Bronco : TIMING. Their flipper had the strength and potential to get rid of ANYTHING, if they just would activate it at the right time.
Seriously Lucky has good design potential, but it's flipper is waaaay too short to do anything. It should take examples from Hydra and Bronco where it has a fork/platform to actually flip the bots. Otherwise Lucky is an overly complicated push bot.
Actually Lucky it's based on a bot called Ziggy which was one of the most successful bots of all time. The matter with it in the previous seasons it's that they received the approval too close to the start of the season, which made the bot to have lots of radio issues. Since World Championship VI that doesn't looks like a problem and Lucky went to playoffs that year. This year it's also looking promising and it's great that an old (and maybe outdated) design it's still standing decently nowadays.
Why does the judges' decision is being announced with such long pauses? There is no point to create any intrigue here. Skorpios dominated the whole battle and there was no chance that the judges would choose Lucky.
@@TwoLegumes yes, which is why I made the comment. Maybe some scratches were made but the opposing bot remained functional (aside from the damage the arena pulverizer did)
Can you not do the spoiler at the start when the vid is only 4min?
Right!?
I know right?
Agreed

That’s the comment what I have intended to enter also !
Lucky was imobilized long before the battle ended. should have been counted out
Yeah that would have been fun to watch..
Luckily, Skorpios kept engaging so that didn't happen :D
Lucky it went to the judges
Well lucky that saw does like no damage haha

The good part of BattleBots post is, you only need to see the first 15 seconds to know who won.
They should take off this first 15 seconds...
He should have been counted out much earlier: there was a clear sign of lack of control/mobility.
Stop to spoil the battle at start of vídeo.. its annoy
Stop using aluminium.. its alloy
Fight starts at 0:27

Kenny Florian: Skorpios trying to get around to the- (SPARKS EXPLOSION) ...side.
Chris Rose: OOHHH!
You should post Blacksmith vs Gemini vs Basilisk now thats a Classic
Blade did literally nout. More drama with sparks than damage
That saw can split your foot in a seconds. Of course those bots are made of strong metals such as titanium.
@@WHERE-IS-THE-LAMB-SAUCE Slashing weapons aren't all that effective against metal, but since these robots aren't all made of metal, the saw makes a great weapon for cutting parts of other materials.
These saws only look good because of the sparks but they really don't do much damage
sawblazes diamond saw was the only somewhat effective saw but even they switched it out for an incredible kinetic spinner axe
Why didn't Lucky try activating its flipper when it got pinned? It might've escaped if they didn't just stand there taking the saw!
1:01 WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?!
Why the referees didn't start the count? Lucky doesn't have any control sin 1:30 or before... It's cause it's not WD?
A bot needs to be immobile for 10 seconds before they start the 10 second count-out, which can't happen if the other bot repeatedly attacks.
^^^^^^
Scorpios the best robot beat anyone❤
I from bali indonesia.. I like batllebots 🙏

Is that sawblade made of a material that produces sparks instead of cutting anything? Because it doesn't seem to be able to cut through anything.
Why did they let Scorpious have a good saw on Lucky BEFORE the green light to start the battle? :-O
Fun Fact: Did you know that Skorpios invented the Hammer Saw not Sawblaze
Wasn't the hammer saw first used on Megatron, the smaller version of sawblaze?
it looks like a red pony in your pic
If Scorpios just let Lucky alone he would be counted out for immobility long befor the time was out.

I miss Skorpios' saw (not hammersaw)

Lucky should have been counted out. Bots have been counted out with more movement.

Weak saw
Why do these bot builders choose the most bullsh*t weapons to put on these bots. That saw does nothing.
