yes you can put this in your hand can sprayer or your own hose end sprayer.
The recommended application timing is every 3 months so if you have cool season grass, one application should get you through summer.
Warm season turf, whenever your dry season hits is a good time.
Florida, all year round is fine but definitely winter in south florida

Thanks Allyn I love you too. It was a great fathers day and having you as my son makes me proud and proud of you, Keep up the good work .
Love those Gilmour sprinklers. I had 1 and bought 4 more, placed them on a 4 port timer and created my poor mans irrigation system. Because my yard is so irregular in shape those things are easily customizable and do a fantastic job.
The science behind lawn care is insane and I love every bit of it. To get get a in-depth look at the chemicals and turn that into a liquid or what not to put into the grass blows my mind
As a recent new home owner in the first summer season without an irrigation system, I have been fighting the awkward shapes of the lot. I’m immediately buying this sprinkler... Great video as always.
nice thanks bro! 👊
“Stop short, that’s my move!” Love the Seinfeld reference!
Seen this video once before. Rewatched it again today. Had the wife watch it and showed her your sprinkler. Looks like it works pretty slick. So I ordered one. Will see how it goes. May have to order a couple more.
I grew up in Clearwater with Floratam, moved to arid Texas with Bermuda, now in Tennessee with TTTF. Each one is so VERY different, but your guide is a big help. I guess it is working--my neighbor asked for a tee time!
Did the tuna can challenge last year, once I knew what it took to get a half inch on the lawn every time I water, it greatly improved my lawn. Before I just guessed and the lawn would get stressed. Now, it gets the water it needs and it's been lush and green since then. It sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't. All you have to do is place the tuna cans, and the sprinklers will do the rest, all that is left is checking it and adjusting. But you can easily guess how much more time you need.
Happy fathers day, Allen! Spent mine mowing and admiring my lawn. Thanks for the "tips"! My knowledge has greatly improved.
Your neighbors aren't dominating they are emulating. Nice yard M8
Excellent teaching strategies. This will be my second year doing my yard. I’m going to be doing my soil test this week. By the way I love your videos and your store YardMastery. Each product has a video explaining how to use a product. That’s brilliant. You were the first person who popped up on RUclips when I was first learning how take care of my lawn. I’m so happy I found your videos. You make learning fun and give us novice lawn care nuts the desire to learn and the confidence to go out there and throw it down responsibly. Thank u so much.
I have those Gilmour sprinklers. Love the adjust ability.
I love long videos during the summer. Got to keep my mid- iron Bermuda in tip top shape.
Happy Father's day. I've been looking forward to this one. Thank you for all you do Bruh!
All your Lawns are so perfect. A credit to all your good work. Very nice Video!
I have that same impact sprinkler, might have to get a few more for when I overseed this fall! Trying to set myself up for the best success later on this year. Good advice as always, and happy fathers day!
Happy father’s day to you Allyn a great father and the father of You Tube lawn info/ entertainment! Thanks for giving me the gift of a video today!! Update, I wish I had watched this video before I ordered my hydretain!
I have never seen a sprinkler like that. thats amazing will def order one
Outstanding. I learn alot everytime. Thanks for sharing your experience.
That Gilmour is the Alynn Hane special! I love that thing - I was skeptic with my lower water pressure...but I love the adjustability of it!
I have a basically identical sprinkler to this except with a metal base. I LOVE it!
Excellent video. If Costa isn't a sponsor I am no longer worried about you quitting your day job. Man you have just about every model. Shoes and Sunglasses problem Hayne. Better than my Cars and Watches problem. LOL Love your work sir. Love the lifestyle and finally love the community. Thank you again. BTW @ConnorWard is a super cool dude, I have been messaging him on IG and purchased a hat from him. He got it out in less than 12 hours. Thank you guys!!!!
Love the Frank Costanza reference. Happy Fathers Day Allen!!
Happy Father's Day. Great video as always. Very good information.
Happy Fathers Day. Another great video. Just ordered those sprinklers as I have manually been watering by hand and it's getting frustrating lol. Thanks for all the tips.
The sprinkler adjustment is badass bro!
Just bought a gilmour, cant wait to try it out, thanks alan
Happy Father's day to you and your family!!! Loved the video!
thank you!
Happy Father's Day! Fun video! I have the same sprinkler.
Happy Father's day Al. Great job. Like a retro LCN video+
thanks bro!
Thanks Al! Happy Fathers Day Brah! 👍🏻🇺🇸
I’ve used that same impact sprayer -- very flexible and efficient. Other times I’ll just manually hand spray with a pistol type nozzle that varies the spray when squeezing the handle. It’s a good way to wind down the day with sprayer in one hand and beverage in the other or a good cup of joe during early morning watering.
Happy Father’s Day…
agreed, I like to hand water too.
Been using hydretain since last year, its awesome.
Loving the longer videos and podcasts bro!
That Gilmor Sprinkler is pretty nifty! Great map by the way. It's always good to have solid systems in place for many different things. Keep up the great videos!
thanks bro!
You are the best I'm following you from jordan
I am learning so many things from your video clip. Thank you so much 💓
Those green Gilmour sprinklers are so great. It allows you to place the sprinkler right next to your neighbors yard and get little to no water in their yard.
Happy Father's day to everyone, even the grass Daddy's 🤣🤣.
I have the same exact sprinkler with basically the same issue , going up to high even after adjusting it, What I ended up doing ( it fixed the shimmying issue too from high pressure ) was I added 2 small camping stakes screwed into the back and another dead center in the other side with 2 small screws holding each. Works perfectly but that ring you lift up gets aged and cracked after awhile. Best sprinkler for my type of lawn though. Thank you for the video.
Hey Allen just wanted to say thanks again for all the great videos been subscriber for many years. Keep up all the great videos love the cool season manual. Happy Father’s Day
thank you!
You did it again...put out another great informative video. 👍🏼
I've learned more about my lawn manually watering than I have with anything else. Great video!
Totally agree. But if I was offered a free in ground sprinkler I'd accept in a heartbeat.
@@d27mcccarty for sure.
Happy Father's day Allen!
Another great video. Field trips are always nice too.
Best way to water the lawn without an irrigation system... "The Dad Thumb!!"
Fantastic video! I really enjoy watching your videos!
I actually put down some Hydretain this morning. I bought the small hose end jug to treat my main and side stages. I used a sprinkler to water in. Hope this stuff works! I have no irrigation but would easily see me buying more if it does what it says it does. Results hours later seem to be positive. Greening up quicker than the last time I watered without it at about the same amount of water. Maybe it's my imagination.
I follow your tips and I have a good healthy Kentucky 31 tall fescue I like it when people stop and ask me about my lawn
Those brick pavers used on your driveway and sidewalk look as good ad your grass. I would love to have that brick work.
I have the same sprinkler. Love it!
Love the drawings. I do the same, it makes it so much easier to visualise the space too and saves you having to work everything out again a couple times a year.
Allen... u are a wealth of knowledge.. I app u more than u know!
Great video on Manuel watering learned a lot also thanks for the hydretain computation eager to throw down the granular form after my next mow
Had to come back and look at this video for hydretain
Just ordered my Gilmour sprinkler.
I love my Gilmore sprinkler!
Happy Father's Day!🎉🥳🎉
thank you. i'm going to try gilmour since i want to water a swale.
Thanks for the great content, news letter, etc.
Bought one of those spinklers through the affiliate link. Much appreciated!
Thank you !
Good to have a couple so you can keep the settings for the area
That was a good old classic Allan video I missed them
thank you! it was fun to make it too
Happy Fathers Day! great video
thanks bro!
Thanks for the tips!
Awesome watering sprinkler
Bro, love your channel!
STOP SHORT!
Love a Seinfeld quote any day!
So glad I'm not the only one that caught the Seinfeld quote
love it! both my wife and my sons and me are huge Seinfeld fans. When we all get together, even now days that we live apart - when we get together, we watch Seinfeld reruns as a family. So much fun!
Saw this at Lowe's and Ace. I use a oscillating sprinkler because I want a rectangular coverage.
Thanks for the Hydretain tips! I have been reading and just pulled the trigger on some......
nice! spray and pray!
Well you know my name is Allyn and I like to do drawrings.
Solid video!
Throwing down the Hydratain on the water sucking, hot and patchy, stray cat, Park Strip...Rat (right) NOW!
Thanks!!!
This was great buddy. I’ve never considered doing any type of irrigation until recently, parts of my lawn are super heat and drought stressed that get blasted with sun all day. Just ordered one of those sprinklers and if I like it will get a second to make watering when needed during the dry season quicker. Thanks for the tips.... gotta always get the tip lol 👍
👊
Great video Allyn!
thanks bro! 👊
Very good approach!
I bought at the sprinkler using your affiliate link. Just got here. Just need it to stop raining in NJ to use it.
This was such a great video!
NICE Mr. Costanza/Jerry Stiller Seinfeld reference with the "It's doin' a Stop SHORT, and that's My Move!" comment!! LOL. :-)
Happy Father’s Day Hane
that is a great sprinkler! Keep up the good video's
Love your videos Allyn. You’re the man. Thank you for such educational videos. Love this channel. Humic acid is my go-to now. Love that stuff. BioKelp Humic 0-4-6 from Simplot is like medicine for the lawn.
Humic acid: Helps release nutrients in the soil - more readily available to the plant.
Improves soil structure - retains nutrients - doesn't leach thru as much.
Helps loosen up soil, air flow to the root zone.
Helps buffer soil pH. High pH.
Helps with root density. Root growth. Increases root depth.
Helps resist disease.
Helps with moisture retention. ESP with sandy soils in conjunction with wetting agent.
Love the stuff.
9:43 TOTALLY RIDICULOUSLY DOMINATING HIS POOR NEIGHBOR MIKE! HARDLY DOMINATING!😂🤣
Happy Farther's day man😊
If you're having trouble finding "out of stock" on this sprinkler including at Gilmour's website try Blain's Farm & Fleet in Rice Lake, WI. I ordered on July 1st received the item July 4th FedEx. $19.99 but shipping was pricey at $12.99. They had it, shipped fast, delivery was very quick even on a holiday.
Happy FATHER'S DAY Allyn hope you have a great one! 👵
Nice video bro! Great video!
Domination Line is on point Id say.
Good stuff man.
@5:30 "droarings" very English haha.
Thanks for the info, trying to get ahead of the inevitable drought season here in Central Texas.
To me the best sprinkler ever made if you don’t have an in ground is that little tractor sprinkler that follows a hose around the yard
Love you're content. Happy fathers day bro.
I'm going to start using hydretain because irrigation costs are killer. When decreasing my watering, should I back of frequency or length of watering? Like if I currently water twice a week for 20 minutes then should I switch to once a week for 20 or twice a week for 10?
Less frequent but water deeply.
Great video
The stop short!? That’s my move! Lol. Always appreciate the random Seinfeld references
Happy fathers day allyn!
thanks bro!
You get a pass today! Happy Father’s Day Allyn!! Great content
I shout you out because you are my FLA bro!
Most definitely appreciate it! I love that we have such a valuable resource for us FL boys!
I love Saint Augustine Grass
Us guys up in La Crosse WI haven't had to water at all this year. It's been a cool summer so far. I will have to see how July August and September fair. My grass is THICK and healthy and I didnt start the LCN way in July of 2018
👍🏻🙌best lawn guy
Allyn, you dress better to work on the lawn than I do to go to dinner, or course I only dine at places with drive-throughs. Happy Fathers Day !
That is the best part drinking beer then move the hose now I buy 12 then water my neighborhood lol.
The rain made its way to Indiana. It's rained all weekend, and it's forecast to rain all week. My grass is gonna be 6 feet tall by the time it's dry enough to mow. It's growing over an inch every 24 hours.
I've had to diligently mow ever second day for weeks to maintain the rule of thirds. I was supposed to mow today, but it never stopped raining. I had no idea how much work is required to maintain a beautiful lawn.
