Now, THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL VIDEO! 😅 For some reason, people are confused by this video, BUT, I do have prepared full material study tutorial videos on my channel! I covered wood, rocks, metal, hair, water, and bone, and you can watch them here: ruclips.net/p/PLSFPbn-VFHzsPDgiWrdend-IfwU6u32Ze ruclips.net/p/PLSFPbn-VFHzvbpsaByws1O_A-DXF4CbRi And here you can download FREE materials and Photoshop files for you to study and practice: ko-fi.com/ellasketch/shop Enjoy your studies! 🤓
Im looking all over for detailed step by step lesson(s) or a course on Materials Study (specially on/for Procreate if possible). I believe it is fundamental and extremely helpful and applies to everything done in digital art. There is a definite shortage, its slim pickings, when looking for detailed guided material study courses. All I can find is people showing themselves drawing materials studies but know one is focusing yet on it as a detailed guided course to replicate with narrative and provided practice sheets and so on. It is baffling. When I learn it I will sell courses on guided material study with separate practice sheets, and a focus on this topic for all art education. Having said that, this video is rather nice thank you for sharing, we need more on this topic.
Yep, I agree with you! This is something people just do for themselves for practice but it's crucial to know the basics of painting certain materials to apply it in more complex artworks and compositions. Anyway, I have covered some material studies in detail, as much as I could, they are made in Photoshop, but honestly, you can apply the same principles in Procreate. Check out my channel, I'm also doing more materials this month! There are also free resources and full PSD files with layers for you to download 😊 ruclips.net/p/PLSFPbn-VFHzvbpsaByws1O_A-DXF4CbRi ruclips.net/p/PLSFPbn-VFHzsPDgiWrdend-IfwU6u32Ze Here you can download free resources from the videos: ko-fi.com/ellasketch/shop

Great stuff ideed... but you don't showing us HOW you're making those. We simply watching a fast-forward recorded video, you're not explaining anything etc. Pointless...
Thanks! Well, this video is not supposed to be a tutorial video 😅 if you're interested in that, I have some material tutorials on my channel :) ruclips.net/p/PLSFPbn-VFHzsPDgiWrdend-IfwU6u32Ze and ruclips.net/p/PLSFPbn-VFHzvbpsaByws1O_A-DXF4CbRi And there will be more in the future for sure ;)

WHAT IS THE BRUSH PACKAGE NAME U USED? PLS TELL ME
I used @lucaspeinador free brushes and default Photoshop brushes ☺️
@@ellasketch TYSM☺
found gold... following this step by step
I don't know how I missed this comment 🙈 Thank you so much!
Nice work.
Thank you :)
Which brush is this? Do you have the file or it's specifics? Maybe on Google in file format
Brushes are default Photoshop brushes, the basic ones. I mostly used hard round opacity brush for adding textures and soft round brush for blending
how do you pick the colors?
I used references for colors! For some I made color swatches and color picked directly, for some I adjusted as I went through the process 😊
may I ask which brush did you use?
@lucaspeinador has these free brushes up on his website 😊 they're amazing!
@@ellasketch thank you
Nice, mmm will you create video with more detail explain about materials from this video?
