That was probably the absolute best use of "Sir, this is a Wendy's" that'll ever exist, the comedic timing of such a meme'd phrase could not have been better!
An animation depicting how this episode derailed would be GOLDEN. I can't stop imaging Bob and Wade becoming increasingly frantic and competitive with every hilarious combination of solutions they come up with, everything escalating while Mark just dies (of laughter) in the corner
I thought about this when I first listened to the episode but I actually checked this time after Wade said "This is a Wendy's": It seems like Mark really never specified that it was McDonalds, and I'm totally with Bob in having just assumed it was for whatever reason.
To be fair, I've never heard of Wendy's having problems operating the ice cream machine and telling everyone who goes in "sorry, our ice cream machine is down." Mark even made mention that "this time" the machine was working, so it's not a 100% guarantee, but McDonald's is notorious for it.
I guess I’m just an odd ball out because I knew it was McDonald’s because I’ve had the pumpkin pie before. It’s a seasonal treat they always bring out for fall, so I was surprised Mark called it new because it’s not new, just seasonal. That’s how I knew it was McDonald’s, so when Wade said “this is a Wendy’s”, I was like: they serve pies too?
5:24 "YOU!! SHOW ME HOW YOU MAKE CHOCOLATE MILK SHAKE" Im dead....im still crying from laughing...was just listening to this while working, caught me off guard so bad 😂😂😂
"sir this is a Wendy's." I don't know why but when I heard that line I just burst out laughing so much. I laughed a lot this episode, which was great since I don't laugh a lot.
The use of "Sir this is a Wendy's" meme is the best ive ever heard. Especially since its never explicitly stated what resturant Mark went to, its just based on context clues lmao
This episode is now my absolute favourite my god. I was having a horrible batch of anxiety in college then listened to this episode and crash my anxiety into a tree! (Aka, it made me feel better) And now, after another horrible day at college, this gave me the laugh i needed 😊
The "sir, this is a wendy's" was even more well played when you take into account that Bob said "wait i know the regional/district manager, Dave" since Dave Thomas was the founder and spokes person for Wendy's on all the commercials through the 90's.
this is potentially one of the funniest episodes we've ever gotten... i honestly straight up had to like cover my face and put my head down during work while i was listening to this and eventually actually burst out laughing.. 🤣
Idk, if people are going to be forced to wait for several minutes to get their order anyway (like Mark was), why _not_ take the extra 30 seconds to replace the chocolate?
I really did appreciate Bob telling us listeners his light turned off. Also, this episode was insanely good. Right back to the first few episodes.. and I think it's actually because they got Distracted for once!
the Ronald McDonald outfit & clown makeup, the Wendy Red Pigtail Wig & Blue Dress, the Burger King outfit including a replica of the King Head, the Jack in the Box Head & Suit, the Remote Control Taco Bell Chihuahua, the Little Caesar's Toga & Laurel, the Colonel glasses, fake mustache, toupe, bolo, & suit, etc etc you just need a copy of all of these Mascot Outfits in your car at any time so if you need them you have them x3
I used Bob's Fridge and this episode (Illegal Advice) to introduce my partner to Distractible. Had to give the best of the old and the best of the new. Y'all almost killed the man 🤣
I listened to this podcast for the first time yesterday. Literally made my day! Even better because I was on my way to work. Been so long since I’ve had a good belly laugh.
Ive worked at mcdonalds. It doesnt take that long to go into the freezer and replace the chocolate. I would have told them to please replace the chocolate
Thing is, if they have the standard machines, they literally only have to switch out a syrup pouch that gets hooked into the machine and it mixes as it comes out of the nozzle. If they make you wait anyway, there's absolutely no reason they couldn't have done that, it takes maybe thirty seconds to a minute tops to change if you suck at it. They simply didn't feel like doing it.
Little trick of the trade, they don't ask you to park to make it faster for you, they do it so they can get more customers through while your waiting for your food. Most fast food places has sensors throughout the drive through and they want your car out of it so it doesn't just sit there racking up time and causing other cars to rack up time
As a former McDonalds employee, sometimes the machine isn't broken. It is for a variety of reasons. Such as they don't have the syrup to make the chocolate shake. If the store breaks a record you get a pin.
5:23 I used to work at McDonald’s and I would’ve started crying while making it😭 this kinda happened to me, this like 30 yr old man came in from the back which you need a password to get into that we later found out he stole the password from my manager and he just stormed in and screamed at everyone “GET ME A ICE CREAM” we didn’t give it to him and he just got banned😭
they don't do shit for you if you work extra hard at McDonalds 😀 im pretty sure i only get occasional raises because my boss knows he can never replace me 🤣
I was at a Hardee's. I ordered a burger without tomatoes. When I got to my car I saw it had a big slice of tomato. I took it out and threw it at the restaurant door. It stuck and slid down. I got in my car and started eating. The manager came out to my car and asked if I threw the tomato on the door. I said it couldn't possibly be me, I ordered a burger with no tomatoes. He just turned and went back inside.
Mark, I think you could just ask them to throw some chocolate syrup in there for a delicious half and half swirl shake. It’s always a good compromise 😉
i have to side with wade, apple pie is great, BUT, pie with just whipped cream is wrong, you have apple pie and custard fellow brits will understand but for those who dont knwo Frozen custard in the US is nothing like British custard and neither is a flan or any other set custard. In the UK “custard" generally means a pouring sauce added to crumbles, pies, cakes or other desserts (often called puddings in the UK). The US equivalent would be “creme anglais “ or a vanilla sauce would be similar. The UK version is usually thicker. It really isn't an American thing. Americans would probably add ice cream or whipped cream to something like apple crisp/crumble but in the UK the choice would include custard and pouring cream.
Gonna be honest, I don't know if I have ever heard a better use for "sir, this is a Wendy's".
I almost died driving when I heard that. Second time since "farted in Korean".

"RONALD WANTS A CHOCCY SHAKE" is now my new favorite quote from Bob.
“WHO’S RESTAURANT IS THIS?”
"WHO'S CLOWN NAME DO YOU SEE ON THIS RESTAURANT???"
"THIS IS A CLOWN INSPECTION!"
"LOOK AT MY ASS RONALD WANTS A CHOCCY SHAKE!"
Yo before I heard bob say it I thought you typed 'coochy shake' like-
That was probably the absolute best use of "Sir, this is a Wendy's" that'll ever exist, the comedic timing of such a meme'd phrase could not have been better!
this is why wade has a secret following lmao
His delivery was on par too 😂
I like how Wade went with buying a hair dryer and STEALING another store's entire chocolate bar stock, instead of buying chocolate syrup.
to be fair mark did specify that it has to be unethical
@@rayshiotile9487 Nestle makes chocolate syrup, right?
Get some nesquick and call it a day.
"He didn't just get his scrotum gently grabbed by an invisible moster" Had me dying😭
The way this episode derailed really was something
This episode was awesome omg
Especially given the fact that Mark wasn't even going to do this topic and then pivoted because he thought this was funny
Perfect Distractible energy if you ask me 😂
I HAVE A TEN GALLON BUCKET OF WHEELCHAIRS
An animation depicting how this episode derailed would be GOLDEN. I can't stop imaging Bob and Wade becoming increasingly frantic and competitive with every hilarious combination of solutions they come up with, everything escalating while Mark just dies (of laughter) in the corner
I hope rather than animate ten gallon buckets they would just find one image of a ten gallon bucket

did wade forget the chocolate syrup exists? or did he just want more effort to make the revenge taste that much sweeter?
The 2nd option.
"sir this is a Wendy's."
I don't know why but when I heard that line I just burst out laughing so much.
I laughed a lot this episode, which was great since I don't laugh a lot.
I hear that joke often but here it was well hit joke
When Bob said, "Does unethical mean something else than I thought it meant?" I started thinking, "Yeah, wait, is this Good Bad Advice 2?"
"Sir,this is a Wendy's" absolutely DESTROYED me 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I hope they post the clip of Wade talking about killing God.
It was hysterical.

This episode was honestly hilarious. The way Mark was dying of laughter at the end every time someone said "a 10 gallon bucket of glue" was golden.
5:27 his impression of Mark _as_ Ronald McDonald is impressive
I’m crying with laughter after “THIS IS A CLOWN INSPECTION”

I loved this story. I feel so sad for Mark, not getting his chocolate shake.
I want this to be animated 😂
1:35 thats such a Keanu Reeves Yeah
I love how Bob was giving us his unhinged answer with his Grimace brand mic sock.
'We don't have time to replace the chocolate' is a bit of a cop-out because it takes like 30 seconds, but I guess I understand if it's busy

I laughed so hard up to the part where mark was already choking on laughing for so long. Good show guys. This is my new video to laugh and relax.
Now I’m just imagining somebody driving around with a trunk full of fast food mascot costumes.

Breaking news: California man, dressed as Ronald McDonald, harasses Wendy's employees to make him a "Choccy Shake".
I absolutely lost it when Bob said to "get out the Wendy wig and the blue-"
It's a crime how bob's part hasn't been animated yet.
Bobs clown voice reminds me of binky from the old Garfield cartoon
This is the most unhinged Bob moment
