I can honestly say. I use to paint automobiles prior to my injury. It looks so much easier to prep and paint a gun. Very nice job sir. I’m sure that took a lot of patience. Very nice indeed. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful! As a paintballer who plays Magfed, I tried doing a multicam arid type paint job on my TMC, however it didn't work out too well. So I thought about doing this, but with a base layer of FDE, putting tiger stripe stencils on it, and then going a dust of brown about it (I don't own an airgun unfortunately).
I have been looking at hundreds of paint your guns videos as I am considering painting one of mine, and I have to say that I like yours the best, TYVM, I just need to get an airbrush as that "effect" is awesome. Can't wait to try it. TYVM!
I did something similar with Vallejo paints since they are intended for military models. I got a nice Splitter pattern, which was a close match to the jacket I normally wear when I'm out in the bush.
Yes any automotive/truck bed paint or grill paint are all rated for higher heats and are tough as nails. I use the black truck bed liner spray paint on old rifle barrels that’s won’t let you use super blue
By far the best tutorial on this pattern. Question what airbrush? I havr one & mostly use model paints but never had success with airbrushing model paints. To get the black right i cant use a rattle can..thoughts?
i just want to say that it looks awesome, just from the first photo of the video. One observation, you kinda hold the spray to close to the gun in my opinion and that make the paind bleed and it can be seen in the result, but damn still looks good
i could use some tips about, how to make like a green gun, with the best camouflage, there still some hard lines on this gun, wich i like. But i like someting to blend in some bushes. like , any bushes
I know this is an older video but man I sure love it! I’m going to give it a try on a couple matching ar’s I like your color choices can you tell me the names of the colors please. ? Thanks!
That looks so good, I don't have an airbrush and am thinking about spray painting on the tape to let the over spray create the same effect. Have you ever tried this?
RadioSilence just use of instead of the darker brown and a lighter green instead of the tan. That will give you a green tiger stripe. Practice on a old springer or something if in doubt.
Looks great, now if I only had an air brush 😢 One thing I would suggest is to plug your barrel/cover your crown. When I painted my .22LR it took about 30 shots for it to hit accurately again until the paint was all worn off around the crown.
I’d suggest removing the inner barrel and plugging the outer barrel with toilet paper - same deal with the magwell, the space between the trigger/receiver, and the motor plate if applicable.
This looks cool and u may be wrong but I just think that painting like this could jam things up and make it kinda sketchy if not unsafe to shoot but explain if I’m wrong 😁👍
Nice job, absolutely stealing the idea of using Electrical-Tape Vs. Painters-Tape. Did you sand or wash the blaster first to remove leftover anti-moulding agent?
This was the best camo tiger stripe 🦓 I've seen for awhile now but now you have some competition from the guy doing this with dish soap 🧼... Tiger stripes 😍 are pretty but u have to remember you want your rifle to disappear with you into the bush... The tiger stripes although pretty, stick out more to me than the dish 🧼 method...
Hi, I’m thinking about painting my ak47. The problem is it’s a complicated paint job and it’s my first time. I’m not sure if you have heard of the game rainbow six siege but i want to paint my gun the black ice camo from that gun. Any tips on how to make it look nice and similar to the game?
Sorry for the late reply, but I don’t think that particular Camo is going to be doable without hydro dipping. I would definitely recommend looking into it!
Nice paint job! FYI If you paint your suppressor when you fire your weapon it will cook the paint on it leaving a smell for you to be detected. Happy hunting friends!
Yes, electric tape keeps its shape and is easier to cut than painters tape in my opinion. If you find painters tape works better for you though then go for it! 🙂
Miguelito Not necessarily. While disassembling the weapon will definitely prevent any paint getting in to the moving parts, it’s equally as easy to just plug the holes or mask areas off. No sanding or anything required. Paint isn’t technically permanent and with a simple paint job like this it’s important to remember it will most definitely show signs of wear quite easily
Depends really. The reason I used electric tape is because it is very flexible and sticks down well, whereas painters tape isn't as sticky and the edges might lift up, ruining the effect of the hard edge. You want a hard edge for the effect, otherwise it would ruin it in my opinion. Hope this helps!
Harrys Sidiropoulos just some regular spray paint I found at a DIY store and some clear coat to protect it. It will still fade over time though but if you like the battle worn look then it’s a cheap way to go!
@@RadioSilence I used some acrylic and got some trouble with colors blending.. I let it try 24 hours after every coat.. At the end I made it.. I made a post apocalyptic battle worn M4.
I've seen dozens of these videos and this is by far the best one and easiest direction.
Agreed and the workmanship is amazing.
I agree
I can honestly say. I use to paint automobiles prior to my injury. It looks so much easier to prep and paint a gun. Very nice job sir. I’m sure that took a lot of patience. Very nice indeed. Thank you for sharing.
Iv airbrushed car hoods and i know your pain in prepping lol working on guns is much more simple :)
Well done! Using electrical tape as a stencil is a great tip. I've got an AR I'm thinking about painting and you've given me some ideas. Thank you!
Beautiful!

Best looking paint-job I’ve seen on RUclips! Nice work bro!
I have been debating doing this to my Scar 17 that is all black. This is the first video I have watched that has pushed me to just do it.
You killed this paint job man.
I'm showing this to my wife and she's gonna help me out with this!! Nice video
I really appreciate the way you showed how to get some eye popping looks! Great job!
I'll probably stick with a primarily green multicam, but this is the most unique and nice end result.
the black on tan looks pretty good
I have been looking at hundreds of paint your guns videos as I am considering painting one of mine, and I have to say that I like yours the best, TYVM, I just need to get an airbrush as that "effect" is awesome. Can't wait to try it. TYVM!
Great work! Love the color choices and layering.
The airbrush is the key to a beautiful scheme !!❤
I did something similar with Vallejo paints since they are intended for military models. I got a nice Splitter pattern, which was a close match to the jacket I normally wear when I'm out in the bush.
nice paint job plus feed why good camera angles too i feel lile you deserve more subs
Doing it but with low tac masking tape from Amazon, you can rip the edges to get a better edge
Automotive clear enamel is the best I’ve used ..... 1-2 coats max no fade-away
Then it shines
Caleb Lynthacum you can get no gloss finish, and I’ve noticed if you do a final coat of regular Matte finish it completely dulls the shine
Yes any automotive/truck bed paint or grill paint are all rated for higher heats and are tough as nails. I use the black truck bed liner spray paint on old rifle barrels that’s won’t let you use super blue
You did a awesome job on that rifle... that airbrush did the trick
Awesome job, it looks great!
By far the best tutorial on this pattern. Question what airbrush? I havr one & mostly use model paints but never had success with airbrushing model paints. To get the black right i cant use a rattle can..thoughts?
It looks like the reptile camo from call of duty modern warfare (i like those camos)
Yeah it does haha
Awesome job. I was wondering what paint color you use any help would be appreciated thank you
i just want to say that it looks awesome, just from the first photo of the video.
One observation, you kinda hold the spray to close to the gun in my opinion and that make the paind bleed and it can be seen in the result, but damn still looks good
This looks absolutely phenomenal
Easiest tiger stripe diy ive seen nice vid
i could use some tips about, how to make like a green gun, with the best camouflage, there still some hard lines on this gun, wich i like. But i like someting to blend in some bushes. like , any bushes
you have done a perfect paint job so i liked the video, i will sub!
This came out so good! Thanks for the tutorial!
Reptile camo looking great
For those without an airbrush, I wonder how effective the sponge method would be for the shadowing
It has a cool efect :) or with a rag gently rub the edges or even a smol paint brush wil also work
Do what grafiti artists do and put the core of an empty Bic pen on the end of your spray paint can
That is really nicely done.
Try holding the can back farther next time. Much more even and efficient coverage
I know this is an older video but man I sure love it! I’m going to give it a try on a couple matching ar’s I like your color choices can you tell me the names of the colors please. ? Thanks!
How do you prep it before paint? Do you remove the internals or block all holes up? Also do you give it a sanding?
Please make some more vids wow this is great new sub here thanks.
Can you make the same gun but with black stripes on a green background?
Wow ! It's beautiful. What are the RAL codes of the paints you use? My guess its Ral codes 1013, 1014
That looks so good, I don't have an airbrush and am thinking about spray painting on the tape to let the over spray create the same effect. Have you ever tried this?
did you try that technique ?
Beautiful , very very good work 😉👍✊
Use painter’s tape instead of electrical tape, cut it with scissors.
Less sticky, and easier to peel off
Gun looks great 👍 The music reminds of a facebook video of a young girl baking cupcakes for her daughters birthday party👎🏻
Going to do this color scheme in green in the summer on my 303 british. Im doing winter camo right now
Subbed, absolutely helpful!
Now, should I take my gun apart?
i'm scared that the paint will get in places where it not belongs
I didn't take mine apart! Just make sure to thoroughly plug every hole or gap where paint could get in and you're all good 🙂
RadioSilence just use of instead of the darker brown and a lighter green instead of the tan. That will give you a green tiger stripe. Practice on a old springer or something if in doubt.
Take the bcg and charging handle out then cover any laser, light or optics no paint got in-between the upper and lower for me
It looks really good
Looks great, now if I only had an air brush 😢

I have an 80% aluminum receiver. Do you think the paint adheres well to the aluminum?
Do I need to take out any screws, or cover up anything on the gun with masking tape, so it doesn’t ruin it?
what color paint do you use...i know your first coat is base coat... what color paint is you base coat and what color are the rest?
You did a awesome job
didnt mask off the mad well or dust cover...light lens?
This is really handy to know, just curious if you'd have to sand it first or what
Nope do not sand or prime NOTHING just mask off and paint
Do you have ukara? Because I don’t I’m not 18 yet so I think I’ll make use of two tone blue and paint it like a union jack
This is a very nice 👌 👍 job. Looks damn great 👍.
This gun looks amazing I've already started mine what tape did u use thanks
Electrical tape
This looks cool and u may be wrong but I just think that painting like this could jam things up and make it kinda sketchy if not unsafe to shoot but explain if I’m wrong 😁👍
How exactly? If the bolt is covered everything should work as normal
Cool technique, thanks for sharing!
Outstanding Job and should go into business if you already haven't.
what are the colors of those paints 1st coat and 2nd coat..
I was about to ask the same question that second paint coat had a great brown dark earth look to it. Paint job turned out looking great!
How many colors did you use?great job
Do you have to take the rifle apart or cover anything before you spray it ?
This was amazing thank you
Nice job, absolutely stealing the idea of using Electrical-Tape Vs. Painters-Tape.
Did you sand or wash the blaster first to remove leftover anti-moulding agent?
Great work and video!
What paint did you use for the dark coyote brown type color?
Do gun metals require a coat of primer?
Lol the diy music while he paints his ar
Which airbrush are you using in this video? I'm shopping them now, not sure how much I should spend.
Very nice. I think they call this pattern "riptile"
Came out bad ass!!!!
Does the electric tape leave a sticky feel?
Fucking. Sick. Nice watch/band as well. By your style choices you are obviously a gentleman.

How was the plastic prepped ? Sand paper?
Nice video but which colors did you use exactly?
Nice paint job! FYI If you paint your suppressor when you fire your weapon it will cook the paint on it leaving a smell for you to be detected. Happy hunting friends!
This is awesome!
I tried it my ak 47
How did it hold up to the heat?
good job !!! very nice gun !!!!
What brand and colors did you use besides the black ?
Very impressive 👏👏
Very cool effect.
Does the electrical tape work better then painters tape? Curious cause i had a few spots with the under layer paint lifting while peeling the tape.
Yes, electric tape keeps its shape and is easier to cut than painters tape in my opinion. If you find painters tape works better for you though then go for it! 🙂
Is disassembly of the gun required or any degreaser or sanding necessary?
Miguelito Not necessarily. While disassembling the weapon will definitely prevent any paint getting in to the moving parts, it’s equally as easy to just plug the holes or mask areas off.
No sanding or anything required. Paint isn’t technically permanent and with a simple paint job like this it’s important to remember it will most definitely show signs of wear quite easily
What brand and shade was the base color?
What kind of paint did you use in your airbrush? How is it been holding up?
awesome, this really helps me out ! thank you
Would painters tape work for stripes?
Depends really. You want a hard edge for the effect, otherwise it would ruin it in my opinion. Hope this helps!
Yess it works well i used it sevril times makeing m90 splinter camo :)
Great job.. What kind of paint you use?
Harrys Sidiropoulos just some regular spray paint I found at a DIY store and some clear coat to protect it. It will still fade over time though but if you like the battle worn look then it’s a cheap way to go!

What laser system is that?
What colors did you use?
What paint did you use with the airbrush?
Why did you use electrical tape versus actual painters tape?
Electric tape is less likely to peel at the edges and is easier to wrap around surfaces that aren't flat
Looks great.
Did you sand anything?
awesome job !
Is it safe to paint it just like that? will that break or..
As long as you cover any holes so paint doesn't get into the internals you're all good. If you're working you can dismantle it though
@@RadioSilence Aight thanks
Great video top job
Well done
