Maurice had more cards up his sleeve than we were aware of... Falsetto and a great singing voice...full of laughs...Pratt falls and logic..respect and love for his brothers...and oh that shot of he and Andy brotherly loving kissing each other...so sweet.
So many of Maurice's high harmony parts get credited to Robin. Maurice was totally underrated.
Yes, I was surprised after seeing a few of their videos where it was actually Maurice leading.

Barry ‘s son Stephen was close to Maurice and this was a favorite song of his uncle. He and Spencer( Robin son) got a matching tattoo of a fedora 🎩 and the word MO on their arm a few days after Maurice died.

Maurice was a truly underrated singer is often remembered as such. He was indeed The Man in The Middle of a legendary band. He should have sung lead more. He would have been a great country singer as well. He had a super voice.

2 yrs ago I saw an interview from the 99s where the BeeGees sang a capella. I had heard "How deep is ur Love about 5,000 times. But, when I heard it a capella, and heard Maurice's 3rd part harmony in the chorus, the "vocal chord" the 3 brothers sang, it was so beautiful that it made me cry!
After seeing that show, I started searching for Maurice Gibb. He had a lot of songs that didn't really get played on the radio, but, they were still beautiful songs because Maurice had a beautiful voice!
My voice teacher had told me that some singers have such perfect pitch that u don't always hear the seperate voices, u hear the combo of the singers voices. And, families singers voices match the best of all singers. (Which is part of the reason's the BeeGee's songs were so amazing.)
Search Maurice Gibb. There r all sorts of songs we've never heard. A lot of people didn't know the BeeGee's last name was Gibb. (Some people didn"t know that Andy was the younger brother of the "Brothers Gibb.")

He was for the most part the man in the middle. He didn't get as much praise as Barry and Robin did. Beautiful voice Rest in Peace Maurice.

Hello to all! Lately, ive been very reminisant of my younger days and listening to a lot of BeeGee songs. I guess you can say that i began to appreciate The Brother's Gibb as a young teen. Then, as the disco era approached and i neared young adulthood, their music became my right of passage into becoming an adult. Back then, i loved disco and the BeeGee's ARE disco to me. I loved and love everything about them then, and even more so now. They were a wonderful family, all gifted with wonderful voices and a unique sound that i appreciated very much. In fact, they were all unique yet the same in their own special way if you know what i mean. Until i found these solo songs by Mo, ive been wondering what he sounded like as he's always seemed to be contented to be the third bro in the background. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to finally hear his voice, and loved what i heard. He sounded like the extremely sweet one to me, while Barry was the sexy one in my opinion, and Robin the strongest singer to me. However, when they blended their voices together, in my opinion i can only think of perfection. And of course i loved Andy too who was special all in his own right. As i find clips of Barry, now about 70, im impressed how humble he seems to be. They'll always be my favorite group as they definded the era in which i matured, and i guess that ive been nostalgic lately of my youthful self. I'll always love each bro in their own unique way, yet equally. As a family of singers they complimented one another perfectly. I wish i could go back just for a little while and appreciate them all over again, only with the mature mind i have now. Love always to Barry, and R.I.P. always to Andy, Maurice, and Robin. ***Heavy sigh***!

And of course we all know that he was the peace-maker...and because of that, the very GLUE that held tight the Brothers Gibb!!! Well done , Mo!!! We'll always love, appreciate, miss and remember you...precious angel!!
