man, I hope you are doing well and some happy real life commitment stopped you from posting here and nothing bad happend. thanks for all your content in the past. I really appreciated everything you tought us.
Not just great Rust content but seriously high quality scripting, voicing, and editing from someone who understands how to teach more than just how to show off what you've done. You set the bar very high.. Keep it up man.. You deserve far more attention.
Really appreciate you and your channel as I do enjoy all your building quirks. But when it comes to some of the best builders in rust you are one of if not the best. Reason, you fully test and use your own designs in real wipes. Finding flaws then improving upon them. Given enough time your designs will become The meta. Keep up the incredible work we’re counting on you!
love the theory,, not convinced on roof tiles on roofs but appreciating the modularity and consideration of base architecture effect on wipe overall.. very underrated approach
I've been building the God Bunker for many wipes, and thanks to your instructions (15 triangles out update), it's still fully functional. I am definitely going to adapt this building idea!! Thank you as always, I seriously don't eagerly await any videos more than yours.🖤
I'm using these modules on a solo/duo server with my friend right now and these modules are a god send! Will definitely be implementing these on all upcoming solo/duo wipes. Much love G Lightz, keep up the amazing content bro
Finally base design i can build without watching building tutorial 10 times before i get i right. Perfect idea and freedom to build it how it fits best for your needs. Definetly will try this upcoming wipes!
just discovering Rust and I've fallen completely in love with both your building design ideas and your approach to video making. Kudos man. Hope you're doing good and doing well!!
@@dtk673 he is a RUclips content creator that was specifically targeting base building in Rust. He made very informative and cutting edge (at the time) videos about realistic bases that a lot of people used as references for their wipes for about the 4 years he was active. He stopped making videos about 2 years ago because he started a family if I recall correctly.
It's a really great chute, really good stabilty too since you got frames/doors inside between the two triangles. And with the roof idea, you can attach it to any base, regardless if the footprint fits :>
Heya Gamelightz, I'm new to rust & your content and I wanted to express how I feel like I'm learning from a master teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge ✌️
GameLightz this is literally the right way to go for the roof! Build out the outer tc`s to 6 triangles and pipe with a smart switch one big box from main with one box outside. Controlled from outside with rust+ and you get your "offline" or "roaming" protection very cheap 24 rockets more expensive. Thank you for sharing the awesome design!
Honestly a very brilliant idea. Me and my trio personally like more “advanced” builds as it’s more fun for us, but I definitely wanna try and incorporate this into one of my designs😊
Just started to try and get more advance at my building in rust and you 100% deserved a subscribe o have learned so much about building and different ideas just from a couple videos
Very worthwhile concept to cheaply add height to your shooting floor aswell. A problem I've ran into several time with my more chunkier bases is that the shooting floor is at the 3rd floor, barely looking over the high external walls.
I always get annoyed when I have to farm so much and so quickly so the roof is protected. This is exactly what I was looking for! Do you struggle at all taking heli with this though? Do the doors get destroyed a lot?
The doors getting destroyed in the modules I use is not such an issue since anything good will be more protected. But yeah anything stone can die to heli if you're taking it with 2 sars :>>
you’re by far my absolut fav building youtuber. I usually play duo/trio so your bases carried me many times. Irl friends are planning a wipe with a bigger group, maybe 5-6 people and I wanted to ask if you have a design I can abuse for inspiration keep it up youre the goat
No longer playing but if I was and building roof peaks, can't beat the value of these. Even seem decent for taking heli from roof as emergency place to jump into to avoid rockets.
Made The Temple V2, with a pixel gap bunker from The Throne, and incorporated a God Bunker into the jump up. Pixel gapped TC, God Bunkered Hex Core, 3 Freehand Floating Honeycomb Bunkers, all on Console Rust. Now I need to add this into my builds! I generally use the “One Man Army Gatehouse from your Gatehouse video. Thanks for all your hard work and videos! I spend hours on build servers messing with mechanics of Rust cuz of you haha.
I’ve had the Throne raided multiple times and they have never gone after TC, most raiders go through the Armored visible wall, then turn left through the door, most raids stop after the workbench loot room on level 2, which I keep filled with junk and have my loot spread throughout the other areas of the base.
Gamelights my savior once again. My base has been lacking "outer peeks" for the longest time and quite frankly im not sure how to build them. Watch your video and poof perfect peeks!! I think this might be wipe saving. As of now each of my 4 teammates has a separate tower bed that connects perfectly to my roofs. Cant even fall through them if you try!
Also you can add a funnel super easy to designs like this. Ive been messing with a split core design, But to do a funnel its just a triangle infront with a square on each in front of the doors.
Such a helpful tip! I look at all these builds from other creators and they’re cool and all but they’re lacking the functional strength and practicality of your builds. Since discovering you, I’ve built nothing but iterations of the Grail and now the throne. Looking forward to your throne V2 that you teased in your rust footprint technique video!! Keep setting the solo/duo/trio meta baby! ❤ Glightz
I would do this, if I have chad(s). But a slightly different version of your luxury Mini-Chad-Shed V2, with the airlock side mostly wooden and a wooden door (at least early-mid wipe), and some roleplayer elements on the window frame before the airlock, seems to work really great. People who have boom, will chose other bases, and people who can only do eco-low raids, give up. I've experienced in one wipe, the wooden door gone 2-3 times. The last time, they probably got hit hard by the 4 shotgun traps lol. One time they tried to raid through the top door, which was also wooden. They were met with a garage door instead of sheet metal. But you do have a fair point, that people will avoid this base a bit more, unless they are in a raiding mood perhaps :)
i found the best use for this. since i no longer need a shooring floor. i can move the bedrooms in my 3x1 up 1 floor and add a farm layer now. ez cloth and all.
Mr Gamelightz i have been wondering why you never build bases with a shell, can you please enlighten me? I experienced that having a good shell with autoturrets makes it incredibly easy to seal over and over again until raiders have no boom anymore.
Mr Martin! I only ever get offline raided, so while a shell makes sealing easier (situationally), it also massively bloats the cost of the base and thus reduces cost-efficiency. It makes the base wider, meaning the shooting floor has to be made wider, etc.
3:02 Also consider clipping something like industrial lights into the wall on the roofs inside the base. Then the grubs will be clueless as to why they can't place twig and it's unbreakable!
3:06 . place and industrial merger or/and splitter on your roof , pipe it all the way down to the ground all around your base. then its undestructible, and cheaper.😋
GLightz, awesome video as always. Could we please get a video on the pros and cons of a compound wall? I like the compound but I always feel like I get raided more when I have one. Grubs sometime seem like a better defense than turrets. Would really like to get your opinion and what you have seen work and not work. For example, are furnace walls worth it? Funnel wall vs reg compound? etc.
Great video but jm desperate for an updated throne build, struggling to implement all the latest upgrades to it like these modules and the pixel gaps within them using the technique from your previous video. Really like this technique. What would you recommend if I have my roof access on the side of the base, meaning that a full encapsulation with slanted roofs are not possible?
Move the roof access:) Roof access on the side of the base isn't great in any case since it's easily compromised in a straight on raid. I try to have most of the chutes in my designs be behind 2 walls
In a trio server it's the best thing ever cost wise, but if you're raided by a larger group you are just asking to be HVed with 1 peak per side. Actually super smart for a chill wipe with zero willingness to farm. Thanks
