I agree with Will. It impressive to fit all that goop in a small space, but I would need a bit more protection to insure my wipe wasn't ended over night. A base like yours looks like an easy raid and attractive because a seasoned player obviously bult it. The items your putting into it are no small issue either. Several come from contended areas that will gain you a few enemies along the way. Most of your loot is in one spot. This is a recipe for disaster. There is also a bunch of angles a potential door camper could get the jump on you. This would make it really difficult to know where your enemy could be hiding. The low profile look is much better accomplished with a 2x1 or a 2x2. There are so many of them that it appears more innocuous. Not only that but they are easy to build, which enables you to move loot quickly. Instead of a do all base your better off having several small bases that don't set off any alarms to their appearance. Great editing on the video though. It was really fun to watch.
No kidding, man. This guy's editing is appealing, and the comedic relief is pretty funny. I might play Rust for the first time in years to make this base.

The "clan base" duo tutorials are for online raid defence, people who pvp more / fight bigger groups, people that play to get online raided, not for people that are only planning on filling 10 boxes and running 3 furnaces in a whole wipe.
Bro I live in a 2x2 with 2+ homies then we just pvp and just don’t be shit and you can defend any base from a clan raid 💀 no point in a fucking open core and holding loot until it gets wiped
Yes this is great I’m tired of people thinking duos and trios should have literal clan bases when you can still get all the necessary items but a compact but effective base that doesn’t pose as a big raid target
Some simple things I learned about rust. Raiders will just follow your doors (your base is only as secure as the number of doors you have to the loot) Always ground your foundations. If a foundation is high enough for a raider to climb under they will simply nuke your foundations. If you build a "bunker" base you will get onlined. If you build an active raid base with all sorts of cool peak downs you will get offlined. No matter how good you build a base some a-hole has ESP/wall hacks after all Facepunch banned accounts 20,000 accounts last month chances are you played on a server with cheaters.
Truth, you're gonna get offlined, onlined and come across cheaters no matter what base you have. That shouldn't deter you from playing the game or trying new things though 😊
The best design imo is just creating a fake raided base. Go nuts, grief yourself, add a door with a different lock, block one enterance with a high external or barricades, put ladders on it, build a fake raidbase nearby. Nobody wants to risk the loss
The best I had built is a 4 floors base but the honeycombe of the 3rd floor is a hidden loot room with a sleeping bag. I got raided and all my components on the 3rd floor were intact. Hidden lootroom in the 3rd floor of a trifty scot like base is op...
Finally some sanity! Most of these expansive duo/trio bases I see just make me think "you are only going to get clans to think you are an acceptable target". Most of us are not good enough to do an online raid defense 3v8, to say nothing of less scrupulous groups that see a big base and think easy offline loot. Sometimes flying under the radar is best.
Excellent video and message. I’ve been saying this for a long time. To each their own in terms of fun, but to have fun in Rust, it doesn’t require anything more than a simple, uncomplicated base design such as this

this base would be very good if it uses a normal jump design up for more doors, a honeycombed airlock and a very simple shooting floor/ bed room... i would love to online this just because you blow 1 wall (from the airlock) and people are stuck...

Not to mention fully rebuildable (which is often not the case for these online bases) Guess what's the upkeep? You would think it's in the bullpark of 20k/20k right? Well, nah. It is 7k stone / 6k metal / 60 hqm (if you hgm up the pixelgaps than it's more, but I usually only hqm up a few of those). Is it excessive? Sure it is. Did I ever loose any online in it? Yes, I'm not aloneintokyo after all, but it was 2,5 hours fun without loosing much in the end. Did I ever got fully offline raided in it? Apart from the cheater no... Is it for weekly solo wipes? How to never get raided: build a role player base. Cover your base in signs and surround it in instruments and a pool. Dont make your base too complex but you can make it relatively strong but as long as it looks role play enough. big clans will pass up on it as a non-threat and solos and small groups aren’t willing to risk on the chance of no good loot in a role play base.

A God bunker at core or possibly a terrain roof bunker at the front door. Then the smallest shooting floor you can design. Even if it's just a small peak in each cardinal direction. I've built one before with a tiny mini garage (landing platform overhang some) that was also the shooting floor and computer station.

As a solo, this is also my exact focus when designing bases. Simple to build, strong, and the cheapest path to get there while still being large enough to fit the essentials and not hinder my movement throughout the base. I have two main bases. One that I use 90% of the time since it’s so damn cheap and straightforward to build. It’s great if I only plan on playing a few hours here and there. Another one that is bigger which is intended to be used if I I have enough time that week to play a lot of rust. I think the GOAT of all solo bases is my 2x1. It’s literally just a regular 2x1 with one extra triangle honeycomb. That one extra honeycomb allows you to create the cheapest 2x1 bunker base. Literally costs 3.86k stone, 200 metal, and whatever wood is needed for twig, door(s), and tc. I will say, from my experience, half walls in cores should be avoided at all costs. Half walls cost just as much as regular walls yet offer only half the space. If you made a 2x1 with a doorway it will cost you 2610 stone. A 1x1 with half walls and a doorway costs you 2760 stone. If you guys doubt me, go on a build server and find out yourselves. You’re paying more for less efficient space. Plus it’s your core so that’s going to cost hqm. Half walls in your core are mathematically not worth it.
I had to click this video. Last wipe my good friend playing solo had built a giant tower compound that cost 21 k metal every day. When he logged on he had to spend hours farming to maintain it. Eventually near the end of wipe he came to me and admitted that he needed a new design that was much smaller and more manageable. Rule of thumb as a solo if you can't casually maintain tc without compromising play time... then your base will play you.
Fr that one guy who wants to build a 20x20 everytime for no reason always be saying "oh thats way too small of a base" and we end up never getting enough loot to even fill the 50 loot rooms he made
just watched my first video from You. Followed by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th (3 shorts of these 3 builds). Will watch the 2x1 basic, all 3 options for this one and I am gonna show this to my friends. You got a subscriber already. Great work! Quality content

As someone who loves some good youtube-ing, this is incredible. The title itself is so smart, you couldve easily called this "the duo chad" or some other dumb variation but no, you made a statement, explained it, then segued into a base build guide which not only is very well edited, but also sends viewers to FOUR OTHER VIDEOS. Truly you know what you're doing. Keep up the good work!
Recently started to just make my own designs with what I've learned from tutorials and I was also tired of building a trio base that require 30k+ in upkeep everyday.

This was a really good video thank you actually putting effort into your editing
21k metal Jesus Christ 😂 hope that wasn’t vanilla
Putting carpets on the walls was the equivalent of lipstick on a pig 😂
She’s PuRrTy 😩
To end a Rust video with
"Love you"
Is crazy xD
I’m A cRaZy GuY 🥴
the editing and time put in did not go unoticed i subbed and keep it going, ive always hated base designs mainly 2x2 Gotta love freebuilding
Thanks man 😉
Now this.. This is damn honesty. Great editing, great design
🫡
Preach brotha! As a clan builder myself seeing solo/duo bases that are super expensive for no good reason is annoying glad someone finally said it😂
😉
Earned a sub bro, You had a simple right to the point yet funny video. Well done.
Dude your editing is amazing!
So bro your channel is sick man keep up the good work ur gonna be big in no time
🤓 thanks
I just found a god of cinematic editing!
😇
I give up building big base as a solo. Now I build like 5 1x1 all around the map, and I divide the stuff into these.
Just create a giant loot loop with the industrial system 😂
I like this style of video keep up the good work ❤
Thanks homie ❤️
Bruh the HBO quality production on a build video tho. Insane.
I’m blushing 😩
AMAZING editing !
I hate when you look up 4 man base design and people are making 7x7 skyscrapers that have a shooting floor with a parking lot inside of it.
Underrated channel
👑
This truly is the best rust video I've ever come across. Bravo!
1 hour later.. this was raided
Bro, was that you!? 😩
Love the editing style
🙏🏻
Very good i liked the editing and easy to follow. Subbed for more great builds ! 😁

Idk what it is about this vid but something just hooked me and made me wanna subscribe. Probably the editing lol
Probably the video’s hook 😂
This is the most beautiful base design video I have ever fucking seen.
😂 thanks
LOL to you trashing the literal base I've been using in the intro xD
Was just for the intro 😂 that base takes way more skill to build
Fr that one guy who wants to build a 20x20 everytime for no reason always be saying "oh thats way too small of a base" and we end up never getting enough loot to even fill the 50 loot rooms he made
This is a very well made video. I haven't played rust in months, but I'll likely use this next time I jump on.
Good luck 😎
just watched my first video from You.
Followed by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th (3 shorts of these 3 builds). Will watch the 2x1 basic, all 3 options for this one and I am gonna show this to my friends.
You got a subscriber already. Great work! Quality content
Okay, so the links in those shorts refer back to this video. There is no 3 unique base design videos. Basicly these are clickbaits. Im outta here.
Unsubscribed, unliked. Convince me I am wrong and I may change my mind.
I laughed so hard at the shotgun frame 🤣🤣🤣
As someone who loves some good youtube-ing, this is incredible. The title itself is so smart, you couldve easily called this "the duo chad" or some other dumb variation but no, you made a statement, explained it, then segued into a base build guide which not only is very well edited, but also sends viewers to FOUR OTHER VIDEOS. Truly you know what you're doing. Keep up the good work!
Nice editing dippster.
Why does that sound like a slur 😂
Nice freakin camerawork I love this I will subscribe also nice design
Recently started to just make my own designs with what I've learned from tutorials and I was also tired of building a trio base that require 30k+ in upkeep everyday.
Dude probably worked at Ikea at some point 😂
