      In the past they would have…but I genuinely feel they gave up on that show. You can say that about a lot of the videos they posted this year. Like where’s the A Football Life video on Warrick Dunn? Just sad man

      I grew up watching the pirate and that beautiful Tech team I will always say leach made me fall in love with football. I’m just glad our new coach Joey has that same outlook on football make it fun.

    I went to Texas Tech when Leach coached there... Those were the best years of my life, man Lubbock was fun back then. Those football games were awesome to attend.

    I was fortunate enough to see Air Raid in person for about 3 years when Mike was coaching Texas Tech in the late 2000’s. I was at the game in 2008 when Tech beat UT. It was an honor seeing Mike Leach and HIS team in action. Crabtree to this day is my favorite WR.

    As a 1993 Ŧech grad I understood why the university let him go because of how the Craig James son situation got out of control, but was glad he was able to bring back WSU from the dead since it validated he was a great coach. I was surprised he left WSU for MSU and I was curious 👀 how his system was going to work in SEC. May he Rest in Peace 🙏🏾

    Leach will always remind me of my grandparents who have lived in Pullman since before my dad was born. They were, of course, WSU fans, and would always have hot takes about Leach’s teams

    Air Raid for its fast QB development is now getting its love because everyone uses it. Before old school NFL was you had to do it one way. With Leach it was more than one way. Greatest Run was early 2000s when he had all those Seniors come in and pass for 4,000 yards for 4 - 5 straight years. Thank you coach for leaving such a lasting legacy

      5000 yards, towards the end he was starting to average 9.3 wins a season, recruiting had improved, consistently rank, wish he had gotten 2 more years but we imploded.

      I have no doubt that if Mike Leach had the talent of Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama or any of the big schools, he would have been winning championships. I am a Razorback fan, and it pains me to learn that Mike Leach really wanted the Razorback job. He wanted it going back all the way to when we hired Bielema, but the university passed him up for some stupid reason. I hate to think about the lost opportunity of what he could have done here.

      @@Michael-jw6et Leach's quirky persona was the best thing about him and why I love the guy, but I'm curious if that drove away bigger schools from hiring him. Another way I look at it is that the rest of college football hadn't yet embraced the air raid offense before he took the Wazzu job. As an Idaho Vandal alum who rooted for other local teams like Washington State, I'm grateful that he ended up in Pullman and wish I'd gone to more than one of their games. Rest in peace Pirate.

    I never was a fan of any of the team's Leach coached but I am a huge fan of him and what he done for college football and used to love watching his press sessions because you never knew what he was going to say lol RIP coach!

      Because an ESPN commentators son who played for him told his father an exaggerated punishment Leach made him do and the commentator threatened to publish the story if Tech didn't release him or something like that.

    He was a legend in college football. His scheme was revolutionary in the air raid. He had some serious scandals in his career but he did a ton of good for the game.
    Its a shame that it seems like the jab got him. But fans will never forget The Pirate and the game is better for his involvement.

      @@trevor8851personally i dont think the jab caused this death at all. but there is evidence of myocarditis in young people who got certain vaccines from what i saw. so i think the rise in young people having heart issues could be connected somewhat

      You mean he never resorted to the levels that the elite schools do to win the corrupted college football championship of the day. But he did innovate the game, made a positive impact on lives, did things the right way, and won a few ballgames along the way.

    The Patwots ran Mouse Davis’s run and shoot with more intelligent receivers. The air raid was another step of the run and shoot. That being said, this man perfected it and won games with low talent, and sometimes low intelligent players

    Texas Tech Board of Regents head didn't want to pay the great Coach Leach what he deserved, finally made to give in, later saw his opportunity to fire this great coach b/c of Craig Janes' weak son! Texas Tech football has NEVER had the same success since, I new it right when it happened. His team beat the whiny Aaron Rodgers who thought his Cal-Berckley team should be playing a better team in a better bowl. Coach Leach beat the crap outta him, 🤣!!!
