i went to miami in summer 2013. I remember driving around biscayne blvd and the 95 interstate. i really cant wait to come back. amazing city and the driving is insanely beautiful especially with those sunsets. If you havent been to miami i encourage everyone to go for it! its an amazing experience.

but in general it's a BEAUTIFUL CITY , one of the most beautiful in USA .

Hier in Deutschland ist jeder Tag einfach abfuck. Immer nur trüb, bewölkt, oder grauer Himmel als sei iwo eine Bombe eingeschlagen. Im Sommer ständig nur Regen und im Winter immer nur scheiß Kalt.

***** You should do some serious research first. Some areas of Miami and surrounding areas are like 2nd or 3rd world countries.
Like every other city, Miami has it's nice neighborhoods and it's not-so-nice neighborhoods. I hate people who generalize and say the whole city is one big dump. Just be smart about where you plan on going and you'll be fine. There's lots to do and see.
I'll move to Miami next year, do you live in Miami? How is it? Easy to find Jobs? Good weather? Give me some info mate! xD

I respect the fact that everyone is entitled to have an opinion, but some people just like to talk a lot of crap. Yes, while there are areas that you obviously want to avoid day and night, these are poor neighborhoods and are easy to spot if you're driving thru them, and there's no reason for you to go there, unless you go there to buy drugs. Miami has three basic areas, 1-the bad neighborhoods, 2-the greater Miami metropolitan area, and Miami Beach. Miami Beach should not be confused with Miami, two different animals. I lived in Miami for 25 years, and I can tell you that I would not change this city for any other. To make a long story short, go to Google Earth and compare the size of the N.Y.C. metropolitan area with the Miami metropolitan area. Miami 's is about 6 to 7 times bigger! Since Miami is in the Caribbean, you have coral reefs and outstanding scuba diving places, you have camping and Everglades National Park within an hour's drive from anywhere, access to all the restaurants you see advertised on T.V. (which by the way, are absent in N.Y.C) (what an advertising rip off for N.Y.C., and you thought you would have everything here), malls of every size, deep water fishing, and essentially, everything there is to do, except mountain climbing and snow sports.

It's better to say NEW YORK has it's own beauty and MIAMI has it's own beauty. The things that I don't like about New York is that it has too many people and the cold weather seasons.
Summer in New York is fantastic so many things to do and the city looks amazing with the warm weather
I use to drive from SW 42nd St. and Bird Rd. all the way up to NW 125th St. in North Miami every morning around 5 a.m. to go to work. I would work from 6 a.m. to noon and then go play in Miami. I was making beaucoups bucks and living it up. Great memories!

Wow! I'm moving to Miami on the 28th of this month from a small town in Alabama and I am hella nervous. I hope it'll be a good move for me!
+santonianone1 Don't worry, you'll be just fine.
In the same time, moving from a small town country side type of lifestyle to a big city with a fast-paced daily lifestyle could be a little overwhelming at the very beginning.
Take it slowly, get to know your surroundings, your neighbors, local stores, banks, employers, schools, etc. and you'll be perfectly fine.
Lots of hot chicks in Miami, and they love money as well... if you know what I mean...LOL

For me I just don't imagine myself living anywhere else right now beside New York city.
I just love the diversity, in New York , you are able to be ourself what ever it is.There are so many diverse restaurants shops etc , so many diverse things, but as you know it's pretty expensive to live here,fortunately financially Iam doing ok for myself so, I can handle to live here for now.
Houston has nothing over miami. Miami has that live energy I love it here

I'd like to live south florida after I graduate from college here in pa..don't hate pa..just hate the weather. Miami seems like a good city for the most part. Problem is finding affordable housing and living costs..plus speaking Spanish is a necessity it seems in south florida. Definitely going to move down to south florida though in the very near future. Any advice? Thanks..
Overall Miami is a pretty affordable city, though If the Spanish might be a problem for you, Miami's sister city Ft. Lauderdale is similar too it but with a lot more English, and less public transport
Yeah I mean I have family that live in west palm beach and it seems pretty similar to miami aside from all the Hispanic culture and what not. I'm a 100% yank so it'd take some time to get used to.

Try to visit Houston or Corpus Christi in TX or San Diego in Cali and then rethink twice your previous statement.
BTW Houston, the only major urban area where its entire downtown area is built on one-way streets and roads therefore traffic always moves pretty smoothly, you know, turning left from one-way street onto another one-way street, no green light required just wait for intersection to clear and no pedestrians on the xped so free to turn left, right?

Sony HDR-XR100 (model already discontinued by Sony) with an 80GB HDD and an additional 32GB Memory Card. Using it since March 2010 (bought it brand-new for $600 with a 5-year full warranty plan) and still runs beautifully, no reason to sell it and buy a newer one.
Sadly, you cannot buy any new HDD models on the market these days.
