yours is the only you tube or Google search that uses wc paper. will try it. but I want to make slabs to form projects. dried on plaster bat. have you ever done that?
Hi Allie, Please let me know if you’ve tried this! I am going to buy some toilet paper to mix with earthenware for sculpting via slabs/coils, not just for repairs as she’s mentioned.
@@gwendolynvandervelden770Hi, I fired them in a ceramic kiln! She was right the toilet paper smells horrible :) will definitely have to try her paper method next time.
To prepare the paper clay, I mix dry stoneware or porcelain clay into water until it is the consistency of thick cream. To this, I add paper pulp made from cotton linter (available from most art supply stores). I prefer to use cotton over recycled paper because it lasts longer without smelling rotten.
