I got the cpp front disc brakes I put on but my impala. I noticed that the disc is very hard to spin. Haven't dove it yet still need to do some stuff to it. I checked everything on it seems to be fine . If you have any ideas let me know or is yours like that to .thanks
Am I the only one that has noticed that both sides were assembled differently in that video? Look at the anchor pin spacer location from side to side, one is between the spindle and caliper mount and one is between the bolt head and caliper mount
@@lonestarlows at 0.39 just by your finger you have the big bolt that hold the caliper braket to the spindle you have a spacer/washer between braket and spindle. At 2.25 you can see the same spacer/washer isnt between braket and spindle ...but between big bolt and braket
I'm digging way back in your videos lol good stuff. Do you know of a disc brake kit where I can tun my stocks? I'm going with the all original look other than the ac and ls
@@lonestarlows awesome thanks, looks like they don't have a complete kit but tells you what you need for only $172. You can run 14 inch stocks or 13 inch daytons
Hey man , I'm in the middle of doing front disc brakes on my 63 .. im a little confused on the proportioning valve .. the rear brake line runs down the pass frame .. how did u hook up your rear brake line ?
@@lonestarlows I see the line going from pass to driver side . But it goes into the dist block on the pass side which has the rear brake line and pass front brake line going into it , so do I just connect that line going to the driver side into the prop valve then ? Sorry man just kinda stumped lol since that line goes to the pass front brake and rear brakes
Hey man nice work, I'm working on a 64 impala and want to d a drum to disc conversion, can you please tell me what is the kit you used and where you bought it?? Thanks a lot!
@@lonestarlows ...damn guys...i have the exact same kit that in your video ..and guess what problem i have ? Spongy low pedal as well..... What is it a complet kit as well ? With a 1 inch master cylinder and a small booster ?
The bracket is bent to push the caliper in board towards the motor or outboard towards the fender. Depening if you are using stock spindles or drop spindles
@@lonestarlows why ? what the difference with drop spindle ? why with drop spindle it has to move towards engine? and about if you cut your coil spring and still have stock spindle? does it matter?
Nice job bro, just one question what size of rotors do you have to buy to put 13” rims and tires?
Moving right along and looking good!
Classic Car Overhaul I need overdrive so I can. Catch up to you
@@lonestarlows where did you buy this kit from ?
Im enjoying this build..

How tight did u tighten the spindle nut that keeps the wheel bearings in place.
You down to share the link to your purchased? Thanks for sharing the 🔌 boss! 🤟🏻

hi again rewatching your video. at 028 can you confirm or clarify what you are saying about the the bracket and drop spindle ? thanks a lot

I was told you can use the original wheels with the disc brake kit do you know if that’s true?
Depends in the kit
Where did you buy the brackets or it came with kit
Kit came complete
Link to the kit ?
Can you post a link as to where you bought this conversion please. Thanks
Been a while, car sold
Will that kit fit 13" rims? If so can u drop a link where u purchase them.thanks
Get the abs ones clears the lowrider rims zero offset
U have any issues with inner bearing not sliding all the way back
I did have to use a little sand paper to clean up spindles
lonestar lows thanks brother I think we have the same kit
Are these just the standard CPP disc kit. I'm behind on some videos trying to catch up. Haha
The brakes are not actually cpp. They are just about an exact knock off version...they came with cpp instructions but no cpp labels on the boxes
Cool I imagine there much more cheaper than Wilwood’s front disc brakes.
@@balanis03 i dont even know how much willwood costs?
lonestar lows bit pricey actually the front disc drilled are about $850
Just the rotors?
What front springs did you use?
Stock springs to my knowledge
Who makes a 13" kit for the 64 impala?
A few vendors
@@lonestarlows point me in the right direction?
I bought 20s for the front of my impala...and I want big brakes
