This kit will clear 13" reverse wire wheels, I have installed over 3 dozen of these kits from Tom/Auto City Classic. Most kits with the 11" chevelle rotor /Gbody caliper combos will also clear rev 13's. You also can run 14" disk break factory wheels(gbody for example) but not the factory 14" drum wheels as you pointed out. As long as you're enjoying what you're doing , keep the videos coming...
I’ve been working on my 63 ss for a minute frame off I can relate to what you’re saying! I’m in the bodywork painting stage now it’s a lot of researching sourcing the right parts for the build it takes time and definitely money when you do the work yourself. At the end of the day it’s rewarding knowing you did all the work yourself. You got a long way to go but everything is possible. Good content on your channel For all the ones starting up on their builds Keep up the good work!
I messaged Tom’s Classics and bought and installed their kit for 13s. What is awesome is the calipers are WAY bigger than my Gbody ones and I can confirm they do fit with factory offset 14s or reverse 13s. Thanks for turning me onto Tom’s…
Man I felt that comment about running it how it is. As soon as I had kids I put my 64 in the garage to do the brake conversion. Fast forward 10 years and my son is now 11 and my daughter is 8. I am finally working on the brakes to get her out again. Honestly I was surprised you were Lowriding when I heard 13" wheels then I went back and read the title. Look forward to your finished ride.
I second the ABS brake kit. Thats the one I bought since I am running 13s and I wanted the zero offset. I am going to buy their power steering kit soon.
Hi, love the channel. Question about the pre bent lines. Are they 2 lines going across the crossmember? I got the kit and don’t get those 2 big lines ?
Hey thank you. I believe one runs to the junction block for the driver side, and the other line runs from the junction block to the passenger side across the crossmember. Hope that makes sense.
Hey Christopher, I’m actually doing a mock up video today of installing the front spindle parts. I’m in the process of making my frame a roller. So stay tuned for the spindle brake portion. Thanks for watching.
Hi thanks for the video, I have an Chevy impala 1960 it’s this kit clear for 114’’ original wheels cause I want to keep my original look, can you please let me know from where you got this kit? Also my budget it’s around there I don’t want to spend to much money if that can can work for me thank you for all the help in information and thanks so much in advance.
Nope not even close. It’s only a 7-8” diameter. Which is smaller than a factory power brake booster that came equipped on some Sbc 283,327 Impalas. Good lookin out though.
So what is the offset of your kit? And I was wondering if you mocked it up to see what it looked like with your reverse wheels. I just put a kit on my 64 and it moved my wheels out 3/4 with stock spindles. Trying to decide if its too much. Im running 14 inch reverse supremes.
Sorry I haven’t gotten to that part of my project yet. I believe that my kit is also 3/4 offset. A Zero offset kit is available, but it costs more to purchase that one. ABS power sells a zero offset kit. Hope that helps.
@@gemcitywelding7234 i already bought a kit with drop spindles but I bought it because online said offset was only 1/8 inch. I was like right on... but I get it and its 1 1/8. Major difference and nice typo online. Then the sent me the wrong kit. One for factory spindles like your kit. I have it mocked up looking at it....

Thanks man. I appreciate the support! Yep I’m a Lowrider lol.

Nice!!! I’ve heard great things about that P/S kit.

Bro I've been watching your videos I got to say you're awesome
I appreciate that. Thank you!
We’ll you do a installation on the brakes lines cause I’m the same boat for my 64 impala I bought the same kit as yours
I most certainly will, but unfortunately I won’t be installing them until at least spring time next year.
@@gemcitywelding7234 oh ok I’ll definitely be be watching you’re built thanks for the reply
Have you made a video of you doing the conversion? If not anyone know of one I Can watch?
Thanks

I purchased the kit from eBay. It’s around $520 American.
This kit won’t work with original steel wheels that are meant for drum brakes. Just a fyi
Damn cant find that machined caliper bracket, only the bent ones.
To the best of my knowledge, you can’t buy that bracket by itself. But… as soon as I say that, someone will find it lol.
Do you need new control arms to align the car for front breaks conversion
No, you can reuse your stock control arms.
Is the bracket for the booster meant to offset it? My neighbor was having issues mount the booster on a 64. He says it wouldnt clear the wiper motor.
At this point I would say yes. But… I haven’t installed it yet. But it would appear that the brackets do help with that problem. Thanks for watching.
pretty sure you can run 13's w/ that kit since they are a reverse wheel
Not this kit. I spoke with the manufacturer personally. It would require modification to work with 13’s.
That brake booster looks like it may be too big. It will hit the driver side valve cover.

@@gemcitywelding7234 i think 3/4 is too much imo. Just looking how mine is with reverse supremes. Top of tire rubs laid out flat
