  • Here are my 5 favorite mid-priced restaurants on the island. These are the places where Santorini LOCALS go out to eat. Extremely refined food and not too expensive.

Love your videos, and greatly appreciate them. I would suggest Thalami in IOA, great Greek food with stunning views ( for lunch or dinner). Kkokola in Fira if you are craving grilled meats ( no view ), and Metaxi Mas if you want an amazing Greek meal away from the chaos ( views optional). I strongly suggest calling ahead for Thalami and Metaxi Mas. Thanks again Sebastian for all your help!!!!!!

I'm glad we are going for two weeks. Gives us time to eat at several of your recommendation. Especially at those which require a car as there will be fewer tourists. Thanks.

Just came back from Greece. Cave of Nikolas was an awesome place for lunch. Their Greek Salad and tomato balls were great. It was the perfect spot for a rest after visiting Akrotiri and before hiking down to Red Beach.

Kalimera Sebastian! I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! I’m so glad I discovered your channel before visiting this beautiful island. It helped a ton!
Just came back from Santorini. A family trip with our 6 yrs old daughter 😀A car is a must in my humble opinion. Especially if this is your first time on the island.
We stayed in Pyrgos, visited Emporio, did a hike from Fira- Firostefani- Imerovigli. Enjoyed beautiful and scenic sunsets in less touristy parts as per your recommendations 🧡
Highly recommend the Cave of Nikolas! Beautiful place, delicious homemade food , good vibes and reasonable prices. We loved ‘The Good Heart’ in Akrotiri too! Bought some local specialties back home 🇬🇷We also found a bakery that served delicious food ( take away included) occupied mainly by the locals.
Santorini has so much to offer, you just need to explore a bit more to find it.
Your videos are great , insightful and very inspiring!
    Efcharisto para poli! :)

Pear Ravioli? Squid Ink Ravioli? Wow! Black Olive Spread? Delicious - No wonder these are best restaurants. Good info on what time to book before sunset - love details like that. Gonna be trying Fratzeskos, as staying in Perissa, though this has given me ideas for other places to go. Thanks

We went to Cave of Nikolas today and can vouch for the quality. The fish of the day and the Dakos was the highlight!

We could not find the Caves of Nikolas last night 😢 so we ended up at Dolfino (they were nice, but the food was only okay). We went to Kali Kardia today and loved it ❤

Sebi, we went to lunch at Cave of Nikolas a month ago. Although the food was good, I was disappointed to find that their famous Octopus dish was discontinued….

I am coming on a cruise ship. Are there nice tavernas, cafes, etc. at the bottom of the stairs in the Old Port? We hope to relax before leaving on a tender.

Yes, there's 1 very nice tavern at the old port, ideal for cruisers. I explain everything in this video : ruclips.net/video/IcU3n3Efmew/видео.html

How about for breakfast, authentic Greek food? Thanks

    • @GreeceExplained
      @GreeceExplained  10 месяцев назад +1

Greece doesnt have a real "breakfast culture" apart from Kayanas (scrambles tomatoes and eggs).
Greeks usually grab stuffed pies at a bakery (like spinach pies).

O'no eggplant, what's that! Simply question what colour is it, it's aubergine, hence it's called an aubergine 🍆 Restaurants over at Therisa are much cheaper
