    Man of many hats . So refreshing to hear someone talk good about Spark. I'm VERY new at this and most creator's on RUclips hate Walmart, so they don't like Sparking ❤

      Thanks! There's a lot of bias toward Walmart and as a corporation I don't care for them. But I can't let my own feelings get in the way of my goals. They are the best option for me to clear this debt and I can't deny how many people shop there.

      100%. That's why I share every time I make a repair to a vehicle. Those costs can break a driver.

    You need to go work for Walmart. You're so worried about issues that isn't any of your business. You need to work directly for the company as a manager.

    • @firststatedelivery
      @firststatedelivery  2 месяца назад +1

      It is my business and Walmart would never hire me at a management position. I think too much.

  • @darlataylor2054

    Yes, what products sell well on Ebay? I am interested in starting a store. I do need to know all about the shipping also, and how do you handle returns?

    • @firststatedelivery
      @firststatedelivery  2 месяца назад +1

      Returns: 30 days, no questions asked. I get maybe 2 a month because I fully disclose everything.
      Shipping: focus on smaller, easy to ship items to start. Buy yourself a stock of shipping bags, boxes and bubble wrap. A good rule of thumb is less than 1 lb. = $5, 1+ - 3 lbs. = $10, 3+ lbs = $15 ship cost.
      What products sell on ebay? Way to broad of a question. There's a market for everything. The most successful new sellers have a curious mind and research everything that catches their eye and outside their box. Once you develop a niche for yourself things will snowball.

      If I was a customer of Walmart and my Spark driver told me that Walmart was allowing dangerous people to deliver groceries and break into my house the first thing I would do was call Walmart and let them know my Spark driver says that you Walmart are allowing dangerous people on the Spark app. Walmart will notify Spark about this and you will be deactivated for something you have no proof that there are scammers.

    You said there were no alleged scammers at your store today, why didn't you get better orders then if there were no bots there today? I know you are going to say it was a slow day so how do you know the difference between a slow day or when the bots are used? Is it because when you see other drivers getting orders it must be bots.

    • @firststatedelivery
      @firststatedelivery  2 месяца назад

      There were none that I could see. I'll admit that I'm making huge assumptions. I don't know for sure that these scammers are using bots but when they're there it's terribly slow for the rest of us.

    Is there a point where your debt is not paid off but you stop the gig work because you could make more with your time working more on your business? Like at what point can u make more than $120 giving spark 8 hours and car wear by putting more time into business?

    • @firststatedelivery

      There is a capacity to the output of resale. With our facilities now, we are nearly maxed out. I will eventually scale back delivery and turn my focus back to Amazon. When I say Amazon, I mean the big 3 (Amazon, ebay, and Walmart). Today was the first day, basically this year, that I got to travel and source retail liquidation a bit. All of my sourcing this year has been online. I could stop driving today, go back to paying myself $1200 a week, and pay down my debt much slower. I am at least at the point now where I can chip away at debt if I were to pay myself. I'm shooting for October/November to make that focus switch and end my debt journey with a big 4Q. If all goes according to plan I won't be delivering groceries in December. In January, I'll continue delivering as extra cash flow when needed for Amazon and/or paying for extra stuff like home repair or vacations, etc. By next June I'd like to be in a warehouse. But this debt needs to go first.

    I work the Spark app too, but I don't mingle with other drivers in the parking lot. I'm not looking to make friends. Don't care what drivers, including the so-called scammers, are doing. I mind my business and focus on my earnings. That is what every single driver should be doing instead of minding someone else's business.

    • @richardconard9618

      Really don't mind anyone working that are following the rules like we do and getting vetted. You have no idea who these people are and is a definite safety issue for the customers and I have seen them keeping groceries in a hot van for over 20 minutes before they decide to leave and deliver so they don't care about the customers groceries as well.

    • @user-rz1un2sq1y
      @user-rz1un2sq1y 2 месяца назад +2

      @richardconard9618 It's not yours, mine or any other drivers business what other drivers are doing. The same can be said about safety or holding groceries. We don't work for Walmart. It's not our issue to worry about. Make your money and let Walmart/Spark worry about all their problems.

    • @firststatedelivery
      @firststatedelivery  2 месяца назад +1

      I understand where you're coming from. I like being friendly with the other drivers. The way my scammers operate takes money from my pocket and my wife's pocket. That makes it my business.

      Unfortunately, scammers, illegals, or whatever you want to call them isn't a new problem. Our country has had an illegal immigration problem longer than any of us has been alive. It's not going away and will still be an issue when we are all gone.
