In my opinion, there should be a weight limit on the types of things you are expected to deliver. Such as cases of water, 40-80 lbs. of dog food or TV's. That seems a little ridiculous!?!

I do Spark - almost 10 months now. I find it easier to shop non-food items then move to the food side to finish shop. I’m usually in and out in no time. The app will allow you to jump around on the list. I do more Spark over DD UE GH Shipt. I live around 3 Walmart stores. Once you find your groove you will find it a great app to earn on. Hope this helps.

I JUST started Spark and I LOVE it I don't take shopping orders I look at the incentives and they are always worth it around here there's always orders to be had even the bad orders are worth it with the incentives. I haven't had to wait for too long for an order...yet. With DD and UE I I was making maybe $20 an hr with Spark it is $35 or more.

Only the orders with a timer will affect your AR but don’t take crap orders .
and yes, you can make good $ with spark but you have to learn the strategies. Turn your app at the 20 mark of each hour for curbside pickups. At the beginning of each hour for shop and deliver orders. If I’m on an order I will turn off spark now till the 20 mark of next hour . Take your time to check orders so you don’t get stuck with 6 cases of water lol 😂.. love u mama . Thanks for your videos

When you say the 20 mark are you saying like turn it off and then on again at say 1:20, 2:20, etc… now do you know if and how to get more than 1 order at a time? Also, how do you do it off, do you sign out or swipe it off

    • @earthdaddy

It's not the same in all areas though. I get good offers at all different times, not just a certain time like 20 after the hr. It's best to just leave it on, really. Because acceptance rate means nothing, especially if all your other metrics are good. My AR is 2%, 97% on time, 98% completion, 4.9 stars, and I get great offers all the time still.

It’s gotta be hard to go from DD to shopping a full grocery order. I’ve done Shipt for 7 years and it’s very physical job. Now I’m very selective about what orders I accept. I don’t go large orders or heavy items. Also I won’t shop in certain zip codes. I try to stick with neighborhoods that tip consistently.

Once you get used to shopping and using the app it’s the easiest shopping app I have. It gives you the isle, sec and mod and I can go right to the objects. If you slide down you get a map and it will show you the area your item is in. It’s helpful for those isles in odd spots.

Another thing with Spark. I had a "Shipping" order coming from Walmart and got a email saying it would not be here till Saturday, then later that day a lady in her personal car delivered my order. I asked her if she drives for Spark and she said yes...sooo sometimes Walmart has Spark drivers deliver "shipping" orders...with shipping there is no way to tip and it does not ask if you wanna tip, she said her daughter has had the same thing happen when she does a shipping order...it ends up getting delivered by a Spark driver instead, I do think Walmart compensates a little better with these since they are aware there is no tip attached. Thankfully I had a few dollars in cash that day and gave the lady some money.

You don't have to shop in the order it tells you. You can press the back arrow and choose what item to start with. Need to save cold stuff until last. This is very important on big orders as they will cancel if you don't deliver with a certain time after scanning the first cold item.

  • @MichiganderGirl
    @MichiganderGirl 6 месяцев назад +12

Once you know your stores, you can whip through there faster. You also don't have to go in the order of what's in the app. I don't take any offers lower that 20.00. Remember that you made an extra 5.00 on top of that base pay, so if you take anything low, keep that in mind. Smaller orders should not take 45 minutes to shop and get to your car. You get faster as you keep doing it. I was also going to say that I love shopping in the hot months because I can get into the air.

Instacart I believe is good for picking produce, as their tips reflect on how they do. I know when I order from local store, and the shopper does not do, both the shopping & delivery, I feel like many do not care so much. I wish our Target 🎯 had produce (they do 40 minutes away) because I have never had issues w pickups there-there are some bad apples 🍎, but Zi think you have a better chance w produce when they are shopping, as well.

You will get faster at shopping. I was terrible on the time when I first started. I also don't shop in the order the app tells you to (especially if there are non food items or if there are perishables). I shop in my own way. Idk if that speeds it up or slows it down. lol
I have not accepted a return yet. I've only had one offer for that and didn't take it.....I thought you had to go in.

Just letting some of the Walmart plus customers know Walmart makes it very easy to return items through your delivery driver but once you get so many returns, Walmart will cancel your Walmart Plus Membership and you will not get a refund and since your membership is associated with your address and your credit card number you cannot make another Walmart Plus account, so if you think you're going to be returning something you better not do it on your Walmart Plus account....just giving everyone a heads up. It happened to me, and you can't even do curbside pickup either!!

How many returns are we talking about here? I live in a remote/rural area and rely heavily on my W+ membership while I’m saving to buy a new vehicle. When I have a problem item (damaged product or received wrong item) I call and ask for a refund which they always issue. They never offer to send a driver to pick up and return it to store. You’ve def peaked my curiosity 🤔

@@Stardust414 they were doing the same for me also. I don't know what the number is but you get so many negatives against your account, and whenever you get whatever Wal-Mart set number is you'll try to do a delivery one day and it will keep canceling after you place the order. I did finally get mine reinstated but took a lot of emails and phone calls with management. From what I understand it's all automatically computer generated if you get your account closed.

Like you have said in the past, it is great having an additional app to use in the down/slow times on the apps you prefer. I would say you have narrowed down your preference of orders to the curbside ones. My suggestion would be to keep an eye on the incentives and if there are "good ones" try to fulfill the requirements for that extra money. It can add up surprisingly fast! Also, around holidays seem to be better times for more and better orders! The bottom line is to do WHATEVER works for you!💖 Best of luck to you my friend!😁

@girlygirl1890 dang, that would suck. Ours is specific and cashier attendant has to log them on and off so no one else can use them. People who do shop n go can use them as well, but I have not seen a shop and go person (not that I'm there at all hrs..lol)

@girlygirl1890 sounds like it! Our only down here is that the pickup is slow as heck sometimes. Took 50 min to get my order tonight. If it wasn't for being my last order and making my goal with the $25 payout I would have canceled after 30 min. That's the 2nd time that has happened. A few times it's went to 30 min. We are lacking shoppers for pickup in my area.

Omgeee I am just cracking up watching this because it’s like watching myself especially with my day yesterday and the incessant re-offerings from spark that you decline over and over again and then when you ignore them, your screen fills up with all these crappy orders😂😂😂 I think I might tune in and watch you a bit more. You’re pretty funny.

Round robins drop at the same time every hour. Mine drop between the half hour and a quarter to hour chips are paid out 24 hours later almost similar to Uber where you have to wait an hour for your tip. spark is 24 hours. I rarely take a Sam’s Club because it’s never worth it and it appears the customers rarely tip. Just keep in mind if you get an alcohol order that is liquor, that tip will split in half after you complete. That is because the shopping order is given to somebody else to deliver and your tip gets shared with the person that delivers the groceries for some reason they split the liquor with the groceries and make it to orders and split the tip and they don’t tell you this so, if you ever see an order that just has liquor, split the tip in half and see if the delivery is still worth it.

Regarding curbside orders, Monday Walmart workers brought me a large 3 delivery order with no labels on 3 different totes, nor labels on loose bulk items
One worker was leaving labels on totes while loading bags and loose items into the back of my SUV, many items that belonged with another order
If I didn't check they would have had me load the wrong items into the wrong locations, and short customers part of their orders, while giving others some of their items
Many items that should have been bagged were unbagged, chemicals and detergents were mixed with food, raw meat wasn't bagged in plastic, produce was bagged with meat, paper bags were ripped, paper bags were overloaded etc, which is quite common
I'm usually busy double checking orders, and loading the mid, and front seats, so I often have to reorganize the rear of my vehicles to check for damage, bagging issues and possible damage during transport
Sure enough there were 2 squished loaves of bread, one leaking bottle in a 35 pack of water, and 3 watermelons that would have been rolling around in the back if I didn't check during my last curbside pickup order
Oddly enough they bagged shampoo in plastic bags, but not dripping raw meat and dripping rotisserie chickens
Many new Spark drivers take off with no labels on any bags, nor loose bulk items of some customer orders
Other times there's only one label on small orders, and that label is ripped, or won't scan after peeling it, and placing it on a bag, or loose bulk item

Love watching your videos. Hang in there. I was like you at first. But now Walmart is my main gig app. TODAY I GOT a monster order 3 drop off from Sam's club for $105.31. Done in one hour. They are giving you these orders to test you. I live aways from my Walmart and I turned it on and orders come in. You don't have to sit at the Walmart. Give it time. Set a goal. My goals for walmart is different from the uber eats (which is my filler app now).😅😊

I don't miss spark it was so much tip bait and tons 30 packs water in 3rd floor apartments.I also got accused from Walmart manager of stealing and I had call cooperate about false accusation. The district manager called and confirmed I didn't steal but so much dang drama. I now do my other apps and rides and much happier.

Spark is not as great as everyone says it is but it does pay off with incentives and sometimes I just want to have a guaranteed earning for the time I’m out there so it may not be as much but it sure beats waiting around on doordash when it slow
