    "I'm sorry you feel that way."
    That one-handed slap in the face is such a dismissive statement usually said by the AH who caused all the trouble. She has the right to feel the way she does.
    Her best response to the toxic family telling her they want to be family again would be "I want a million dollars, but that ain't happening either." Then block them, and move away.

    What gets me is the dad couldn’t cut Little liar Ella off but boy he didn’t mind cutting op out of his life. Then not coming to her wedding b/c the little liar wasn’t invited just makes me so mad.

    • @nephilimau
      @nephilimau Месяц назад +9

      Thay's what I was thinking, too... Like, you'd kick you daughter out onto the street and be happy to never speak to her again because you think she's lying about sneaking out and doing drugs, but when you find out it was all a lie from the other kid and that the three of you ruined your daughter's life over the other kid's lies, you still keep the other one around, and so closely that you don't go to the innocent daughter's wedding because the other one isn't welcome? Where's *her* punishment? Her fear of coming home, her privacy demolished, her being met at the door with rage every time she comes home? Her abdonment and homelessness?
      That's some bull

      @@nephilimau At the diner, I was hoping she would ask him if he was going to kick Ella out of the house now that she confessed to her crimes. What’s her punishment for her lies? I don’t even know why the little B would think she was invited to OP’s wedding after she destroyed her life. I guess dad wasn’t really serious about making amends with his daughter if he couldn’t come “alone”, because I don’t think I would have even invited Deborah either.

    • @gbengalsfan
      @gbengalsfan Месяц назад +4

      @ exactly and also the little liar wasn’t even his blood daughter. But yet he actually believed that all of what she was saying true. If that was my daughter I would try to get to the bottom of what was going on. Like you would think the dad would know how op was. He lived w/ her all her life. I also believe the stepmom wanted op gone too. That way it would be just the three of them.

      The usual excuse for that is "we lost one daughter, we don't want to lose another" without ever acknowledging that the one you are intent on keeping is WHY you lost the first one. If you are only going to end up with one, why keep the one that caused all of the trouble?

    Dad never truly meant his apology. He still didn’t get what Ella had done was life shattering. He didn’t want to make amends he just wanted it to appear he didn’t want the right thing. Dad isn’t a man he’s worthless because a real man wouldn’t have believed Ella and would search for the truth. Deborah worked this weak minded fool into believing his daughter wasn’t worth being part of the family. Dad did the worst thing possible he turned his back on his child and was okay with it.

    The accusations without evidence and rejecting of logical explanations remind me of my mon. The family dynamics were different with my family in that no one was feeding my mom lies about me doing bad things behind everyone’s back. It was her default explanation for why I would be 5 minutes late to arrive home from junior high on a 30 minute curfew when it took 35 minutes (at my fastest) to ride my bike home. Intense, volatile accusations almost every day. Suspicion and paranoia leave no room for listening or analyzing evidence and logic. All attempts at proving one’s innocence is automatically perceived as proof of lying.
    The anxiety attacks I periodically experienced were awful. 😣
