Right now heavy industry run on diesel and hydrogen is really the only replacement for it if we're going green for that.

The price point of EVs is currently way too high for most people. The H2 solution is at least 20 years away due to lack of infrastructure and energy required to make it. Other solutions such as autonomous vehicles that can be rented on demand may fill the gap.

The amount of lithium that is needed for EVs is very high and is not an unlimited resource. Hydrogen cars also use lithium to an extent but a much smaller amount than a conventional EV.

Electric vehicles were neat and all but it never got me excited for the future of cars. EV's have far too many drawbacks and annoyances for the average consumer. Hydrogen and what it can potentially do for the average consumer sounds amazing.

Great question. The infrastructure will have to be developed, similar to how the infrastructure for EV charging stations is currently being rolled out. Here are some of the hydrogen fueling stations locations in the US:

This will be better than petrol car. the hydrogen car will be a great benefit to mankind

Downvoting this video bc it is so selective in presenting information as to border on being misleading. Rather than focus on Honda’s way-too-late-to-market problems with both its hydrogen vehicle and its EVs, the video launches into a massive hydrogen propaganda piece. There is no discussion on the storage problem for hydrogen both onboard the vehicle and in refueling stations. There is a reason why the clarity and the Mirai are so cramped inside and have so little storage space-the hydrogen storage tanks take up all the space inside. Also, why does not the video discuss the lack of refueling stations outside of California and Washington states? If you are in Iowa, where will you get hydrogen fuel? Is a road trip to Texas a possibility even with the fast refueling times over an EV?
This video fails in its initial purpose of informing consumers and investors about Honda’s future, other than admitting the Clarity has been an utter failure, and Honda’s PR Dept has bare shelves on new stories to drum up interest.
