Another method: tie knots in them and roll, works like a charm and is SUPER easy. Only con is that you have to have long-ish locs

@@vari6129 Little balls are OK for those who are OK with them. For those who aren't, don't tie them. I tie mine, and I'm very OK with it. So are the people who tell me that they like my hair. It doesn't really matter to me whether they like it or not, though.

Dreadlocks is technically derogatory. Locs is a better word to describe our locked together hair 💪🏾 With love ❤️
Dreadlocks is not derogatory... the word is from the group of black cavaliers named the Buffalo Soldiers. They were also called "The Brothers with locks". But then they were fighting so relentlessly in battle against the native indians that they were later called the "Dreaded brothers with locks" because everyone feared them. The name was then cut down to "Dreadlocks Brothers". Basicaly how the term dreadlocks came to the world. Hope I taught you something useful today (:

When Europeans saw men with hair this way they called it "dreadful" that's where the term "dread locks" derived. You decide.
I like to call my hair dreads, it sounds cooler to me and thats what I learned to call them. Its not derogatory to me, I think it depends on how you choose to identify and what it means to you

This is my favorite thing about locs. If it’s thinning, NO PROB. If you cut it off, NO PROB , if you want mad inches, NO PROB SIS.

I’ve been playing around with lint. Damn near took my whole loc off.
This is a nice video, but I believe the method you used will add more tension to the loc and it will still eventually break. You can try instead to ‘fold’ the thinning hair into itself and crochet it with the rest of the healthy loc. Then roll to even it out 👌🏾

How do you do it without added hair? You just crochet the 2 sections together?
Comb the broken loc out with a comb braid it really really small, Hair will break off while combing the loc out , save it to wrap around the braid to make it look like the loc dont forget to wet afterwards and use a little locking jell or whatever you like....If I missed typed anything I'm sorry Just got off ,Amazon 10hour shift I'm very sleepy 😂
I've had my locks for about 8 years and ive always struggled with them thinning and eventually breaking , why do you thing that is ? I feel like there are dried out maybe .. how do you combat that ? Ive done coconut oil but didnt seem to help much!
How often do you retwist them?
@@PINKRIOT I actually don't retwist I started them by backcombing and palm rolling so when new growth comes in I usually do a little crochet for that. Thanks for the response
If they break from the root it's a genetic thing you can't really stop that if it's in the middle of the loc it's the way you fix them wash them and how you sleep with them a lot of people with locs are too aggressive with them as they get longer they stick to a lot of things.
