Wow ! Does this work for thicker spots in your threads. I roll my threads. My thread decision started in 2015 when I allowed my braid extensions to lock my hair. I just learned to properly and naturally take care of them. I would like to know how to use the tools threads ? I have 4C hair.

You have no idea how I’ve been on google trying to explain a “ball of hair”. This is literally my problem 😩😩 how do we know which needle to use
The best size for the crochet needle is .5mm and a .4 you get them nice and tight with the .5 and then you hit it with the .4 since it’s so small you can get individual hairs if you want or make your dread really extra tight after first hitting the dread with the .5
The thicker the needle it grabs more hair but it won’t tighten the dread as tight and neat as the .5 and .4 will unless your doing real thick dreads then the thicker needle will do better then the thin one

I had this and I left it alone and let my hair grow and added the new growth to the loc that was cut . A new barber cut into it and now I have to restart the process but it will blend it I didn’t use the method he did I just left it alone

He pretty much just stuffed the hair on the outside of the lock back on the inside, and tangled it some with the tool, and rolled it a bit. It just went really fast. I hope that this helps. That needle can be tricky.

That's just how dreadlocks are. You get buildup because you can't actually wash through all the locked up hair.
I don’t agree with that. I have locs and a good wash will remove all that white buildup on the outside. Lint doesn’t come out but that doesn’t look like lint.
@@yedzayi well yeah but since he got his loc repaired what was on the inside came out, so it made it look dirty. Like for instance I guarantee if you cut half of one of your locs and you look "inside" it it'll have buildup. You can't do anything about that unless you comb out your dreads.
Some people’s hair is bad on the inside coz they use waxes and gels etc that aren’t soluble in water and shampoo. I’ve only ever used oil and water for my retwisting alongside a hair detox every 3months. So when I cut them it wasn’t all white on the inside. Some youtubers have done videos on this.
