Imagine if Stolas was an antagonist in the series. Instead of feeling sorry for him and how bad his childhood was. He would’ve used Blitzø and put him on a short leash. And he would handle Stella better than he did before. As for his relationship with Octavia? I don’t know. It could be the same, or maybe she would have a better relationship with Stella. Man, now I wanna sketch out an AU for this idea.
I believe the original plan actually was for him to be an antagonist and use Blitz like a hitman, but somewhere that changed to what it is now. No complaints here though 😅
I agree with that, infact I actually like Stolas more if Stolas is more of an antagonist to Blitzø than an endgame lover and its more fitting. Although if it is to fit Stolas with his original Stolas lore, it would be more interesting where Stolas gains a redemption arc but with better writing where Stolas is not only a pacifist to humans or mortal humans, he is a pacifist to the lower borns aswell.
I honestly like both designs. The first one feels more like she’s actually a goetia, but the second actually fits her personality and role a lot better.
I think her hair looks better in the original design, I like the white tips, while her tail looks better in the final version. Her overall outfit looks about the same in both except for her beanie which I think suits her current character as a depressed and anxious teenager dealing with her family falling apart. I think the crown and more regal look would suit her better if her character develops towards a full fledged member of the Goetia instead of just a precautionary heir.
I'd like to see Octavia wearing a proper tiara during a formal setting later in the show. Because even tho she is a cute and moody teenager she is also a Ars Goetia princess and would love to explore that part of her.

She resembled Stella more in her past design, by the looks of her portrait, she also prob had some of her personality too. We don’t have enough screen time nor character development for Octavia to know whether she really took after her mom or not though..
Early design via had white in her hair from Stella, which was expected I guess but final Via looks better. She still has Stella's traits like her eyes and her temper, but she's totally Stolas' daughter, and I LOVE that. She LOOKS like what she is, that Stolas let her be a casual teen (as much a princess could be) rather than forcing her to be a regal, crown and gown wearing princess.
Honestly, I like her canon version but I kinda think her OG version looks more like a real combination of Stella and Stolas so it looks a bit more authentic to me. Canon version of Via honestly just looks like a female version of Stolas, I still like both tho.
It would be great to see her original design as her like an adult because her current design kinda gives off the teen vibe which I love so I really hope they bring back the old design for her adult version because that would be great

Imo they should have kept the more regal look. She looks more like Stolas on her final but her pilot version is a mix of both Stolas and Stella. She can still be an angsty teen while looking royal. Thats actually a pretty cool idea I want to see more of
Stella's early design used complementary contrast and was pretty cool but Inam also thankfull for the improvment becsuse it is not so complicated. I prefer the old design more because feathered cardigan is the cool idea and I prefer girls with short hair. Words of future charachter designer.
I really like that the final design has her actually _wearing_ a cardigan, rather than having the feathers forming a shape like a cardigan over her shirt/dress, since it gives more of a feel of her actually wearing clothes over her feathers. Also, the bolder eye makeup and slightly softer shapes to her face and hair make her look much more like her own person, rather than having her hair-feathers look like a weird mashup of her parents (given that the original design appears to have a lot of the same pointy shapes as Stella's, but also some of Stolas' little front tufty bits). It feels more like her choice to wear it as she does, rather than it just being that way, and I could see her dying her hair-feathers to that darker shade intentionally to mesh with her emo style. Also, I really just love that she feels like a totally normal teenager...she wears big, floppy clothes, she has a beanie that's probably giving her terrible hat-hair, and sticks a tiara on the front in a way that feels like an eye-roll "do I _have_ to do the princess thing, mum?"...she's a whole person even though she's a tertiary character.
Pilot Stella looked like she would've been understanding of Stolas's situation considering they were in the same boat together, but Octavia looked more self confident in her pilot design. I love the current one more
Since they went less with "snobby Princess" and more with "angstiest teen" the new design definitely fits more. But personally, I like her old one much better. The crown and cardigan feather were such nice touches. I think it would've been peak design for the cardigan feathers idea in the official version of Octavia
I actually love the old design, feels like an older version of her. That’s probably why they changed it to have her more teenage-ish, would love to see a sort of return to form after some more growth from her (bring her back Vivzie please)
I’d also like to point out that they actually kept her little Tiara by making it a part of her beanie hat. I also never really noticed the stars on her outfit before until now which I honestly think is a cute detail to how much the meteor shower Stolas showed to Octavia really stuck to her in her childhood ☺️
I like to think Octavia still has the gradient in her hair but she just dyes it black like an edgy teen. I feel like the blonde in her hair makes her look more like her mother, which I like, and adding the fact that she dyes her hair black just makes so much sense for her character.
