    Nice work by the guys at CV Classics. That is pretty close to how we do it except that we mock up the interior trim panel to make sure there is clearance.

      Thanks Ken for the kind words. We have used many of your parts on this build to include the complete interior and console. Very impressed with the quality and fitment. We will be using a lot more on future upcoming builds. Thanks for putting out quality custom parts for these cars.

    I made a video years ago on how to install my tubs .

    Awesome! The MTF install video isn't very good. This is a lot easier to follow. I'll be doing the MTF mini-tub install on my 1969 fastback soon

      @@RS-gh2mf I like his video because he gives some good measurement reference points.

      @@petersessler7124 I actually did update it with more measurements and added it to the MTF forum. I also looked at what MTF did to the latch brackets, which looks really hokey 🙄

    How wide of a tire does this allow for?

    • @cvclassics
      @cvclassics  Год назад +1

      If I remember correctly it gives about an extra inch or two, we went with this so the original interior would still fit. It is a Mustang to Fear tub kit, you could check their website to see what they say as far as tire figment.

      I believe The widest you can go is a 275. I'm gonna get this kit for my "65. My buddy, who is a good welder, is going to help with the install. He went with Detroit Speed tubs in his '66 so he could run 305s. Narrowing the rear seats was a nightmare. He got tired of the hassle and let a upholstery shop do the job.

      I have 275 60 r15 drag radials on my 14 gt and I don't spin at all it has probably 450 crank hp. So 275 might be good enough.

      The widest we have done on a 67 was 285/40/18. They were Continental Extreme Contact tires. There was about 3/4" clearance both inside and outside without rolling the lip.
