- Deathwing by Whitemane is a newly launched Cataclysm progressive private server realm that launched only a few days ago. It started fresh with everyone at level 1 and will progress through the expansion's patches progressively at a very fast pace over the upcoming months. I have been having a blast with this server...the increased rates and increased drop chances make it so rewarding to do anything : level toon/ farm mats/ level professions/ do bgs or dgs. Never a dull/boring/lethargic moment... and the world is so lively...full of people doing stuff instead of afk-ing

idk if they're more toxic than admins elsewhere but, obviously, ppl behind servers will generally treat me better as a content creator

guy says its the best server launch, no crashes no lag no bugs, but underneath him in chat few people complain about lag, bugs etc. 😂

It wasn’t a bad launch at all tbh. No crashes for a server launch with 3-4k is good. The lag happens on every launch because everyone is clustered in the same area and spamming global.
But yes, Whitemane has a lot of bugs in the leveling content. Most of the Cata stuff has been fixed.
I can only talk from my experience and I had no such issues, as you could also see from the livestream, I can't talk about the experience of other players
Just found out professions are 5x leveled a druid herbalist and there is a skip from 300 to 450 straight to cata herbs, they go 50-80 a stack in the auction house. went from 0 to 4000 gold real fast. also the honor points from pvp can be traded into embersilk cloth stacks and those go for 150g a stack minimum. This server is a goldmine :D
I am happy that the launch has been so successful and the realm has been so well received but sad on the other hand because with this basically the PVE content is played even less than in maelstorm, so I guess we will have to wait for cataclysm classic for the PVE leveling to those of us who enjoy it
For PvE leveling - yes, the BGs are way overtuned

Was daleran wow whitemane servers? I played that wotlk server about a decade ago and it was good. I'm looking into playing cata again so I'll download this tonight

So I have been playing on this server for the past few days. Been leveling through bgs and doing instant 85 bgs also. My main issue is that, every BG is a steamroll. I did probably 15 different BG's today. Not one had an equal fight, in fact is was so far in the other direction (1 team capping all 5 in AB all 4 in EOTS or camping GY in WSG). Even at lvl 85 its this bad. Why is this server like this?

I didn't have many problems with bugs or crashes, but I feel the progression is way to fast. I hit 85 and all my pre bis gear to start raiding, plus maxxed professions and made 30k gold in like 2 days. This was playing casually. It was fun while it lasted but what now? I don't pvp so am I resorted to leveling a bunch of alts while I raid once a week for 2hrs? Anyway I have maxxed JC and Enchanting, also Alliance. Hit me up if you need some - Riggins
I was surprised how fast it went for me too, but that was the realm’s goal, I am glad I didn’t need to play much to hit max lvl 😅

Could you say which are the 3 most played private servers? i know the first one is theoretically Warmane, but which is the second and third one?
Maybe Ascension, Turtle WoW, Sirus WoW and Circle which are both mostly Russian

Same as always, melees in general are a bit better early on but not much is changing anyway

My honest problem with private servers is idk what i wanna play really. Sometimes I'm in the mood for cata for a while but i don't wanna farm ds i hate that raid. Sometimes I'm in the mood for legion but there's just something about that expansion that doesn't keep me there for a long time. Dragonflight right now on firestorm is kinda meh, not because of the seever the server is top notch just the patch they are on is kinda meh imo and dragonflight in general is kinda meh. I miss the feeling i used to get when i was 16/17 and playing on a private server gave a community feeling that you would make your wow home. Now wow private servers make me feel like im in an amusement park trying out every ride and having some fun only to leave at the end
Then it’s maybe time to quit with the good memories of the past because it’s never gonna feel the same…I like playing on Warmane for its stability over the years for these reasons
@@MEYTRIX I agree. I kinda wish warmane did newer expansions like legion and dragonflight but at a much faster pace. I'm sick of wotlk to the core where the mention of icc makes me wanna turn my pc off so onyxia was a good change for me. I would love a warmane version of dragonflight with fated raids from all past expansions every week. Wishful thinking I guess xD
